I'll just leave this here.I always thought that version of The Star Spangled Banner was a protest against the Vietnam war. There are loads of glissandos that sound like simulations of bombs being dropped. If I remember rightly, Jimi used his left (strumming) hand to reach across and do the slide along the neck. It's probably more than 20 years since I've seen it though.

I actually like his playing of the National Anthem. How dare he disrespect our country like that!! He's just showing how much he hates our flag and all of military heroes that fought for this country by butchering our great national anthem.
Who ever heard of playing our great anthem like that?!?! All of that distortion and feedback, what a shame!! And to use a wah pedal and tremolo?!?! The shame of it all!! OMG He's playing that guitar with his teeth!! What a disgrace!!
And why is that guy sitting down behind those drums? You should always be standing when our great anthem is played!! And look at all of those people out in the crowd not holding their hands over their hearts like a proper respectful American should when our great anthem is played!!
What a revolting, disgusting, disrepectful performance of our great holy national anthem!! They should all be ashamed of themselves!!

If only Roseanne Barr had learnt how to play the guitar. How dare he disrespect our country like that!! He's just showing how much he hates our flag and all of military heroes that fought for this country by butchering our great national anthem.
Judging by the way the Reagan administration gleefully lapped this one up it appears the subversion was a success. Ronnie even declared his favourite Bruce song was Born To Run (for office, presumably) on The Tonight Show but even Johnny didn't believe him. Years later conservative columnist Brian Doherty would argue that the lyrics didn't matter anyway. On the subject of not-subversive-at-all patriotic hymns, I'd like to offer up 2 gems
You've got to love the depiction of England as a haggard nun...even if it's horrendously ironic given that the Catholic Church would have its own cord wrapped tightly around Ireland for nearly the rest of that century. After you with the scissors

Kind of telling that Marxism is the dead horse that someone is beating instead of being the beater of dead horses, since it seems to be all he can talk about and noone else on the thread or forum has even mentioned it.

Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork. As part of this commitment, we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues but ask that they refrain from workplace expressions, verbal or otherwise, in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party as well as other similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of equity issues.”
The only other major American-made tire brand for general use, is who? Cooper Tires? Unless they plan to throw some Hoosiers on Beast which would be pretty ****in sick, not gonna lie."I would swap them out, based on what I heard. We'll see what happens. You're going to have a lot of people not wanting to buy that product anymore, and they'll buy from a competitor, made in the USA," he said.
But I thought Trump opposed ‘cancel culture’ though? Makes me wonder if the anti-‘cancel culture’ folk are going to defend him despite the fact that the tweet encourages people to ‘cancel’ Goodyear. I hope the anti-cancel culture folk at least stick to their morals and continue buying or considering Goodyear for tires.

With a title like "How Internet Politics Look to Normal Humans," I thought that video might be poking a little fun at both sides. (Silly assumption, given your posting history, I know.)
Turns out, it's nothing of the sort. The "normal people" in that video are the same "normal people" that Chrunch is always yammering about.
