I read somewhere that the director of Enthusia's physics had actually joined PD X)To clarify, when i wrote "Or is it vice verrsa?", what i ment is
perhaps the devs behind Enthusia were first on the idea of a driving simulator game,
but then PD overheard it and went into making their own.
It's just my "In different dimension" thought.
You really were not listening at all if that's genuinely what you took from today.Nothing has changed, every single sound is the same.
Damn you, was about to post thathttps://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...and-screenshots.331389/page-109#post-11379550
That sounds actually promising and way better than I've heard up until now 👍
They have somehow managed to make it even worse than in GT6. Or perhpas it's just the sound level that has been exaggerated to the max?I really, really, really hope they have a slider for that tire noise. It's horrible and way, way, way too loud.
It's hilarious, isn't it? either it's completely inaudible (PCARS), or way too loudI really, really, really hope they have a slider for that tire noise. It's horrible and way, way, way too loud.

gear changes are a bit iffy, but that's a 458 V8 you're hearing right there.
Well dont want to start a console war, but I am completely unimpressed by that trailer / demo of the new game.
Really just more of the same talk, talk, talk. To me it looks a lot like GT6 and sound is still way far from what I was hoping for.
So glad I bought the Xbox with Forza 6. I had plans to buy a PS4 for GT but will defenetly hold off until seing something more impresive that what they have showm so far.
Are we really judging sound based on an off-screen mobile phone recording? That can be masking or hiding a lot of the sound, altering it based on the microphone or even masking that some areas of the sound are missing.
The only sound you should be judging is direct feed.
Direct obviously has all the detail, but it doesn't magically change the note of the engine. Are we really judging sound based on an off-screen mobile phone recording? I noticed this as well. I can sort of decipher that the engine sound itself is better but that everything else is kind of the same. It's still too "perfect" as Kaz would say and lacks all the character and nuance that comes with real car engine/transmission/chassis sounds. Hopefully it's something they are working on for the final release. You can still get a rough idea of what's missing, the gear changes in particular in the 458 GT3 video sound dissapointing.
It's that word again...Didn't PD hire a sound designer from Turn 10 who worked on Forza 4 a while back? I sure hope the sounds in these videos are just place holders!
