I can't get a backfire to show up properly for the life of me lol

The first shot is great.
Regarding the backfire, use a higher shutter speed, the flames blur with the background.

Thanks I tried upping the shutter speed but then it didn't even show up. The only way I could get it to show up at all was to lower it.
