Again with the powertrain thing. I assume this is referring to the hybrid system, but the fact that they say it's very interesting interests me. Is this very interesting on a really geeky technical level or something us mere fans can get our teeth into?

:D

So, is that basically saying that there's a possibility that we'll get this car in game? If so, when? On the exact same day of the Superbowl (when the car itself debuts)?

I would assume then, sometime in February, or sometime around the time of the race.

From what I've read, the ICE unit will have 600-ish horsepower, the rest is backed up by electric motors. It also depends on how the car will store and harvest the energy, and the rate at which it will release it, so 2,000hp probably won't be possible for very long - if at all - during the race.

It'd be nice to think they can turn the wick right up to the point of bursting to emulate Mark Blundell's lap in 1990 though :D

Where do Mulsanne's Corner even get these rumours from? I still expect the Nissan GTR LM-Nismo or whatever it was called to be a mid engined rear wheel drive car with a rear wing and an electric motor powering the front wheels to produce a combined power output of 1200 PS tops.

Prove me wrong Nissan. Give us a front wheel drive Batmobile with no aerodynamic parts and four billion horsepower and use it to win Le Mans. I'd love to see that as much as anyone else, I'm sure.

Mr Fuller has insiders all across the community.

I think that we all are still forgetting the image of the LMP GTR under that tarp...you can clearly see a rear wing, and that it looks to be mid engined.

Off-topic: Does anyone know the font of the number:

I have an rFactor request I'm doing and I just need that to complete it.
