It's cool Ikari.

But yeah, good to see I have the RevB00 version.

To the guy contemplating it, don't think, get it.

It really is a whole new game.

I sit down and start driving sometimes and before I realise it I've blown an hour just lapping the Nurburgring in my Ginetta, or Ruf, or Lotus...whatever...

holly crap i got it, serveral hours ago mind you but i was having such a blast i couldent pull myself away from it. For the first time i could actualy drive nur and man was it sweet having control of that F1 car i always sucked with the ps2 controler in racing game's i was better with the xbox because of the triggers but like i said i was smoking around the place and i finaly had total control of my red f1 car i think its time to go to Monaco!

i dont even have power assist on, but honestly i didnt really notice a difference with it off or on... then again i havent played gt4 much lately. I got faster but that could be just from practice.

Chalk up another dead pedal DFP, 92% game 1 (A/B spec) 15% game 2 (A spec)

Hlf way through the Nur 1000 in the Elan with a handy lead of 6 minutes and the car develops a "misfire". Cute on Logitech

So I grab the hand controller and try and use it's throttle....man have you ever tried to drive one handed at the ring? POS!!!

This isn't the first Logitech to fail me, my Blue DFP carked it after game 4 on GT3, and this one barely got to 100%

It's the plastic pot version A, but I cn't find the damn receipt  :scared:

As for pulling it apart, the only tools I can use are a 1lb sledge hammer  :indiff: :ouch:

I knew it'd happen I was just waiting for when it would happen

Here's to the master fark ups at Logicrap well done boys 👎 👎 👎

I have a problem with my logitech driving force pro wheel...

I play GT4 and the wheels starts up as usuall. When its done calibrating it doesnt work. The top 2 green lights keep blink either at the same time or after each other. And to that the wheel has no force when i turn it( turns loosly). The the controls only work but not the wheel or the pedal..... It works pefectly with GT3 but WTH. It doesnt work with GT4 and its made for GT4?!...Ive also tried reconnecting everything and unplug and plug back the usb but still does the same thing as I mentioned above....

can someone please be kind enough to help me with this problem. Thanks.

My wheel is even worse now. It makes several loud clicking noises when rotating from left lock to centre, and when rotating from centre to right with high friction it feels extremely notchy and grindy (as bad as the Driving Force), but when turning from centre to left under the same friction it is smooth.

I'm starting to think Logitech really f$#!%d up on this piece of hardware. I'll persist to fix the thing myself until it performs as I want it to, but only cause there's nothing else on the market that uses 900 degrees and has FF.

For $300 they sure managed to manufacture some low-grade equipment.

whoa you got it for 300?! thats freakin twice the regular price... I also got a problem myself... The wheel wont cooperate. It just doesnt work. :indiff:

Can somebody in the UK, please tell me where I can find a DFP??? I have had one on order from Gameplay for 3 weeks now!!! I want to know if anyone knows of anyone who has them IN STOCK !?!?!?

Thanks in advance!

I wondered about this for a while..

When my DFP calibrates, it turns all the way to the right, and then goes to the left. But it doesn't go all the way to the left, it stops where it still has 45 degrees to go.

Anyone know about this?

Folks...whats the LATEST PC drivers version of the DFP software??........and does the DFP support 900 degrees turning on the PC?

* Should be version 4.60 (Same drivers as the Momo Racing drivers I'm told)
and
* Yes

$300au = $227us, which is still a ripoff, but thats what Logitech have set the RRP at here ($100au import cost my ass, Logitech, MY ASS!).

I have to say, Resource, your DFP sounds completely $%^&@#, I would make a warranty claim on it if I were you (since you are probably in the US it will be a piece of cake getting a replacement). Strange how it works for GT3 though. This might mean it is a problem with 900 degrees mode as that's what GT4 calibrates itself to.

There are two USB ports on the front of your PS2. Others have had similar problems because they don't have the DFP hooked up to the most left-hand USB port (depending on the model of the PS2). Have you verified if you have the DFP connected to the correct port?

cruiser789, Use you own words, don't cut and paste mine in as you have done here from my post on the page before you, post 2032. BE original yourself.

EB  :indiff: has a disgusting policy of demanding a deposit for warranty repair of the item if you wish to persevere with the problems while you wait because logitec can no longer supply a stock of the item. Too many must have broken down! :banghead:

Just checking. How many do have this wheel working normal?

I have, but it is pretty disconcerting to know this.

Also, I dled that program from Logitech, but it acts like it is configured for the normal Logitech Force Feedback, not the DFP. There is no option to map the shifter.

Okay everyone. I am in great need of assistance. I recently purchased a DFP from Yahoo Auctions here in Japan. As far as I have been told this thing is supposed to work. I didn't get an instruction manual (if i did it would have been in japanese anyways) I plug it into the USB on the left and turn on the PS2. The green light on the left is blinking and the green light on the right is on. It doesn't respond to any buttons I push and I can't get it to work at all for the game. Is there something I need to do in the options of the game or something along those lines? I have the Japanese version so it is all unreadable to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to think I just threw my money away.

In summary; HELP!

Try this:

turn on PS2 and load GT4.
Connect the DFP, everything except the usb connection to the PS2.
Now connect the USB lead to the PS2. At this point the DFP should turn from lock to lock, centre itself and turn on both LED's

By saying the left socket, I take it you have the slimline. On the old PS2, it has to be the top socket....

hope that helps

question, i got a dfp when gt4 came out, when i use the steering wheel it sounds loud, like with every turn i make it makes a rubbing sound, is this normal? Or is it suppose to be silent and then just make noise when it rumbels?

I had this same problem the other day after moving my stuff to another room. I couldn't figure out for the life of my why nothing was working. After about 15 minutes I realized that the power cord wasnt pluged in far enough. If it's just barely in there it wont work. Make sure its in all the way. I hope this helps!

Since, I'm not getting much help else where, I thought, might as well bring it here.

Well since this may have to with the DFP, I'm having a problem with my brake pedal.

See, after a while of playing GT4 with it, after a sudden brake, the brake bar on the HUD indicates that the brake is downa tad bit. The bar is filled about 1/8th of the full bar with red. Well, it slows down the car acceleration of course, but it also does something else. If I shift down into 1st and let the needle hit zero, the car will act like its in a Neutral gear. It won't move even the slightest bit even with the brake bar just a tad bit full.

The only way to fix this is to restart the PS2, but even afterwards, I can't go 5 minutes without it acting up. It doesn't do anything on the Menus, but when I switch to another car, in about 10 seconds or until I brake, it comes back.

Help, please!
