Based on? There have been nothing but fan made designs out there.Even if it is real I think it looks too big to fit in even the largest of pockets.
I do...And really, you would stick a PSP in your pocket?
Do you use screen protectors?I do...
See: Portable Ops.They could bring PSP games up to look and play just like a PS2 game, but then they would have very little storage capacity left for content.
I was thiking Twisted Metal: Head On.See: Portable Ops.
To add: Rock Band: Unplugged will be on UMD, not downloadable, so a no UMD PSP2 sounds unlikely too, unless the put this up on the PSN store.If a new psp comes out it wont be a replacement as they've recently announced the Rock Band Unplugged pack for psp out later this year.
Listening to Kazunori Yamauchi I think they still intend it for PSP at some point.do you think a psp2 would have gt4/5 mobile on it?
Is that confirmed? I've only seen rumors, and those have said a download straight from PSN would be $15, but they have been doing the pre-orders at $19.99. If these are true then it means that some people have pre-ordered and may not have broadband acess and they just got ripped-off for $5.Well, now that Patapon 2 is releasing only for download I see no reason why GT:M can't do the same thing. They're releasing boxes in the stores though, but in these boxes are download coupons.
Posted up the pic..
Yeah that looks very impressive, the only two things I dont like are the round PS button (should be square for this design) and its not PSP shaped!

And Insider Source strikes again! Although this, time, if this does turn out to be true, he would have hit the motherload! QJ tipster zen has sent us word that there are two great news rumors to fixate our minds on the rest of the day, nay, even week. One, the PSP2 is real and someone has actually held it in his hands for real (that would be Insider Source). Two, PS3 is getting a price drop, and that's gonna be U$ 100 off your back.
According to Insider Source, who relayed his "findings" back to One Last Continue, Sony reps met up with some people to show the next iteration of the PSP. They were, however, not allowed to play with it. Descriptions would reveal the following:
* Rounded Edges
* Dual analog sticks
* Small sliding screen
* Similar size and thickness to current PSP model
* No UMD drive
PSP2? - Image 1
something like that... but not really...
Hmmm... these details have been seen before. It seems like it strongly concurs with previous reports on the specs of the PSP2. Also, it looks like Dave Perry might have actually be onto something when he said that the PSP2 won't have the UMD drive.
And there's more from Inside Source: "Patapon 2 is kinda the test drive, heard it said that if it fails massively, then the new PSP may put UMD back. Said they are working out bugs for release." So far, no other PSP title coming out for launch has been announced to be sold as a digital content.
Why Patapon 2? That's not so hard to guess either, given that the previous iteration was a huge hit. It would then make sense to use it as a gauge to see if people would still buy the game given its quality, or if the format would factor in their decision-making as consumers. But that's just my two cents.
Patapon 2 - Image 1 Just going about their own merry way...
The other interseting bit from Insider Source is that a US$ 100 price cut is indeed coming to the PS3, to be announced during E3. And get this, apparently, North American vendors have been given the heads up of this price drop as they've been said to be "stockpiling" the consoles in anticipation of this price drop.
And to all this, what does good ol' Sony have to say? Julie Han of Corporate Communications replied: "I don't know who your source is, but Sony is not in the business of answering rumors."
Well I say they can just have flat-out denied if there was no merit to it, yes? I say there's fire where there's smoke. And it smells like its headed to the E3.
The 2nd one wouldn't be bad; but I keep mine in a pocket most of the time; the heat in your pocket.. just like the original LG Chocolate phones.. would cause either over-sensitivity or under-sensitivity.. it's why they went away from the touch-panel thing. It was a pain in the ass in the long run.. basically.
I kinda like this one though:
I agree. Not everyone likes digital downloads, or can do it. And I imagine that unless Memory Stick prices drop drastically people won't like filling up their memory sticks with two games.I'm still not sold on the lack of a UMD drive. While overall I have negative feelings towards full games being DLC only, I'd be amazed if Sony was dumb enough to try it on the PSP2 exclusively as well as can any BC the handheld could have.
You forgot reason C: Sony likes to do silly things.I think the biggest reason why Sony is moving to digital content is a. to reduce costs and b. To stop piracy.
It is also much easier to do on the DS, and it is possible on all DS models (which it isn't on modern PSPs).At the moment piracy on the psp is simply rediculous. Not that the DS is much better but at least the DS requires some money spent to play pirated games. PSP does it all for free.
