No dynamic environments? There aren't tire tracks in the "kitty litter". MotorStorm on PS3 had tire tracks and even ruts that affected vehicle handling. Why can't this be done in this gen? Or have SMS overlooked that?

They still have time to fix it, the game is not gold yet (at least I don't think it is)

But it isn't sim driving looking at the back of the or using a controller.

There are simulation sports games, simulation fighting games, simulation military shooters and simulation racing games.

All can be thoroughly enjoyed using a controller. You don't need a replica peripheral or a certain view to enjoy and appreciate the detail put into it.

At the end of the day it comes down to preference and letting the user tailor the experience to what they want. And let us be honest here, it isn't sim driving when there is a colored braking line floating above the ground, adjustable assists for certain cars that don't have the assists in real life, or a pause and restart button for when you mess up in races. These are all options given because it is a video game for a wide breadth of users interested in playing with their favorite cars with real world characteristics.

The "simulation" is the part that happens after the game records your input and before it renders an image to send to your display. Your chosen camera perspective and input device are irrelevant.

What's the point of telling him "it isn't sim driving," anyway? Do you think @IKizzLE will have an epiphany that he's been enjoying sim-oriented racing games -- gasp -- the WRONG WAY this whole time?!

So I just watched the video from the access PlayStation YouTube channel. I noticed that the rain affects were inside the helmet view, and not on the helmet itself. Will that be fix accordingly? Sorry for being picky. :/

^That's a wide FOV for you :embarrassed: (just to be clear, not against using it!)
Yeah I know, I wish that someday somehow they could get in the same sense of speed feel for us average console users with nothing more than a flat screen, still happy with how it currently is though! :D

Flat screen? Not absolutely sure if it'll include that but it will surely include a weird band over your head.

0:38 (did not watch the whole video) that is how a lot of console (and also PC) gamers will play this game. Interestingly there are no penaltys.
Thing is there is going to be custom lobbies and those people will be instantly kicked by the host. Plus we don't know what penalty system will be in place yet.

And if you're that worried about it join a league.

Does racing from the hood give you an advantage or was he and you referring to the going off the racing line or crashing?

I tried online racing in GT6 and was wondering why the other gamers are 4-5 seconds faster per lap. So I watched how they race and have seen that they go extremly out of the track to gain advantage and can pass corners very fast. That sucks. I prefer an penalty system like in Assetto Corsa more than people going off the track that much. 2 wheels off the track is ok but they go 5-6 meter off the track.

I was reffering to 0:39 where he is going totaly off the track to overtake the AI cars. Ok in the video he did this to not crash into the other cars. But I am 100% sure morons in online race will use this to get faster lap times.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

Steering looks way easier in Pcars. No fight with the car. I never have driven an SLS so I don´t know wich one refelects the real car physics better?!
