Other than the GTI, there is no other option in the NA market.

Excellent. :D

We need as complete entries as possible, folks. Just the pictures aren't good enough. If you're Scavenger Hunting, try to do all of the geek-work yourself too to make your entry perfect.

Famine - scratch my Volvo. There is no way it can be confirmed to be a 2.5T.

For the Colorado, the 4-door was only available with the I-5. Sorry, should've been clear.

That and no one in their right mind would buy an I4 Colorado.

For a bonus point (From yesterday)...

And an older Toyota 'Sprinter Trueno GTZ (AE101)' circa 1992, with the supercharged 4AGZE engine...

Kicking myself on the 1st gen. MR-2 (old Toyota) and the Hummer H3 (Inline-5) that I saw too early on Friday evening.

Judgement on last week:

Quickest Mercedes - Joey D
Slowest BMW - Famine
Oldest Audi - Gashlycrumb
Cheapest Porsche - Gashlycrumb
Bonus - Joey D, Gashlycrumb

Amusingly, last week's results give the three category winners a tie for 2nd place overall (Famine 22 + 1, Joey D 21 + 2, GashlyCrumb 20 + 3)

If I don't know what engine it is, I would, personally, always assume it's the lowest-specification model sold in that particular country. At best, an average of the lowest-3 specs.

GM
Since I had no way of telling what engine this car has, I made an average top speed by adding the top speed from each engine (six) and divided it.

I came out with 140.8 Mph but if you find this unfair then disqualify me.

Agreed - though I'd assume it to be, unless otherwise proven, not the spec required for the category. In this case, the slowest possible spec. As indeed I did to myself a few weeks back when I realised I couldn't prove the Z3 I'd snapped was a 6-pot from the shot I'd taken.

If you see it again TAKE A PHOTO OF THE PLATE. We can run the spec off from that.

Unified post:

14 five-pot cars
1984 Toyota

If you could unify it all in a single post, that'd be good.

Wait, I thought once you got a picture of a certain vehicle with an engine you couldn't continue getting the same vehicle. I mean if you want I can seriously post up the 50 different Colorados an Canyons I see daily.

I just want pics of 5-cylinder cars. So long as it isn't the exact same individual car I have no problem. Most 5-pots wins the point.

Famine - just curious - did you forget to add Sweden to the list of banned countries for 'fastest car' this week, or did you knowingly leave it off?

I was driving around looking for a Bricklin SV-1 or a Yugo and suddenly it hit me that you'd forgotten Sweden... now I'm on S60R/V70R patrol.

That's why we've got 2 Saabs and a Volvo in the thread already.

And also why I said...
Doug had one, and hates the other.

Very much on purpose - along with Spain and Malaysia. I was hoping to get people posting Proton Satrias and SEAT Ibizas.

If anyone spots a Sbarro Monster G I will close this thread.

They do. But I always wondered why a car company made pizza, and not the other way around.
