Okay guys, I read through all of these pages, and it turns out I could be a decent contender if I brought my camera everywhere. It's just such a huge PITA because it's so damned big.

Although with the snow falling, I won't be seeing any of the fast category cars, I still think I can hold my weight with everything else. I'm in this week. Hoping to see a T-Rex to win that exotic car category.

I like this week's categories. I haven't been participating because I didn't really care for the last few week's categories. I'll see what I can do with this one.

Might have a look at Famine's latest entries.

Fingers crossed!

And just for clarification, quickest is acceleration and fastest is top speed, right?

Oh damn, I forgot to submit my entry yesterday. It doesn't matter now anyway, as the BMW I found was beaten by Famine's anyway.

My entries for the current week won't be posted, since... They're all beaten anyway. No Porsche, and my newest Audi was a '90s Audi 80. Slowest Beemer was a mere 323i (newest-gen), or an un-identified (highway) BMW 3-series from the last generations. Fastest Mercedes was an E350.

Hmmf. Categories 1, 2 and 4 are out of my range. :grumpy:

3. Fastest car not from the USA, Japan, Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Australia the UK or the Czech Republic (and when I say "from", I mean the traditional nationality associated with the manufacturer, all other concerns aside). Best of luck.

So, where else to they build cars?

Bonus - Audi Q7 (1 point only)

At least I can score this one for sure.

Alright, so I don't forget again, I'll post my current entry now...

5-cylinder car
A well-earnt picture of Ford Focus ST with a crazily fast driver - after full acceleration to 110mph to only just (very surprisingly!) keep up with the bloody thing to take a picture.

New categories:
1. Quickest Ford.
2. Oldest Toyota.
3. Fastest car not from the USA, Japan, Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Australia the UK or the Czech Republic (and when I say "from", I mean the traditional nationality associated with the manufacturer, all other concerns aside). Best of luck.
4. 5-cylinder cars - 1 mark per car, most marks gets the point.
Bonus - Audi Q7 (1 point only)

Looks good, Famine. I know I've got at least one entry, although category #3 stumps me.

I'm honestly not sure what they'd be...

Seat? (Spain)
Crosslander? (Romania)
Tata? (India)
Yugo? (former Yugoslavia)

We only received one of those in the United States, so this one may be a bit more difficult. That is, unless we're counting where the car was actually built, then it may be a bit more easy for some of us. Well, probably for Americans at least...

Wholly correct - it's actually quite a common distinction amongst motoring journos/enthusiasts, oddly.

There's two countries I've left off my list who produce very many cars for Europe and North America - some of which are also #4 eligible. But there's also a far Eastern country not yet mentioned (think: Lotus). I figured it'd be a fun workout :D

Yeah, and the fastest one of them would be on a trailer getting towed by a Cayenne...

Saab 99 Turbo and as far as I know it can reach 115Mph+, although I'll probably find a faster Seat before the deadline..

The speeds reads to 240km/h so I think we should just go with that :sly:

Date taken 25/11/2007 and is therefore not eligible.

And you are aware of that rule now.

Well considering the car belongs to my parents (due to the colour it isn't driven much) I could easily get another photo, but sicne I found this today I don't need to.

Saab 95.

Black VW Rabbit 2.5

Beige GMC Canyon, which has a 3.5L I-5

edit - the silver Volvo XC90 is also an I-5. Thanks Diego!

How am I supposed to tell, from that shot, that it's a 5-cylinder engine? Or the Canyon, for that matter - which can also have a 4-cylinder engine. There looks to be some badging on the back at least, but I can't make it out...
