make sure the wheel is straight, if u turn the wheel even a couple of degrees the code will not work, try with the wheel straight, it should work.

Anybody who ordered from there care to comment on the quality from there? Refurbished goods arent always top notch

I personally havent got a refurb, but i know of several people who have. And none of them have had any problems.

The general concensus is that most of the wheels that have been sent back as "defective" where from idiots that bought it, and then realized that it didnt work properly with the games they had, and they couldent get the 900 degree mode to work properly either (becuase as most idiots are, they dont read the manual), so instead of admit their stupidity, and the fact they are an idiot, they take it back, becuase its "defective" and "doesnt work right", for a full refund, and from there it gets RMA'd to Logitech, who look at them, note they are obviously in perfect working order, and put them back out to market.

I don’t have GT4 and I don’t think it’s faulty… Since that’s what I thought before I went back and replaced it with another one new… Still same problem.

Anyone got an idea????
Logitech CS couldn’t help at all…

I think it depends on what you're doing with the Select button as to whether it'll work or not. I can't turn off the Ghost in GT3 with it, but I can switch to 900 easily enough. So I think the button itself works, it's just not recognized by the game for some reason. But since the Select button is the least-used button on the controller (for ANY game), it's not a great loss.

You didn't remap any of those buttons, did you? Move R3 to something else? I'm also not sure if it'll work in mid-race.. try it on the menus. Or try it on a different game. Do you have any games that support 900? (TOCA2, NFSU2, any GT4 demo)

While I'm on the subject, GT3 does NOT support 900.. you're not missing much by not using it.

I ordered mine from ICT, it came qquickly in the retail box, it works great, and it has a 90 day warranty. I love it so far, except it occasionally goes null during a race, forcing me to unplug and replug it (like a bunch of other ones it seems).
Anyways, here's pics of my setup.
http://sserv86.sytes.net/schoolstuff
The seat is a recarro from an old 3 series BMW, and the entire setup only cost me 90 dollars with the wheel; minus the cost of the A/V stuff since I already had that.

ok, my question is am I really going to need a setup as robust as vectors? (above pics ^)
I am seriously considering ordering from ICT even though I dont have GT4 and wont until the US release, because thats a heck of a price, and I sorta doubt they will get more in stock. Not the kind of company that gets a steady supply of product.

Anyhow, would something like a TV table even work, or would I have to build a frame for it?

Got a problem with the accelerate pedal yesterday.
It's like when I step on it, it has no response, but after 1 or 2 sec. it has response...same thing happen when I release the pedal.

Anyone know how to fix it, like.....something get lose inside the pedal box after certain period of time.

Yes, from the HUD of GT4, there's sometime I can't fully accel (only reach 60%) but suddenly....jumps to 100%, so I am sure it's definitely there're contact problem with the pedal and the sensor.

this is a known issue, happens to ALL the pedals of the DFP after some minor wear, there's a permanent fix for it, and no it's not a contact problem, do a search, mods should sticky the issue.

Since I can´t post a New thread here it goes:

What about the speedster 3 (Oficcial steering wheel)? 💡 💡 💡

So maybe this was obvious to eveyone but me that bought a DFP, but I just discovered that the clamps have two removable feet on them, that allows you to clamp the wheel to much thicker tables, just thought I'd post that in case anyone else didn't notice.

I doubt it's that thick.. you get about four inches, maybe more. The only reason it doesn't work on my table is because there's a big support beam about a half-inch under it, so my table doesn't really have a "lip" to attach it to. Which is why I ordered a stand.

Brioso: Yes, you can start a new thread, they're just moderated is all. As for that wheel, how does it compare to the DFP? Does it have force feedback? 900 degrees of steering? Seems to be missing the sequential shifter...

4 inches?

Without grinding down the plastic on the DFP legs youll be lucky to get it over 1.5 inches. My table is just over 1 inch and it fits fine, after winding it out it got almost another half inch out of it.

RIP Darin :( Kinda interesting how the guy who started this thread was banned a while ago. He butted heads with me and a couple (hundred?) other members a few times, i guess he just got on the bad site of the wrong people.

Anyways.. uh...
Has anyone here done some drifting in the Asian version of GT4? how close are your movements and the reaction of the wheel to real life? Say.. with Nomura Ken's D1spec R34, or another car of your choice.

Here you go, just because I'm that nice of a guy (and perhaps because I have a ruler right next to me):
With blocks: 3.1 cm clearance
Without blocks: 5.2 cm clearance

Lol I didnt even realise you could take those blocks off intill now.

Got the wheel the other day, Love how its all put together. So far only used it with the PC because the TV i use for the PS2 is downstairs in a box due to a move of house. But with the PC especially Richard Burns Rally its amazing, also with F1C around the Nordscheilfe ring. Going to use it withe GT4P this weekend. So far its amazing, love having the shifter at the side. My old Ferrari F1 Thrustmasters wheel went straight back into the box.

lol, yeah, I can't get them off myself, but I just measured it from where they are attached.

I will say that they are a pain in the arse to get off, as I can vouch for that myself first-hand! LOL!

You almost have to use a up/forward type of motion as you're pulling on them for them to come off..

Well, I was about to try out my brand new DFP, and I can't get _anything_ out of it.
Just back from the US (live in Belgium, Europe), and my girlfriend got me one for New Years's :-D. Brought it back home, attached it to my PsTwo, and lo and behold it remains silent (trying GT3). I do get the LEDs burning (left one is flashing, right one is on). No key on the thing will give any sign of life
I am using a transformer to transform the power from 110 to 220V.
Are there regional limitations to this thing? Are there maybe incompatibilities with the PsTwo?

I was so anxious to try this thing out, and now it won't wake up :-( Am I doing something wrong maybe?
Thx!

i finally put my dfp to use. i bought colin mcrae rally 2005 on the pc and it works great with it. no bugs to report from me. i can't use 900* on this game though. i'm not quick enough to make so many turns. now i'm just waiting for the u.s. release of gt4.

This happens when there's no power from the power supply. It seems your 110V transformer is not working as you expect; check it with a voltimeter. Maybe you can get an european power supply for your wheel to fix it, instead of a new voltage converter if it's not working.

If you live not too far from Houthalen, you are welcome at my place to try out your DFP with my power supply.
It is the same supply as the Momo Force, and probably as other steering wheels. If the problem lies with the supply, you could try then to buy a used one from an older type of wheel.
PM me if you are interested.

Does anyone know if the plain Driving Force Wheel is supported by GT4? I don't have the money for the Pro, but I've found some nice deals on the plain DF.
