The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

The 'Laser lights' on the new R18 are an interesting development. Many of the drivers of the slower cars already found the brightness of the Audis lights to be excessive and more than a little blinding when coming up behind them so lets hope this does not make this problem any worse.

Freakin' lazer lights:)

How cool is that! The new R18 looks badass.

WEC 2014 is gonna be great!

I wonder if Mcnish will maybe stay as a test driver for future Prototypes? We all know he's still going to be involved with Audi and his opinion is highly respected...

It says he will help them in a wide range of roles so it is a definite possibility. I just wonder about the balance of the #1 Audi now that Alan is gone. Whether Loic and Tom can be as strong as they were last year with a new team-mate.

Little bit overdue for Muscle Milk... I would have loved to see them take the P1 HPD over there and kick some butt!

On their Twitter account they have said they will announce their plans soon. They could still race in P1 category. I hope they do, it really needs more privateer cars.

Not even sure. I stated that based on the nomenclature of the previous cars.

I understand that, I thought they said they were finally making a new model and I missed it. Cause I agree the next will be called that due to the past cars also being TS0X0

No, blue is beautiful! Along with the chrome highlights and the white background it's the best LMP1 livery in years.

I guarantee it would've never been blue had Peugeot not dropped out.
Question is, what is the Porsche going to be? Grey and black will look sorta dull I think. I remember audi having a black ultra and a grey e-Tron, which I really didn't care for, but to me the porsche doesn't sound good, look good, but the mechanics are a bit interesting, apart from it being somewhat identical to the TS0...whatever
