I found this, its in french, but its still something

And this

I don't know if its implemented yet, but I think that the current mode for the demo at least may be put on the "ARCADE" setting.

I can see hundred thousands of pissed off arcade gamers after the first few laps :D maybe they get interested in real sim racing at some point.

I was thinking the same, welcome to real racing suckers!
The difficulty might put of the NFS crowd but who cares, this is gonna be a wet dream for all of us racing nuts and i'm sure the average punter will be able to manage with all assists on when the final game is released.

Thing is though, the punters still have to be able to play the game fairly easily in order for it to sell in big numbers. The bigger the numbers, the more cars/tracks/features we get in DLC and we'll get a PCars 2, 3 etc.

There is enough arcade and simcade console games (including GT6 and Forza 5 )on the market, it was about time for real simulation game for console!
Assetto Corsa,iRacing,rFactor2,Game Stock Car are also welcome to consoles!

We need games that combine the physics of asset to corsa with the customisation and selection of forza and gt.

Just race cars in a game is plain boring.

Sorry,it's not boring for me.
I'm more of a car fan than a racing fan, so I like to see a lot of road cars to go with race cars. I'm more of a hot lapper or cruiser. IMO, project cars has a very decent car list, which is one of the reasons I'm super hyped for it.

It doesn't matter what cars or tracks you put in, if the "punters" or whatever you like cant run into another car or go off the track and smack the wall and still be in the race at the end it will most likely fail on console. The majority of people on the console are not gonna continue in a race they know they can no longer win. Its just not the type of gaming most console players are looking for.

Sad but true. Looked what happened to Warthog after producing Richard Burns Rally, where are they now?

I think RBR was only available on PAL consoles. It's no surprise that a part-PC-exclusive game about a single motorsport niche didn't take off. To answer the question, according to wikipedia, they make handheld ports and LEGO games now.

Project CARS needs to do what Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport did: allow the average gamer to feel welcome enough to keep playing, while emphasizing "realism" with enough marketing to convince the player that any mistakes are their own fault. It didn't matter how much of a simulation the GT/FM games really were, they were marketed on "realism", and anyone could excuse themselves with that whenever they had a hard time on the track. Nowadays, within their respective camps, GT and FM's credibility is untouchable.

Anyway, I don't see the point in jeering "arcade racers." There are plenty of people who enjoy both sims and arcade-style games -- I've been spending this month with Mario Kart 8 -- and there's nothing to be gained from drawing lines between groups.

Loved this video. 👍

Also, this is first thing I've seen that made me want a PS4 someday.

@jefafa - Some of the best camera settings I've seen, looks uber-realistic.

👍

nice view. Strange how sound of engine when driving over curbs gets muted and curb/tire sound takes over. Feels like there is more work to do there.

Final mixing and balancing of audio is done at the very end. No point getting things perfect now then having to tweak it again when you add in final engine audio for some cars.
