Freakianer does some good vids

Thanks looks ok. I am not sure what the AI is doing at 2:04? :D

Anyhow it looks arcaedish I dont know what it is? From that video I get a "Shift" feeling. How can I explain what I mean? Somehow edgy and the cars move a bit unnatural. Especially when he drifts/get oversteer in corners, with that tyre sound, it remembers me a lot to shift.

They might as well come here

Somebody should ask why Sony is blocking other wheel manufacterers than Thrustmaster.

From which build is this video? If it's like this on release day I won't even touch it. This was really irritating on Shift and Shift 2.
You did notice that he hit the curbing at the same time he tried the throttle right? That was just a little wheel spin. He didn't even attempt to take that corner seriously.

The car was sliding even before he entered the corner. This kind of oversteer is characteristic of NFS Shift. I'm kinda disappointed since PCARS was doing fine until some builds ago, they didn't need to go and do this.

If you call that sliding. Still, that so called "pendulum effect" didn't happen until he hit that curb. That would upset any car; especially something as rear heavy as the Rufs. I didn't see any exaggerated floating on the corner before; nor in the vid @Timppaq just posted. Which happens to be the same car.

Well, I hope you're right. PCARS holds a lot of potential, I'd hate to see it ruined by something by the time it releases.

Guys the "pendulum effect vid" basically just shows a badly setup chase cam (believe it or not). It sadly is able to give really wrong impression of what's happening.. that is the exact reason me & others are testing some changes to the camera.. :) No need to worry!

So, if you want to help with this (now is the chance and time to comment - not after release ;) ) tell in detail what you like & what you don't like in a chase cam, for example.

Well, I'd the chase cam not to be so stiff, it looks like it's attached to a pole that's attached to the rear bumper of the car. GT has a camera like that and It's just so distracting. :irked:

To anyone worried about the "pendulum" effect that we all know and hate from Shift, watch the video below (or in Timppaq's post above), it has a custom chase cam. The effect is to do with the poor default settings of the chase cam (which can sadly only be changed with TweakIt I believe), it's not the physics of the game. If it were the physics, WMD would be on fire with posts about it.

Hi! That video is mine and it refers to the BUILD 794 .... BUT i want to clarify (as I wrote on the P.CARS official forum) that problem (floating/pendulum effect) is only a VISUAL problem (external camera) and NOT a problem of physics game. improving this view, this effect is no longer present, also because all other visuals are not affected by this problem. Bye!

Are people actually planning on playing a racing sim in chase view ?

yeah now the today-sim offer highly detailed and realistic cockpit but in some "crowded" situation, especially in online (starting in the first place) you may need to use the external view ...
