You don't need to buy a $50 Cokin polarizing filter. A simple $20 "off brand" version found at Ritz Camera works just as well.

Yeah, I use my polariser a lot. It's a KOOD filter, and I think it was about £20 for the 58mm. Other than the 1As that I've been in the habit of using as lens protectors, it's the only filter I have.

I find it does some pleasing vignetting in the sky too.

It's been a while since I've come by here - I've been too busy to even sleep some days :(

Anyways, I took this one when the relatives gathered at my place after my brother's wedding reception. My cousin's kid fast asleep :)

not a picture that was suppose to be a good pic, just wanted to show you what I bought for my bike.. ^^

The British Touring Car Championship did one of its "meet the people" events today. Here's a pick of my pics.

Giles, the first pic is really nice! I love that Integra!

And skylineGTR_guy, wonderful pic!

Very nice shots everyone! 👍

I think i like AH's water shot the best, though.

Neocrox: Is that a Yamaha Clavinova in the background? Had to ask :P

Very nice shots, Giles. The Porsche shot is my favourite, even if the panning wasn't perfect. Good job. 👍

tabs: good to see some photography from you. Very nice. :)

skylineGTR_guy and ah: amazing shots as usual. 👍👍

EDIT:

Happily, I have spend some time with my camera these last few days. :D

I'm particulary curious to hear some opinions on #1 and #4. Not because they're my favourites, but because I can't decide if they're any good or not.

Just a couple of pictures I snapped in Niagara Falls last week. Not really artistic, but I like them anyways. I'm still learning how to use this camera, so they may not be to their full potential. :indiff:

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Personally, I like #1 more; I love the colors and the movement in the shot. Shot #5 is great, too. But they're ALL good. 👍

@DM > I think #4 is a very interesting shot
I have no idea how you get the same sky looks different between 2 windows
you inverted b&w on the sky, didn't you?

@SRV2LOW4ME > I'm surprise there is no water drops on your photos
and your camera survived after the boat trip ;)
you should take some night photos of the falls
I went there 2 weeks ago ... it was so beautiful

Two questions:

1. Can you make that photo a 1440x900 wallpaper for my monitor? If not, that's fine too. But that's one sweet photo. 👍

2. What camera do you use?

X2! Except, my res is 1400x1050.

Please and thank you!

And #2 doesn't really matter :)

He just wants to know what camera he used. Is that so bad?

Great pictures everyone. I think I need to go outside sometime soon and use this $1200 piece of equipment I've got laying around. :indiff:
