Arora, the claim was 6'27, which everyone screamed was impossible. The replay has now been posted (on the day he said he would), and I can't watch it now, but unless the off was a big deliberate short cut, then I think the claim counts as verified.
Roscko didn't do that lap thinking it would be scrutinized, so it is not like he is cheating anyone out of anything

It's dirty and means about jack squat tbh

I'll pester him away from his personal life just for you, there is no way you can come close to holland ffs, you are just being silly now.

Why can't someone get close to Dhollands times exactly?

Unzip the file, copy it to USB drive/unzip directly to USB x:\PS3\SAVEDATA\BCUSxxxx
Plug in the USB flash drive to the PS3, copy the replay file to save game data on XMB, launch GT5, go to replay theater - click import replay -above the search and close button :D

Btw why can't someone who has this working copy to xmb and upload to youtube if it working in USA?
PS3 can upload to youtube you know!

I would love to if I could, I don't have capture card and my GT5 can't go online yet, deleted my game data again last night, back to 1.0 ... something wrong with the internet ...

If it was run for a TT comp, yes. But this was a proof of ability verification. If he can do a slightly dirty 6'27, then I don't think a clean lap will be 6'35.

There is no question Dan is damn quick, but he is still human. If one person can do a time, it is highly likely that someone else can do something very similar, even if it is a little but slower

I've seen plenty of people beat him, I've also seen plenty of replays, you my friend, are not up to the task.

How do you know this?

Both times I went off, are not time gainers. I have checked split times on many, many laps and never noticed an advantage making the mistakes I did. Clean lines are equally as fast. I Only go off track by accident.

I like this tvr idea.

Why not set it up? arcade car, no anything other then the car and track, you will get many takers.

Oh man, if dirty is ok now, please any and every mod of gtp, just ban me now. That is the weakest pile of horse crap I have ever heard, dirty is ok, just a little?

please

In time. I have to do some serious adapting to the tires grip level. When will you be validating the tuning aspect on Dhollands lap? I already have a challenge everyone can try.... :dunce:

P.S. Your continuously double posting without any groundbreaking news 👎

You are double cluttering my thread :(

I have clean replay at 6.30 with me and CSLACR as witnessed from standing start online and am pretty sure he could go faster, he only did 3 races!

I would be more bothered if you claimed you never ran off track at all.

To be honest, I hardly ever do. Thats why I got 2 6:30's off in those Races with CSLACR phil is talking about. I did get a little sideways a little to many times on those laps though. But I was rusty.

This is only on 2 tracks though. I am garbage at the rest, as I don't enjoy driving them.

Which region copy is your GT5 ? Check the box spine, you need to have the same code as the replay file for the game to recognize the file. That means you must have BCUS98114 region 1 copy of GT5. If you can copy the replay file to XMB and under XMB it can display the correct info, there's nothing wrong on you side, besides that region thing.

I'm in UK so its PAL!

Poo! Region 2

What about recording on phone like i did with lap i'm uploading to youtube?

Small_Fryz I'm available for the next 2 hours if your free?

And whoever else might want to race.

When that happens, I will congratulate them for being faster then a guy that doesn't own a PS3 and plays on the weekends, sometimes more, sometimes less.
You need to learn the importance, or rather, the extreme lack of importance of internet claims.

Maybe you're a weekend warrior, maybe a daily diehard, maybe you can turn a clean 27, maybe a clean 28's the best you'll get.

What I can tell you is this - If you want to go around making claims to be a "Ringmaster" and as good as anyone, you're going to get laughed at without proof.
Even in cases like this where you have a lap time, a "Ringmaster" can drive more than 550PP cars on RS at the Ring.

A Ringmaster can drive an Enzo on CS at the Ring, and Daihatsu on CH, and a SuperGT on RH's, LMP's, etc etc.

Lose some arrogance, gain some practice, lose the chip on the shoulder, and stop making claims you cannot prove. Not because they are or aren't true, because nobody gives a damn what a random kid on the internet says unless he has proof.
That's just the way it is.

I'm glad you came through though, I'd even like to join some of your rooms running some Nurburgring laps (Fast Nurb diehards aren't that easy to find) but it'd be most awesome if we could race enjoyable combos at the Ring eventually too. :) Once you learn cars on lesser tires, you'll never go back.

Edit: Oh, and if you want to see how your Nurburgring skills are compared to the absolute best, I'm sure this has already been suggested.

Totally agree with this, a "Ring master" is someone like mike_gt3 or ok8 to name just 2, someone who can take any car at any PP or stock on any tyres, like this awesome car control

Stock Cobra on CH Tyres:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIZWitIUYf0&feature=youtube_gdata_player or this

Stock Yellowbird on CH tyres:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ54QkUAX5I&feature=youtube_gdata_player

But to be fair his claim was only 1 car on 1 track at 1PP level and in my eyes he has come good on that claim!

Vid is nearly uploaded, taking ages!

Well said Dom^ :)

Mate he hit a clean 6.30.7 from a standing start online which many said was impossible, that was on his 2nd race.
6.30.1 on 3rd race but then him and CSLACR left, he will back this up and hopefully i'll get this vid up soon.

And don't forget you guys were saying online is 5 secs slower than off!

Not exactly, i guessed it would be 5 seconds if small-fryz and i had the same pace (offline/online) he did 6:33, but he then tried without the wing with a similar setup to mine and he did 6:30, wich is more like 2 seconds gap as CSLACR said. that would mean someone would be able to do 6:22 offline... and that im 120% sure will not happen, even with SRF it would probably not be possible.

After trying the car online i can see some area where the car stay more planted than offline, and some area better offline. It was great racing online, better than the few times i tested in the past.

rosko, the lap of the Tamora done by Dholland is with a stock car from arcade, if you try it you will see the top speed match.

:)

This is ridiculous, there must be an easier way, can someone upload unzipped and ready to copy to ps3 as i only have ps3 no PC.
Or even Youtube?

This is ridiculous that you have to work at viewing a replay? Any idea what's involved in getting one of these on YouTube?

Here's a guide on how to move it onto your PS3, we do it every week in the WRS TT's. It sounds like you are PAL, so it will not work for you. But nonetheless, there it is, should you ever need it.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=176743

Regardless... My speed has been proven, without a doubt.

Surely, GT academy finalists/WRS gold guys can hit 6:27's clean or dirty.

Dirty never, ever, ever counts in an official competition. 👎

You can tune cars run in arcade mode can you not?

You can run a "favorites" car. That said, if the lap is saved as a ghost replay, we can verify whether or not the arcade car was used through the data logger. That's why I asked if your lap was a ghost, as there are lot of things that cannot be verified without the logger.

Arora, the claim was 6'27, which everyone screamed was impossible. The replay has now been posted (on the day he said he would), and I can't watch it now, but unless the off was a big deliberate short cut, then I think the claim counts as verified.

Dirty is dirty. Surely a registry member such as yourself realizes that. As soon as he goes around the forums calling out times, it needs to be a clean lap. Otherwise, what standard do we have?

Why can't someone get close to Dhollands times exactly?

I count 3 times out of 47 he lost straight up in WRS TT's. He was also DQ'd for dirty laps 5 times, that's nothing to be proud of. But speaking of dirty laps................

http://wrs.gtplanet.net/driver/GTP_DHolland/

If it was run for a TT comp, yes. But this was a proof of ability verification. If he can do a slightly dirty 6'27, then I don't think a clean lap will be 6'35.

All of that is true. But the fact remains, dirty is dirty.

Waited 3 hours for video to upload and now its finished it says " video cannot be uploaded"!!!
WHY NOT SAY THIS FIRST!!!

Now when i try again it says "videos cannot be iploaded from a cloud service"
IT IS NOT ON A CLOUD SERVICE, IT IS IN VIDEOS ON MY PHONE!

WTF? Any Ideas?

CSLACR Can verify he did the tim from a standing start though!

File size may be an issue, try a lower resolution. YT has a size limit on videos, normally about 15 minutes of HD is all it can handle (know that from GoPro footage) but might be different with these replay files.

Its only 6.40 mins but recorded at 1080p, 1.2GB total plus it went right up to 100% before it told me!
