The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

There are going to be 2 more preseason races, Autumn Ring is this weekend on the 20th, and Cape Ring Inside is on the 27th.

We'll just pretend this wasn't here... XD

Since I think we need to get kinda back on track, anyone have any car spec complaints?

Going on how the R8 runs at certain tracks maybe a performance boost for tracks with longer straights? I was really struggling to keep up, with slipstream, at fuji.

Maybe a +x amount of HP for certain tracks?

It was keeping up fine at Daytona. But this was before they did they aero update. I'm still running full downforce on the 458 if it matters any.

Hmm well I think don't make any changes until we've had a few more races so I can figure out if its me or not thats slowing the car down.

I don't see adding hp for certain tracks working out. Then it gets complicated, hard to remember, and it wrongs the people who don't get any boost on bigger tracks.

This is true too... We'll see how the Audi is for the rest of preseason.

The Audi is the wild card in the series. It was last year too. It had lots of trouble at Daytona and Indy. It was really fast at tighter smaller tracks.

That's fine, cnd.

I have always said that Fuji is my bogey track. Something doesn't quite go according to plan when I race there. Last season I just ***** my race up at the caution, which speaking of, I still say was a deliberately induced one.

That's because it was.

I agree with both of you, but let's move on. I actually benefited from it the most, and I think that it shouldn't have been a caution. That "phantom caution" was last year.

I solved the understeer issue on Fuji. The Audi is heavy on the fronts, and doing a 10/90 torque distribution makes it a RWD car, which completely ruins the point of its AWD. Tip for the Audi, use your AWD to get good launches. It's the strongest point of the car. Use different lines. When others are battling, wait it out, lurk, wait until they make a mistake and pounce. Always be unexpected. I took surprise podiums by capitalizing on others' mistakes and defending hard on the straights. That Audi has the potential to win races, despite the straightline speed issue.

Didn't Storm miss the race?

I see what you did there.

Anyway, I think the Audi is fine where its at. Its supposed to be slower in the straights. Takes more to power all four wheels. But like GHS said, it should rocket out of those corners.

I agree with this. If the Audi is slow at the halfway mark, then we need to give it a little boost.

We'll see how it is this week. The 4WD should make it a rocket at the ring! (Autumn Ring that is xD)

I'm sure it will be. I'm sure the Audi will be just fine this year. I don't want the Audi to end up like it did Season 1.

Goodness, that was a disaster.... But we still had fun!

We may change some specs mid season if needed again.
