As a guy who plays iRacing, I want to have the ability to have all of my cars look similar, almost like, oh, I don't know, like I've got a racing team... Because I do. đź’ˇ So, I'm really hoping that there is a livery editor.

You can do that on GT5. Its called use the same paint chip and rim design.

An answer like this is like a big F Y to all the people asking for some decent customization features.

To me using the same chip and rim design as the only option for using similar cars sounds borderline retarded.

But that's nothing compared to what we want to... PAINT CHIP and RIMS? Are you kidding us? Actually, my sister with her toys can customize them more than us ours cars in GT5.. :grumpy:

This reminds me of the movie Orgazmo, and there was a character that would fart into his hand and say, "Merry Christmas" as he threw it into another character's face.

Is everyone forgetting he's talking about GT5? Not GT6? What else can be done in GT5 to make it not lazy? Unless I'm mistaken.

Seeing as this is a GT6 forum and thread that wants a livery editor for GT6, referring back to saying you can do this in GT5 is asinine.

I think he's saying you can already create a team by using the same paint colour and coloured wheels basically probably. I think the others must have misunderstood his post. :P

I think he was implying that this feature would work in GT6 since it's already in the code base.

I hope we get to Paint our cars and colors and have Paint chips as well,I like the idea of using real paint chips but it's definitely idiotic to have to collect and Buy Paint.DLC

Oh, okay that's true. But to be honest I really do hate the whole paint chip thing as well. I also hope for a livery editor just like everyone else. đź‘Ť

Maybe there could be a restriction for liveries online. I for one have never seen inappropriate or sexual designs on stickers/vinyls on TDU2 or Forza online, but then again those games don't really have that diverse of an audience.

Same here when it came to NASCAR 09 or Shift 2, Didn't see any of that. I think even with a diverse audience, The Painting community tends to be very self-policing on those things.

not borderline retarded, absolutely ****ing retarded.

it's an easy mistake to make seeing as GT6 is essentially a re-branded GT5.

I think that at this point enough changes have been announced to warrant the title GT6.

Off the top of my head we have more GT3 Cars, more track day type cars (aka. good vehicles for tournaments/one make races), Andalucia to drive around in and design courses in, graphical improvements, a good number of new tracks, night and day settings added to some tracks, a driving physics overhaul, a possible livery editor, possibly improved aerodynamic customisation, and possibly improved sounds.

And that's just what's been announced/implied so far, there could still be more.

From what I'm seeing/hearing so far, GT6 is already shaping up to be better than GT5. I'm intrigued to find out why you think that as well, seeing as though you must have played GT6 already and know every piece of information about it, please, tell me.

i have played the build at Racer X actually, it's nothing to write home about if you've played GT5 to death, left feeling quite unimpressed, glad the PS4 is right around the corner.

It may not impress you but from what I heard, the physics are top notch so far, so I'm sure there should be great info at Gamescom and TGS to prove GT6 isn't a GT5 upgraded version. Oh, and don't forget, it is only a demo of course. :sly:

GT6 will be an upgraded GT5, it's unavoidable when it's on the same console and using most of the same assets. It's not automatically a bad thing before you start but it's pretty unavoidable with a game like this on the same console.

True, and your right Samus. Even though GT6 will be an upgraded GT5, it really shouldn't a bad thing, right? I'll take it. đź‘Ť

It felt a little more unforgiving so to say, but not nearly as realistic as iRacing, especially the loss of grip in the tire model, it still needs work.

Alright, thanks for sharing your impression SlowInFastOut. đź‘Ť At least we know the build so far isn't quite up there yet. :)

The gripe that most using that phrase have is not that GT6 will be an evolution of GT5 (racing games generally should be evolutions of their predecessors) but that their first impressions of GT6 are such that they think the improvements made are too minor. The inclusion of standard cars, and the apparently limited number of new tracks, are examples of what people might point to to support that.

In either case, I'm definitely waiting for independent reviews and feedback before I buy GT6. If it has a livery editor.

True. However, despite GT6 having those minor improvements, making it be viewed as GT5 spec III or whatever; like Samus said, it doesn't automatically make it a bad thing because it is on the PS3 after all. ;) But dem physics is one of those improvements I truly like. Like uhh, like the other game did. :P

Alright, no problem. đź‘Ť Hopefully I'll be able to share my feedback like the others too in the future.
