A couple more from me, nothing special. Taken at The Yorkshire Sculpture park it was really windy and the tripod kept been blown over so I had to resort to handholding the camera 99% of the time, and taking shots on a twitchy 300m zoom lens isnt the best this to be doing... Ahh well here you go.

@ skylineGTR_guy nice pics buddy. 👍

[edit]

another goose.

thanks sprite :) I just did another one yesterday, should be up soon.

What was that first shot of? It looks pretty cool!

Its actually a mushroom, but its just been cropped in to 100% and then inverted to get the nice colours, but the actual shot itself isnt that impressive. Cant wait to see the new pics 👍 whish I had the bottle to ask the girls from work to pose but I dont want a black eye :D

[edit]

Me in action, this was taken by a friend (the one in the second pic in my other post) with his Nikon D50

here is my newest and favorite one so far!

lol @ sprite, its funny you should say that, when I lived in az, I had the hardest time finding anyone that either I could ask to, or would want to do it, its weird. Then I moved to cali, and It all started out with my friend asking me If I would do a shoot with her, from then on it snowballed and everyone is asking me to do them its nice but now I'm starting to dig myself into a hole because I have like 8 more coming up. Oh well once I get a decent portfolio I can start charging haha.

If you tilt your head a little, it looks like they're... well... isn't this a family website?

Wow, i really like the way you take those portrait shots like that. I've been trying to do something like that myself but so far nobody has wanted to do it. Not that there is anywhere around here that would be worth shooting anyway 👎

yeah, well this is california, everyone loves the camera I suppose, which is good for me. It really sucks cause I know what its like to not have anyone willing/worth shooting :(

My worst case is ...
my friends even not letting me shooting their feet or hands for artistic purpose
they must have mental illness :(

So many favorites in the series that I can't decide on any one over another; they all have a certain unique quality about them. Job well done. 👍

Thanks :) I had a hard time picking which ones to include in the gallery, this was by far one of my favorite shoots :)

Wow Moglet, not only do you impress me in the GT4 sections, even here, your work is top-notch 👍

Very nice laptop indeed
I wish my imac keyboard has those fancy light as well

:D I went christmas shopping today with my father at Henry's. I got a Nikon 50mm 1.8, circular polarizer, and some other stuff. I'll make a post come the big birthday party, but I gave the 50mm a go and it's an awesome lens.

you too huh? I got rearended last sunday, estimate was 900, received cash took it to a buddy and got a new bumper, labor and paint for 250 leaving me with 650 cash plus the money in my paypal account, it was burning a hole in my pocket so I bought a canon 70-200 F4L and a 28-135 F3.5-5.6 IS since I cant be bothered to wait for santa

now all i need is a gear bag, new flash, and that 12-24

Totally forgot about photography stuff for Christmas! :scared:
I was hoping to get a graduated neutral density filter and a star filter, aswell as a Cokin adapter and a few filters for that.

By the way does anybody know anything about these magnifying filters you can get? I've been looking at a 10x magnifier because my lenses aren't that great when you get near to something and just want something that would help a bit but have never tried using one before!

Managed to get my Hoya Infrared filter on friday, but had hardley any opertunity to snap away with it. But here is a festive pic for all you GTP'ers.

Moglet, instead of the star filter you could always try a longer exposure, it should still give you the same flare. Here is an example, this was at a 10 second exposure:

sprite, in that case you can either increase the light, or set it on a tripod and increase the exposure time to allow it to gather more light :)

Yeh I did ,but as you said in that post you get a star halo coming from the lights, which I didnt want, I supose I could have upped the exposure via the RAW conversion, but It didnt look right.

Ooh, we talking Santa-delivered photo stuff? I'm getting a Manfrotto 190PRO leg set (with the detachable/horizontally-mountable centre column) and the 388RC2 3-way pan/tilt head. I'm also getting a WACOM Graphire A5 tablet. I'm stoked.

Hopefully I'll get some good cash and pick up a 580EX after the new year.

Antihero: Is that your first prime? Is the Nikon 50/1.8 cheap like the Canon?
