Cheers for the feedback guys, Basicly they are from my kit lens with a 13mm and 31mm extension tubes, but the only problem is that I have to be on top of the subject (no way am i going to be shooting bees or wasps with them :scared: ) those shots are of mushrooms that are about 4cm high and are about the same across the top and the lens is about 5mm from the subject, im laying on the floor with my chin in wet moss. The top one is of coral fungus that stands about 3 and 5 cm high, im quite pleased to find it.

I notice most of those shots were taken anywhere from 1/15s to 1/40s. Are you losing about a stop with the tubes? Also, Is vignetting very noticeable on full-frame shots? I don't see anything that jumps out in your photos, though I am guessing they are cropped a bit.

Thanks again. 👍

I don’t know anything about photography (I literally use the “Automatic” mode on my digicam), so I’m just going to post a few of my better shots and let you guys rip on ’em. :)

congrats antihere, you absolutely deserve that, its an incredible picture!👍

sprite,

the bokeh in those is superb indeed, they have a very unnusual look!
i especially like no 3.

just a snapshoot from my way home tonight:

That is freakin awesome (i'm from the country)

a few i've taken recently:

lthiele, I've fixed your image links. Use the ImageShack "Thumbnail for Forums" code.

Sage, you have to be a Flickr member to open the large images! Grr!

I agree with the consensus that sprite is taking some awesome shots with those tubes.

Here's one of mine from the weekend. I'll post more as soon as I've finished the PP.

Lovely picture, Giles 👍 - is that in Market Street or Waterloo Place by any chance?

Shot 1: was 1/25Sec @ F5.6 @ 45mm
Shot 2: was 1/40Sec @ F5.6 @ 52mm
Shot 3: was 1/15Sec @ F5.6 @ 55mm
Shot 4: was 1/200Sec @ F4.5 @ 35mm
Shot 5: was 1/200Sec @ F5.6 @ 55mm

Yes I loose about 1 stop, and no I did no cropping, these are as shots apart from re-size from 3888 x 2592 to 1024 x 686 but no cropping in, I did however crop some wasted space from the side of shots 1 & 5 but those shots a full frame shots as you can see here

Nice shot GG, I like the colours very happy and fun, I saw a ferris wheel shot earlier this week, but unfortunatly I cant find it again :( If I do I will point you in the rite direction, but this shot sort of reminded me of it.

Some car shots i was messing about with. Camera set to full auto for a change, i had to hold the flash down myself so it didn't go off.

The lighting on the AC cobra is perfect 👍
why not some artistic shots for the F360?

I wondered that myself when i was uploading the photos. I just sort of walked past it on the way to my car and didn't even think about it. I'd have loved to have gotten some artistic shots of it, if only i could go back in time!:indiff:

Nice technique, sprite, and great composition on that night shot, Giles. 👍

Just now I realized I haven't shared this one here before:

dang that a crazy shot DM, I wanna hear the story behind it to!

remember a picture is worth a thousand words, so I expect a full report, typed double spaced, 12pt times new roman font. ;)

This is a single photo of the sea, using only a camera.
No photoshop or other programs were used( I say that because it seems fake)

Oh and DM, tell us about your photo!

Ha, I'm in the best motoring!

so I'm watching the new best motoring video, they have a feature on GT Live, so I'm watching it and I see myself in the video taking pictures lol at 1:06:27, when the RX8 is passing the mini, that blur is me lol, its funny cause when i look at the picture i took at that moment I can see the camera inside the car pointing at me. I've had my .5 seconds of fame =)

Oh, so that’s why nobody’s commenting! Here they are Imageshacked:

Those are some nice pics Sage. I would suggest that with the skyline shots you go into PS and try to drag out some detail in the ground areas: they're something of a black morass at the minute. Love the bird feeder shots.

moglet, forgot to say i like those shots. nice to see something fresh in the automotive field.

some more artsy shots from yours truly

Thanks! I love that broken window photo, it's really eerie..

I presented some of my photos for a book that was to be published today. I get a double page spread for my work, which is cool. The photos got a great reception from a lot of people, someone said the Cobra shot looked like a stock photo i'd taken off the net! Cheeky. A lot of people liked my older shots of the seagull sat on the edge of the boat, too.

I'll post the page layouts on here once they're done 👍

Here is a photo of an island in Greece. I have some more beautiful photos though...
It is similar to Just Cause:)

Hey guys, haven't been on this thread for a bit. Think it's about time I put up some more pics. :)

First off is back from summer whilst in Milton Keyens skating:

Then the next thre are from various firework displays, the first was a 3 second shutter if I remember correctly, second was also 3 secs with the third 2 secs:

Comments appreciated.
:)

Good point. I can fix two of them, but it isn’t possible to pull anything out of the UCSD shot – it quite literally is black. I thought it looked kinda cool, anyway. ;)

Love the bird feeder shots.

Yeah, took a while to get those – had to stand really still for a long time (I was literally standing a couple feet away from that hummingbird).
