...seen that... though the other guy mentioned something that he bought it for 79 EUR and NOT 99 EUR as on the www.gamechopper.de ...and that was what I wanted to know as it's like 20% less...
¨
...never mind though...

That´s right !

It was a Christmas Offer ! They forgot to change the prize in the Order form and i asked for the right price. Because i told them about the error they sold it to me for 79,- Euro and now they changed it again :-)

Maybe if more people in this forum would be interested they would lower it again !?!?!?!?

Bump for Mastasidaz's post asking about wheel rotation.

Can the wheel be set to 180 deg mode always? I don't want to use such as high rotation like 900 degrees.

Thanks,

Yes, it can, but... WHY? You might as well race with the DS2 if you think that you need the steering assists.

I've been through this several times before.. just because you have 900 degrees of rotation does not mean you have to turn the wheel 450 degrees to get around a corner. Have you even driven a game with 900 steering to see how it actually behaves? I get the sinking feeling that the people who are saying this have never actually used 900 and have no concept of how it drives.

Well you might as well not bother buying one, save your self a few quid and get the Old GT force.

P.S you'll never know what your missing.

Woo! I'm now a proud owner of the Driving Force Pro. Its great, but the 900 degree steering is going to take ALOT of getting used to.

Do you have GT4 or Prologue?

If not leave learning 900 degrees till you do.
Because using 900 degree mode, in GT3 is nothing like it, and will leave you feeling like its cr@p, and to hard to bother with.

Congrats on the Purchase 👍

Exactly... until you use it on a game that fully supports 900 mode, you have no basis for comparison. Drive with it before making that judgement.

In fact, if you really wanted to compare it to something, the closest thing to the DFP's 900 steering would be the 1080 steering that my car has. My real car.

Quick question, if a game is not listed on the compatible games list on the front page, does that mean it doesn't work for the game at all? Because I am a fan of Burnout 3 as well as GT, and it's not on the list...if I got a DFP, I'd like to play both with it...

I believe Burnout 3 is compatible, but not recommended. Even EA admits that the control style (which is super-arcadey), is far more suitable for the DS2 than it is for a wheel.

Big-Guy - I don't think anyone knows the answer to that question. All you can do is try. Most peripherals are region-free, but there's really no way to tell until you hook it up.

I always play Burnout 3 with my DFP. But I put it on 200 degree mode instead of 900. I think it is way better than a controller.

I live in the US and I have Japanese ps2, if I get the logitech driving force pro from US dealer will it work with the Japanese ps2
Yeah it should work fine... i bought mine in North America and it works on this PAL ps2. So i guess its the same even for a Japanese version.

Hi !

My DFP is making a hell of sound when turning. This seems normal, but I think if I open it, and grease it wheel, I may disappear. Has someone in here ever tried it ?

Thanks !

Anyone know how i can make that driving force pro run in a xbox game¿? because the xbox doesn't have ****ing usb. Anyone, know if exist a converter¿?

The man who can best respond that question is Werner Winkels. As he does AFAIK not too often visit this thread, the best way is to send him a PM.

xbox is USB on it's controller ports, so yes, a converter would allow you to plug it in.. not that it would do any good, because the wheel would have to be supported by games and you can bet it's not and will not ever be supported.

yeah, why would you want to play burn out 3 with a steering wheel? you don't ever need to brake.. or even steer -_-;

I’ve must been doing something wrong…

Just got the wheel: SELECT button doesn’t work…
Can't toggle the ghost; and,
Can't switch to 900’

Please help, TU,

I don’t have GT4 and I don’t think it’s faulty… Since that’s what I thought before I went back and replaced it with another one new… Still same problem.

i dunno.. something aint right... select+r3+right paddle works for me... Does it work for PC games like Live for Speed and Richard Burns Rally???

try using it on a different PS2 - maybe that is your problem. Otherwise, you can try mapping different buttons to do different things, but I don't think you can map the select button to do anything. Holding select+R3+paddle shift always works for me.

what are the top 3 games you play using the DFP in over 200 degree mode?
Mine are
Live For Speed (Full 900 mode and 720)
Richard Burns Rally (540)
Pro Race Driver 2 Demo (Full 900) :( cant fine full game in stores.

I'm getting NFS Underground 2, and i'll probably play that with 360. But.. GT4 should be out soon :nervous: :nervous:

I can't believe I just figured out that you can use 900 degree mode in GT3 three months after playing the game with the DFP. I am an idiot. Anyway, thanks to all that posted on the subject. And yes, the 900 degree mode does make the game alot more realistic to play, coming out of drifts is much more precise as is counter-steering in general.
