To clarify, when i wrote "Or is it vice verrsa?", what i ment is
perhaps the devs behind Enthusia were first on the idea of a driving simulator game,
but then PD overheard it and went into making their own.
It's just my "In different dimension" thought.

I read somewhere that the director of Enthusia's physics had actually joined PD X)
And actually - Gran Turismo was a driving simulator since 1997 :)

Nothing has changed, every single sound is the same. Let's hope they release some actual footage with the engine sounds. Lucas Ordonez said the sound was much improved, but I suppose he has to say it because of... I don't know.
Also, the graphics were insane in photo mode, the rest was just like GT6. I really hope I'm wrong...

Don't get me wrong, I loved what I see, but I was expecting some more.... "wow" for the first title on PS4, I don't know, maybe I have to wait a little bit more. But I remember the unveiling of GT5 on the TGS and the one for the anniversary for GT6 and many many things were just promises. Sometimes I believe that Kaz just talks because he is very enthusiastic about their game and then they don't really have the time to make everything they promised.
That being said, I loved both 5 and 6, but I'm like, ok, this is PS4, this needs to be groundbreaking.

That's the thing, Kaz said, the first, physics, sounds and graphics will be drastically improved... I don't see nor hear that. I can't say anything about the physics.
Also, their models were so advanced that they were PS4 ready. Now they're not and they had to build the almost 200 cars from scratch, but they still don't look as good as in Driveclub for example...
My god I hope they get everything right but I was right, everything was so full of advertising and blababla but the first reaction wasn't that great at all. I hope I'm wrong because I want GT on PS4 to be amazing.

As always, pure blababla, money thrown into huge presentations and nothing really new. I'm even surprised of saying this, I'm the one who defends Gran Turismo with cape and sword but this getting annoying.
Just imagining how much the game could change with the sounds of Raceroom makes me sad...
Or the graphics of the Nurburgring from Forza 5... I don't know. I want it to be good but I'm disappointed.

I really, really, really hope they have a slider for that tire noise. It's horrible and way, way, way too loud.
They have somehow managed to make it even worse than in GT6. Or perhpas it's just the sound level that has been exaggerated to the max?

Well dont want to start a console war, but I am completely unimpressed by that trailer / demo of the new game.

Really just more of the same talk, talk, talk. To me it looks a lot like GT6 and sound is still way far from what I was hoping for.

So glad I bought the Xbox with Forza 6. I had plans to buy a PS4 for GT but will defenetly hold off until seing something more impresive that what they have showm so far.

Well, that's the thing, we all waited a long time hoping for this entry to be a rebirth for the series, and it doesn't seem to be that way.
Even with Bad quality, most of the time, you can clearly see in the trailers the difference. Here? It starts well with that image of the BMW but then bum! Seems PS3...
That's why I asked him about his impressions because so far, isn't looking good. And I don't want to buy the damn game for the promises, I want to buy it because is a true masterpiece as many of the previous entries were.
Sometimes I think that Kaz doesn't really cares, he talks a lot but then nothing is quite there. I was hoping the trailer to have at least a couple of seconds, at the end for example, with an interior view and amazing sound screaming all around. Something similar at the TGS trailer for GT Prologue I think it was, then it was a lie, those sounds I mean, but, you know?

Are we really judging sound based on an off-screen mobile phone recording? That can be masking or hiding a lot of the sound, altering it based on the microphone or even masking that some areas of the sound are missing.

The only sound you should be judging is direct feed.

You can still get a rough idea of what's missing, the gear changes in particular in the 458 GT3 video sound dissapointing.

Direct obviously has all the detail, but it doesn't magically change the note of the engine.

I noticed this as well. I can sort of decipher that the engine sound itself is better but that everything else is kind of the same. It's still too "perfect" as Kaz would say and lacks all the character and nuance that comes with real car engine/transmission/chassis sounds. Hopefully it's something they are working on for the final release.
