So, back to Monaco.....anybody going to be able to do any testing today? I'm at work for several more hours ( :( ) but if anybody's going to run some laps I'd be interested to see how the 2 F1 cars are fairing against each other.

To those that have done some testing already, do you think a PP restriction would work best or HP/Weight restrictions? I could see both of them having certain advantages but not sure which would be best. I think it's a sure thing that each car will have to have different restrictions, but that shouldn't be a problem.

I think it should be HP and weight restriction. If we use PP some cars will have more HP and will be faster on straightaways. And other cars will be lighter and faster in the turns. All depending how you set your car up to reach max PP. IMO when you're using the same cars I think it's good to use HP and KG. If we were running an entirely different series with mixed matched cars, I think the PP system would be the best bet. But since we are going to use 2 cars I think that their weight and HP should match. So if one car is lighter I think the minimum regulated should be set so that lighter car will have to add ballast. And to compensate you should knock the HP lower than the higher HP car.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too. Since we're trying to make 2 very different cars be competitive with each other we're going to have to regulate the variables of weight, aero, hp, etc. I'm not too concerned about the cars weighing the same as each other so long as they are on a similar level. Same with the lap time, if it's a little off the real world times then that's fine as long as one F1 car doesn't dominate the other one.

I think having the 2 different cars run together should be very interesting, since one favors mechanical grip and one favors aero grip everyone can pick the car that best suits their driving style and it will really be a competition to see which kind of grip is the best! I'm liking it! 👍

Which one favors mechanical grip? I very rarely use aero unless I can hold a line in a turn with it, but only if it gives me more speed out of the turn. I use a controller and like my cars to be really loose and twitchy. I guess thats easier for me with a controller. I very seldom tune my cars tight to whip around corners. So...which one favors mechanical grip? I hope the F10...because thats what I own thus far.

I believe the F10 favors mechanical grip. The F2007 has bigger wings and all kinds of aero bits around the car to increase aerodynamics. I think it was 2009 that the new rules/car were introduced which went to smaller wings and removed a lot of the aero pieces in order to favor mechanical grip. They also went to slick tires which increases mechanical grip. The F2007 has grooved tires.

(If I'm wrong on any of the above points I'm sure Wardez will correct them for me)

I have a room open for Monaco GP testing, using the Ferrari's only.

I find the DS3 very frustrating. Can't even touch 1:14 with either of the cars on softs. Monaco is so narrow it's difficult to control.

The Ferraris cannot be traded.
They can however be gotten through a Level 24 ticket which can be traded, and I happen to have one.
You have a 1 in 3 chance of getting the specific car you want as all you can get is the FGT, F2007, and F2010.

So what we can do is start a sort of "ticket chain" for those that don't have the car we need.
I can send the ticket to the first person, they can save their game data to a USB/another profile then send the ticket to the next person, rinse, repeat.

I say we use the F2007 just because I think it's better looking. :dopey:

can i please have the lvl 24 ticket
i need it

Did an 11.206 in the F10 on softs in free run with half the fuel gone.

Did 11.540 in the F2007 on softs in free run with full fuel.

They seem pretty well matched as is.

I honestly say balance weight up on 2007 to 2010 specs. Then test them

I need to get my F10 broke in as well need to chase a tune. I can't seem to get a balance on this machine to suit me, yet. I got a 12.4 out of loaded with fuel.

When we did it I got down to 1:12.8. Reventon10 was down to 1:09.xx in the F10. Tool was in the 1:10 range with the F2007. So your times for now are way off. The lap record with no aids (no ABS) is sub 1:10.

Its pretty tricky, both cars have similar performance.

I guarantee our races have the fastest F1 drivers.....D-UNEXPECTED001 & reventon10. So your "triple crown" isnt really a real test against the top drivers. Many of your guys are 5 seconds a lap off the pace.

For the record my best is a 1:09.899. During a race, in F2007, w/ soft tires, no ABS, had 2 areas of good draft. I think Reventon's best is low 1:09's no ABS (F10)
