The Lion's Den - California Now Released

Cool. I tried drifting too, because I was so far in the lead it didn't matter. It's very confidence inspiring. I think that a well driven Clio/Tuned or NSX Type R will hurt it too.

Sorry I couldnt get back to you about the XK, Ive had trouble getting some time on the PS3, so I havent been able to test your tune yet, will hopefully be able to tonight.

Nice tunes in here....I'd love to see a GT 40 tune...I posted the one I use right now in the american tuners thread...check it out if you like

Sorry Pitfighter, this is a closed setup thread (my setups posted only). If I could ask you to remove that setup that would be greatly appreciated. Send it to me by PM then though, and I'll gladly give you a review (feedback).👍

Or better, post it in your own thread, so we can all review it! :) [edit]I just noticed you already did. ;) [/edit]

@ The Lion's Den

Tonight I drove the whole evening the Lancia Delta Integrale TLD online.

The tune itself is really good. Actually I did expect it to handle well since the Alfa was also a joy to drive. I took the car first for a practice run. You almost can't go wrong with this car. Cornering is great, handling is sublime.

Then I took it online, it was an complet other experience. Where is the acceleration out of the corner, the straightline speed. It's there but not in the league of the 147, Integra, C4, Mini and even the dull Golf...I really, really had to push to keep up our to get back to the leaders. Sometimes this was possible, sometimes not. Mostly I ended between place 6 and 4, my best was second.

It seems when you take this car online a lot of people really want to beat you within the first few corners. It's a pitty!

I beautifull italian drive, but it just can't keep up..:ouch:

I tried oh god I tried, winning ist almost sheer impossible.

Never the less, please put up the tune, because even if it hasn't the speed it's still an absolute joy to drive 👍

I'll keep it running online! I feel happy in it! :)

Free run I did a 2.31.xx (only ran a few laps)
Online I managed a 2.27.xx (this was with the catch up boost!)

I'll to some serious timetrail trashing tomorrow evening.

Kind regards,
Galgospeed

Finally, I got my hands on your tune and had a good test of it...............

WOW. The XK is a lot better now, I think your tune was a step in a better direction compared to mine, mine was concentrating on top speed and general acceleration, but yours focuses on improving the handling, especially the corner speeds. I felt that the XK couldnt do much more with its cornering, but I was wrong, by quite a ways off.
Anyway, great tune, cheers 👍

Tonight I drove the whole evening the Lancia Delta Integrale TLD online.

Where is this tune? Am I blind? Wouldnt mind testing it out since I drove the delta tonight stock and it was a total dog, only wanted to go in a straight line.

nd4 holden spd has to put it up. He asked me to testdrive the car tonight before to post the setup here in this thread. It probably be here soon. :):):)

your running 2 garage's? man when do you find the time. everything looks good. I wish I had a ps3 so I could test them out.👍

So I decided to try out your 512bb yesterday. I cannot believe how neutral the car was, and how much grip it had. That setup is a great stepping stone to make your own for your driving style. I later decided to tune up the power all the way and still it held its own and remained planted all throughout the turns at Daytona Road Course. I have to say this setup is the best thing for a beginer to have something fast that they can control and make it better for themselves.
10/10 on the car. Bravisimo!

Can't say I didn't warn you.;) I was thinking, and you remember what I said about the torque drop off contributing to slow acceleration? What if we sacrificed some weight and tried to increase the power to improve high end torque? Handling may suffer a little bit, but the torque is heavily needed in high RPM. I'll try this before posting the setup.

Thanks man, I hope you can have some good fun with it now. I appreciate the kind comments.👍

Thanks man.👍 A 10/10!:D It's great fun beating people with it because I don't think they expect you to be able to :sly: It is bliss driving it, especially because of how cool it is.

All reviewers that just posted may request a car of me to tune if they like.

hahaha yes you did warn me :sly: , I thought about the setup to. Instead of sacrificing weight we could also try to put on R2 Tyres and increase HP a bit 💡

I tried this before, and not much will make it terribly better. I would consider wors tyres, but today I found that the only way to get an ideal torque band means actually losing 20Nm torque. Above that is turbo lag.:indiff: Test it yourself, you increase the power to make the torque in a higher rev range, but overall you lose 20Nm. Then again, we weren't really using that mx torque before. *runs to try worse tyres on the Lancia with more power*

Edit: No, it was't enough. The acceleration difference only really showed itself at high rpm in 4th and above. Not enough to overcome the handling. I did find that with R3 tyres and current weight, you can make power +1 without changing PP. It's almost merely a cosmetic change but you never know. I could have cracked a low 2'30 lap time in it just then if I didn't run wide one corner and hit the grass.:ouch: That gap can be made up from online boost. I'll post it now.

Description: When a customer brought in his Delta for some improvement we were really excited at the opportunity to work on such a famous classic. The Lancia's 4cyl engine was left nearly untouched bar some performance ignition leads. We focused on handling, and what a handler it is now. When we took it out for some laps we were a little confused at the lacking speed comapared to some other cars in its class. When we threw it on the dyno we learned that there was torque drop off at high RPM contributing to lower acceleration. This should be kept in mind for manual drivers, earlier shifting may be necessary.

This means you sacrificed some weight and gained extra power? , if so please let me know. I'll test both setups this evening.

It's extremely sexy in white :) , .....guys I mean the Lancia :sly:

just wondering why I kept that Lancia revving up to 6 or 7 thousand RPM :dunce: , I'll change gears earlier....hihihi:)

TLD Alfa Romeo 147

Note: All primary testing done at Suzuka with G-25. All races were 3 laps. All aids off except ABS=1.

I bought this car on a whim to try out your set as I don't normally like FWD's. Your setup turned out to be a real race winner this evening on Suzuka PP500. Out of many races this evening, I won every race but two and those were both 2nd place finishes. Using this car almost feels unfair! I fell once to a well driven Integra that I could never catch up to, no matter what, and I fell once to a well driven Mini that I had been competing with all night. The guys I lost to where just better than me.

Pro's
**Very nimble, balanced, and predictable
**Only a slight lift-off will get it pointed straight again during understeer
**Gearing perfect for Suzuka track

Con's
**The car can be easily outdistanced by the Integra on the straights, but there is probably not much that can be done to rectify that. It really only happens during the beginning of the race when you are caught up in traffic. Once you can pass the Integra and hit the next set of technical corners, the Integra will become a spec in your rear view mirror!

Personal thoughts
**I increased the front and rear brakes a couple of notches but that is my personal preference. However, the brakes in your set are fine as is. I'm considering turning ABS off completely because the car is so forgiving.
**Only real competition was the Mini through the corners. I was usually able to make a big enough gap through the corners to prevent the Integras from catching sufficiently up on the straights.
**I hate FWD, but this setup made me change my mind a bit...especially at $50,000 a win in the PP500!!!

TLD Ferrari 512BB

Note: Hotlapped for primary testing at Suzuka with G-25. Online races were 3 laps at HSR forward. All aids off except ABS=1.

I also bought this car on a whim as I really don't like Ferrari's and prefer to race American and British cars. I accidentally used it in the PP700 HSR and was wondering why I couldn't compete well. I was only finishing in the upper 3rd each time. Once I realized my mistake, I maxed the HP. Maxed, it still specs out well below the 700 points but it is still a contender if the track is full of wreckers/bad drivers and they can be avoided. I placed in the top 3 a number of times against 700 point cars and I almost won with it but the loser disconnected the server on the final straight. Against an experienced group, it would lack the HP to compete in those races though...but it was not tuned for those races anyways. It's just wanted to make a testament to how well the car performs in the class above against the average crowd.

Pro's
**Very quick
**Limited wheelspin
**Brakes well...and stable under braking
**Corners like a charm (can out-corner most cars of similar spec)
**Oversteer is easily controlled and is steady under "sudden lift-off" conditions
**I'll be using this car a lot more often now
**Cornered well at Suzuka, but out-cornered everything at HSR!!!

Con's
**None I can think of really (regarding the tune)
**I wish I had driven it sooner

Personal thoughts
The cockpit in this car provides one of the best views of the road ahead. In my hands at least, the car is not really fast on the straights but it does have very good acceleration. Most of the distance I created was through the corners, but the faster cars soon caught back up on the next straight. A sixth gear would help but that is not possible atm. Great job on this setup. It is a pleasure to drive.

TLD Ford Mustang GT

Note: All primary testing done at Suzuka with G-25. All aids off except ABS=1. I have yet to race it online.

I currently hold 3rd place in the Standard World Records with it at Suzuka (in stock form) so I am pretty familiar with the car. I hotlap this car a lot but I have yet to race it online. Untuned, 5th gear is a real bear and you'll never get it to speed efficiently.

Pro's
**Very balanced
**More nimble than I had anticipated for a car of this weight
**Accelerates very well compared to stock form
**Braking is predictable and smooth
**Very limited wheelspin and oversteer
**Predictable and controllable under "sudden lift-off conditions"

Con's
**Not really a con, but the gearing needs to be adjusted a bit as it redlines well before T1 at Suzuka...and that is the shortest straight in the online tracks.
**Nothing to really gripe about since I haven't raced it online yet. I don't see many running the Mustang online though, so I figure it is probably not the best option anyways. Yall can happily prove me wrong though.

Personal thoughts
I've been working on a setup for this car off and on for a while now. I find yours to be much better. My personal thought is that your setup is about as good as you can get the car to be without the ability to add sc's/turbos/aerodynamics/weight reduction etc. With some tinkering in the gears to suit specific tracks, I feel that it might do OK. My brother has this same car ('07) and I have driven it a bit. (My 5.0 is a bit faster up to 70 mph though.) The redline and exhaust sound is not accurate, but that's the game and has nothing to do with your setup. I love the Mustang in GT5 as it feels better than the one in GT4. The cockpit is spot on. I'll give it a good run online this week and further test it against the competition. I edit this reply with my results.

Weight stayed the same, nothing changed except power +1. The game allowed it, who am I to argue with a couple extra Newton Metres at high rpm. It is sexy in white.

Whoa, 3 reviews!:D When I can change someone's opinion of a vehicle through a good tune, I know I've done my job right. Although you mentioned lifting off during understeer on the Alfa, meaning there was understeer. I'm bringing a couple updates to the setup, I might go and put them in now. You might like to try them. I look forward to hearing about your Mustang races, but like you said, it's not the best online option, so don't hope for too much. 3 reviews means you have 3 request car coupons so to speak. You can request of me to tune 3 cars if you like.

NOTICE
The Alfa Rome 147 has been updated and is now faster, the settings changes are:
Spring Rates: 8/3
Damper: 6/4
Camber: 1.0/0.5
Enjoy.:)

The understeer was not a criticism and I hope you do not take it as such. To my knowledge, all FWD's are subject to understeer when pushed too hard. When in a heated race through the 'eses at Suzuka, I am pushing to the limit and sometime's past that limit. It is great that this car recovers so quickly and that is what I like about it so much.

I'll be sure to try the updated setup at my next earliest opportunity. TY

Description: Ladies and gentlemen, may I present what could easily be the fastest 4cyl track car of our time. This Amuse makes so much power I had to rub my eyes in disbelief when I first saw it. Then I had to rub my eyes again when I seen how ugly it was, and the hotwheels, plastic looking interior. My eyes are now hurting. TLD has designed this one to compete at the highest level of road racing currently available, and compete it does. Speed an cornring ability are in no short supply, but controllability has its limits here, so be extra careful on the throttle.

Delta you tuned.. like you mentioned is not so fast but handling is kinda impressing, you can go all the time on full throtle almost. Nice car i managed 2.25 on suzuka so far and probably will do that faster.

I'll say! I only get a 2'30/31 in that car. Are you playing the PAL or JPN version?

Hey Holden, just wanted to drop a line and see if tuning a BMW Concept Tii would be on your list. I started a thread on this in the European Tuners sub forum, but as always, my threads get no love :indiff:

Just looking for a solid setup for Suzuka and/or Fuji.
Pro Physics.
No aids.
S2 tires for time trials.
Using G25 wheel.

The car is great fun, but need to tame the rear end to extract maximum potential. Thanks if you can help, if not, thanks anyways 👍

I might do a Tii, but it would be on R3 tyres, and tuned for 600 PP probably. (I suck at RWD and sports tyres, not the tuning, the driving). Do a review for me of one of my cars and I'll do it exactly as you like, S2 tyres, time trial mode. (ABS on 1 would be OK?)

Hey Holden, I just wanted to thank you for your hard work. I"m running many of you tunes and love them. I appreciate it and keep up the good work.

Hey holden if u will have some time would you like to check some tunes for skyline Nur for 600pp? Would apperciate that, one of my favorite cars =]
