The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

I suggest the Audi R8 5.2 not the 4.2 as this season's Audi. It's heavier (less advantage) but more torque to challenge the Camaro and Viper's levels.

The Audi is also 4WD which is a huge advantage in handling and wet weather.

I beat an Audi in the wet with the Vette. Kevin was within a tenth of the Audi @Laguna Seca in his Vette also. There's no advantage IMO, front tire wear is higher thanks to AWD as well.

In fairness, Polar came close to winning that.

Also, since cnd said something about testing, how are we doing this?

Coming close to winning still isn't winning ;). The whole idea is 4wd is good in the wet, but it can be beaten. And the extra torque from the V10 R8 just makes up for the 33kg difference from the V8. But it's closer in reality to the one being raced. Audi doesn't use the 4.2 in the R8 LMS.

Anything can be beaten, but it doesn't mean the advantage isn't there. That's the point being made.

Well, we won't really know whether that extra torque does make a difference or not until testing begins. Seems like we're trying to get cars and tracks (perhaps?) decided first.

Yes. I'll bring a large number of those cars, and decide on the spot.

I'm thinking 2 tracks, both of which the real Rolex cars race at so we can compare times.

Daytona road and laguna seca. One fast, one slower.

Okay. I'll bring all of the cars you've put into the Rolex Series, and the cars you've put into the Conti Tire Series.

Yes, I have all GT and GS cars from both series. :)

Nice! I can't be on too late though, Fridays my last day of school! It's a half day, so I'll be home earlier though... And then I'm as free as a butterfly! Too bad it's hotter than a set of jumper cables at a puertorican wedding.... Lololololol just heard that from my dad and had to use it!

So how are we going to base our numbers? Real life and go from there? Or tweak what we already have?

What we have and go from there more. But that being said, for the new cars we may try the real settings and tweak those.

Hahaha, no. Puerto Rico's cars aren't as bad as Venezuelan cars. :) ;) my friend's from Venezuela...

I too have a friend who's family is from Venezuela. He skips school a lot. He had a 33% in English, and didn't take the finals, so he'll finish with a 23% in English 10... Lol

May I join in the testing? Tests over so I have a break for awhile.
If possible I'd like to add a car as well, namely the Lotus Evora.

Sure! Not sure about the evora, for this season at least.

So... the idea is to get all the cars regulated in such a way that they're all running the same lap times yeah? Is that all we're considering?

I will bring every car from the CTSCC and Rolex SCS that I have. Let's get these specs hammered out for the upcoming season. I should get on at about 2 hours.

ok sounds good to me
