the "just plain ugly" car thread

This car is just... *Vomits*

BMW X6, added to my list of ugly crossovers. I think the only crossover I like the look of even is the Ford Edge.

The Audi A2 just looks off to me.

Am I the only one bothered by the 2013 X Trail?

All the proportions are wrong for me. All of them. It's a shame because the preceding model was one of the prettier kinda-SUVs.

^They could have made that front amazing by enlarging the headlights like so:

That said, I still think it looks fine. It's a great looking vehicle.

The Porsche Cayenne was never going to win any design awards.

It's Macan baby brother is also gawpingly ugly

Not that I disagree about the Cayenne being ugly, but I don't see how it gets more hate than any other SUV. There are far more ugly SUV's out there but the Cayenne seems to be the only one to get mentioned. I guess when people thought "Porsche SUV" they thought something more performance oriented and less family oriented. The front of that Macan thing is pretty frightening though... :scared:

Suffers the same fate as 99% of other Volkswagen group products... It's the generic brand face, profile and rear, loaded up into photoshop and Ctrl+T 'd. As with VW's, Audi's, Seats, Skodas, Bentleys and other Porsches, it's not that it's ugly, it's just entirely formulaic and predictable... It's not just the same design language... It's the same words! (Just used in a different context!), and there's always that heavy overtone of badge engineered platform sharing that you get for the VW/Porsche group.

I always found the second generation Cayenne to be pretty good looking. Although the design lost the slightly tough looks from the first gen (of which was...considerably ugly, but I do like the facelifted one). I think the Macan's not that bad looking, but we really don't need another small SUV/crossover in this world...

*ugly cars*

Dear god, what were they thinking?! I'm sorry, but I think the styling idea is the reshape the car entirely, not put new grills & lights on older car shapes.

As for the Cayenne; I personally think the 2nd gen version looks good too:

For instance, the bright green on this one with the black rims just works imo.

The new CTS.
But the front? Not so much...

It looks like they copied the lights of a GT-R onto the grill of an E-class. Do not likes.

That VW Jetta in China is hideous . Can just imagine what the inside looks like - I would guess a time machine back to the 80's!

Funny that you say that, because I went google searching and well...

Here you go and you're right, it's like taking a time machine back to the 80s/90s

I don't actually think that looks to bad. Would be better if the entire dash was black but otherwise it's "ok".

hahaha, I've been looking at some of the cars that china makes and it's quite a laugh.

The Chinese Mini. XD

It just looks terrible. The worst part is there are about 10 versions and this is the best looking one.
ford-e350-cargo-specs.jpg

If they want to replace these ^^^ with euro-vans they should at least make them look like the front end wasnt scavenged from a little Peugeot.

The top one is a Dodge..the other 2 are Fords. Totally different designs.

The only on the left looks like trucks front the '80s but the lights flipped upside down. Only new trucks I somewhat like.

If I'm getting a van I'm getting one of these:

I'd like to nominate this baby, the 2014 Toyota 4Runner. There's just so much going on with the front end, I don't know where to begin.
