The Obutto oZone...

I like the Playseat because it has seat sliders and folds a bit, but it's way too expensive for what it is. I'll also wait for the Obutto. I really want to reverse-mount the pedals but I'm not handy enough to find a way to mount them after I do that.

The Obutto is suppose to have a seat slider too.

As far as reverse mounting the pedals, there is a guy on here (forgot his name, but he has a couple videos on youtube showing how he done it) that has done it, and his way seems very simple. He basically had 4 of these http://www.lowes.com/pd_301968-3359...mp&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?Ntt=clamp&page=9, clamped those to the frame in front of the wheel, where you want the pedals, bolt a piece of wood to the clamps onto the threaded holes, and then bolt your pedals to the wood that you mounted to the frame.

I just ordered mine. No damaged or old stock in the US, so I had to order a brand new one. They also seem to be more expensive than the old version.

$425 shipped in the US. The only problem is they're not in stock yet. The e-mail I got said they'd be here by November 15th, but possibly earlier. The manufacturing is done and they're being packaged now. I'm really hoping I get it before the 2nd, but I doubt it. Looks like my first couple weeks will be without a cockpit. I'll rig something up on a table I guess.

I'll be ordering a G27 shortly for use. It's gonna be awesome. Wish I had ordered earlier though so it'd be here in time.

WOW the Obutto cockpit I ordered last week must have been the last one they had. I ordered it Tuesday and received it Friday(WA->CA) that is some super fast shipping and handling on there part!! too bad fanatec can't be like them, which they took a whole week to just to tell me that they will be shipping my wheel....👎

Anyways, I'm very impress with the obutto cockpit!! For the price, the quality is top notch!!

Hi guys, im looking at the obutto cockpit as well and got a fanatec gt3 rs on the way with clubsport pedals, but was wondering will the fanatec pedals fit on the obutto pedal bit?

And does anyone know if the shifter mount of the obutto can go on the LEFT hand side of the cockpit setup? Me being from the uk and all lol

yes you can mount the shifter on either side.

I could have answered your question about the fanatec gt3rs too but fanatec(endor) took there sweet a** time shipping my wheel...

Yes to both.

I switch my shifter over to drive British and Japanese cars.

And the "footwell" of the Obutto is such that I can't imagine any pedal set NOT fitting there. Any pedals that wouldn't fit there would probably be a real hassle to use, because they'd be spaced too far apart!

I find they reply quickly..when taking my money, but when it came to answering when exactly were they gonna ship they ignored the question completely! maybe im being abit too impatient for the wheel!

Thats good to know that they'll fit nicely...

Hi everyone, I bought a G27 and oButto ozone about a month ago and the pedals have been sliding around too much even on the rubber grip.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to invert my pedals onto the frame but keeping it clean. Instead of putting a piece of wood to hold the pedals I was thinking of putting 2 steel bars to mount the pedals on to.

All i need to know is what size hole to drill and where on the frame I should mount the inverted pedals to get it feeling like a real car 👍. Any help appreciated!!

Hey Shadow, this is Chris from OBUTTO. Just wondering if you put your carpet teeth in the down position on your pedals. Without the carpet teeth down the pedals will def move, but they should be fine if you use the teeth. Alternatively, you can hard mount the pedals to the pedal tray. There are templates available online so just print it out, tape it on there, drill the holes, and run some bolts through.

Hope this helps ;)

Mine arrived this morning.
Just 1 concern, whats the biggest screen you guys have fitted, as I have a 32inch lcd which fits the bracket but just need the screws.
cheers

I'm using a 32 inch LCD. The bracket that it comes with won't allow to mount 32inches because most 32" LCD have a pattern 200mm x 200mm , and the mount it comes with is 200mm x 100mm.

I used an adapter and it with worked perfectly.

Hey, yep I used the carpet teeth and it still moved! My pedal tray rubber grip is all worn out and the sides of the pedal casing are scratched from rubbing on the pedal tray support bar bolts. I noticed when I first put the pedals on that the pedals didn't sit flat on the tray, it was a bit too wobbly. Any way I could get a replacement'?:sly:

But anyways I have a engineer coming on monday, he says he can help me mount the pedals (inverted). YUSS!! Would you have any tips how high up the frame I should mount them? I might get 2 positions drilled for adjustments.

OBUTTO arrived on time yesterday. Very very rigid. My 32 inch philips lcd bolted right to the stand, which is nice. The only issue i have is with table. It cannot be adjusted in height and spin. Mayy i suggest two pieces of bar 1 inch long. to drop in the mount givimg variable height with lateral movement.

lovin the rig though, excellent value for money.

my G27 arrived today.

Now just a long, hard wait until I get the oZone. Hopefully it'll ship earlier than the November 15th date on their website currently.

edit: damn, just read that GT5 was delayed. I guess I'll probably have the cockpit all set up before I get GT5. I hate to say it, but I'm actually a little happy at this. I'll get to play for the very first time, with the full cockpit and everything.

My G27 pedals are currently getting mounted onto my obutto ozone frame (inverted) and should be back by tomorrow :). I'll upload some pics to share with you guys.

anybody inverted the clubsport pedals on the obutto?

Ive seen g27 padels inverted not clubsport ones. it seem like the clubsport pedals needs to be mounted more vertically instead of an angle like the g27 pedals.

A number of people have. I myself googled it the other day to see examples.

It's an amazing tool, this "internet" with its crazy "search engines".

I'm getting it done by some engineers. $120 NZD

All you would have to do is mount your pedals to a board, and then drill some holes and mount the board to the Obutto frame. A few users here at GTP have done just that. Around $5.00 or less is all it takes.

;)

Well i'm not cheap and I actually want it to look good.

Drill, 2 pieces of steel tubing, a couple of nuts, a couple of bolts and a few washers, and you could probably have done exactly what your engineers are gonna do. Unless they're welding and re-powdercoating...

they are welding and re-powdercoating. Plus I don't have a drill, or any room to actually do the work on it. So I went to the best thing and am going to get a quote from them to do me a handbrake

Sweet! If you've got the money for it, that's the way to go for sure! 👍
Lookin' forward to seein' the finished product.

I decided to get it bolted instead of welding the support bars on as it will be more easier to move it when I decide to move houses.

It feels great and only cost me $100 NZD = $76 USD. Glad I got it done!

Sweet! That's almost exactly what I'm gonna end up doing eventually.

I think I'm also gonna put a support between the bottom tubing to set the floorplate on, so it's completely off the carpet, creating more of a floorboard.

👍 Looks good!

Obutto is shipping in the US next week. Arriving in US on the 7th of November.

I should have mine by the end of next week for sure. Now I just need GT5.

I can't wait. Hope it's not hard to set up. I'll have to find a steel bar and drill some holes to invert the pedals.
