I had the completely opposite take on the videos I downloaded from Gamersyde. They were so sharp and crystal clear, and everything looked so real at full 1080P and 60FPS. I went back to GT and it looks more like a game.

I also think that it looks more real. Especially the color palette looks very realistic. Only some of the light effects need work (too much lens flare and the lightnings at night).

YEAH, that's the one, thanks!

I am really excited for PCARS. If it delivers, chances are I may never be going back to Forza. Not for a while at least. :D

^^ How do you ignore the bizarre engine sounds and repetitive tire screech effects?

Just wondering.
Needs must, unfortunately. I use rFactor but my laptop is pretty weak so frame rates become an issue. I'm over half way through my gaming PC build now though so as soon as it's done I can't see GT6 getting any attention. Can't wait to get in to Assetto Corsa and Project Cars, max the settings and enjoy..

If you've played Shift 2, you would remember how wildly the wheel use to auto-correct itself. I see that happening in this vid too. Only, the wheels are not going the opposite way as quickly every time he countersteers to keep the car straight. Could be due to the wet tarmac.

It looks too much like Shift 2's.

If you have played S2, you wouldn't have to guess now would you?

I gave Shift 2 about an hour before giving up, can you tell me what I'm meant to be looking for, specifically?

Ah. So you sayin' the same applies to Shift 2? Be it a wheel or controller?

I'm curious now.
Shift 2 had serious issues regarding the wheel input, and this was down to the direction EA wanted to take with regards to the handling model, and the way the FFB was canned or faked. With pCARS the FFB is linked to the steering rack and wheels, so if the car is over swinging, that would be down to the hardware, or maybe Rene Rass' style. I will say, the early Lotuses are not easy cars to drive with a pad or wheel. All I can suggest is, if you don't believe the opinions of people who play the game regularly, wait until the demo comes and try that.

Oh yeah, those ol'school Lotuses were tough beasts to tame for sure.

Thanks for your thoughts. It has nothing to do with belief or disbelief.

Feedback is always good coming from people who have experienced the game.

Doesn't matter. I need to experience the game for myself. I'm hopeful pCARS resembles nothing of what was presented in Shift 2.

Nothing more annoying in a driving sim/game than trying to control floaty cars with no sense of weight, or unusually unpredictable behavior.

Ok, well then in that case yeah, I personally believe the floaty feeling is pretty much all gone. It can still be an issue in some situations but as said above, most of it is down to FFB which is of course still being worked on.
