Unzip the file, copy it to USB drive/unzip directly to USB x:\PS3\SAVEDATA\BCUSxxxx
Plug in the USB flash drive to the PS3, copy the replay file to save game data on XMB, launch GT5, go to replay theater - click import replay -above the search and close button :D

This is ridiculous, there must be an easier way, can someone upload unzipped and ready to copy to ps3 as i only have ps3 no PC.
Or even Youtube?

And come on guys, do any of you think you could do a 6.27 if you cut the same bits he did?

Not seen vid but would that cut 3 secs off?

Plus people were saying an online lap is 5 or 6 secs slower than offline so it would be a 6.24-5 even at the clean 6.30 i and CSLACR seen which everyone said was impossible!

Damn i just looked at it... That 4:46 one is bad. I never took this that serious though so I would have never paid attention to it, nor did i view the video before I uploaded it, i just skipped to the end to check the time.

I have done it without an off but I have no replay of it. Shall I put off track next to the lap time, or just ask the mods to shut the thread down.

P.S. I don't gain time when that happens, As I can't actually gain speed like I do when I'm on the pavement

Whats your suggestion?

P.S. the video replay sucks... Doesn't look like the same car at all, the way it moves.
 
Yes that can be done, it's not done because of file size constraints on the site. That is why roscko's was off site even though it was zipped.

You know, when you where all fired up and all that? Well I tried to show about things like that(even posted a vid for you to compare). I'm glad you see where we are coming from now and no, I'm not being condescending. It may be a 'video game' but it's taken very seriously around here.

I honestly think the first off could be no time gain, but "a dirty time is a dirty time" as so often is heard in Time Trial competitions. If there was no time gain from it, you could definetly improve it. 👍

But next time, try not to make claims about times if all you have as proof is a dirty lap. :lol:
 
You showed of someone gaining huge time cutting huge parts of the track, Neither of those gain me noticeable time..

Either way, you win. This became way more than it was ever suppose to....

P.S. that wouldn't be considered an off in a TT event. As the game penalty wouldn't pick it up.

I do realize in a sanctioned race, this is important though, And I drive accordingly.

When I read your posts I think "He's generally on topic, but he basically talking to himself, and doesn't actually reply to anything being said"

I think the TT's are a little more important than GTP, but either way, If I'm not allowed to claim the lap due to forum rules, the mods can close the thread.

Trying to upload to youtube but it keeps saying network problem (500) and when i try to just go on the app normally no videos show up, its just blank, is youtube down for everyone else.
Strange thing copied to PS3 to try to upload from there and the video plays upside down on ps3???

When that happens, I will congratulate them for being faster then a guy that doesn't own a PS3 and plays on the weekends, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Mate he hit a clean 6.30.7 from a standing start online which many said was impossible, that was on his 2nd race.
6.30.1 on 3rd race but then him and CSLACR left, he will back this up and hopefully i'll get this vid up soon.

And don't forget you guys were saying online is 5 secs slower than off!

Dirty or not, you seems perfectly capable of matching your claimed time. That's an eye opener for everyone I guess. Unbelievable that someone who do not own ps3, use a pad and plays on weekend only surprised a whole lot of gt academy finalist, Wrs div 1 gold and the Gtp 'lord' of the Ring.

You have a natural talent and should really consider taking this further.

My apologies cause I had serious doubts about your claims in earlier posts.

Sounds like online physics is different but not necessarily much slower than offline.

Roscko, I had a healthy dose of skepticism happening early in the week when this started, but congrats on sticking to your story and staying (mostly) civil in the face of some pretty average attitudes from a couple of people.
Also, well done on laying down the lap today when the spotlight was on.

Arora, the claim was 6'27, which everyone screamed was impossible. The replay has now been posted (on the day he said he would), and I can't watch it now, but unless the off was a big deliberate short cut, then I think the claim counts as verified.
Roscko didn't do that lap thinking it would be scrutinized, so it is not like he is cheating anyone out of anything
