Hey lazjet,
How high (on average since I know that the wheel is height adjustable to some degree) would you say a TV screen has to be from the ground, to allow for comfortable viewing with the Obutto?
I'm talking about the actual, viewable TV "screen" and not the TV "frame" as this is usually different depending on the type of TV. In other words, the glass bit.
I am thinking of getting an Obutto, removing the monitor stand attachment and instead using my TV as the display, exactly as you have done in your picture.
From your picture it looks as though you have your TV sitting on another object in addition to it already sitting on top of your TV cabinet. Either that (hard to tell) or it is mounted to your wall?
I am wondering if this was the same home theatre configuration/setup that you already had prior to getting your cockpit, or if perhaps it is the result of adjustments you had to make in order to accommodate the Obutto's large size (height).
It would be much appreciated if anyone who owns one of these could give me their opinion on the minimum distance from the floor, to the bottom of the TV screen that they would allow for in the same configuration as the one I am describing (ie. if yours was also setup just as in lazjets picture above).
I am also interested to hear about peoples experiences in both using and mounting a Fanatec GT3 RS wheel, shifter and Clubsport pedals with/to the Obutto. Judging from most of the pictures I've seen it looks like most people are choose to use a Logitech wheel with this cockpit.
One other thing that I am interested in finding out about is whether the new, larger, tabletop add-on for this cockpit works well with a wheel/racing configuration etc. Is it more or less flimsy than the standard stock? It looks as though it was made so that the Obutto can also be used as a FPS gaming frame, but I suspect that having the extra table space could be useful if it still allows for a wheel to be mounted/used.
