Is there any practice tonight guys?

The first practices will be during the week Jammy. Tonight is Goodwolfs Maserati Trophy. The link is in my sig, and theres room on the grid if you fancy some racing tonight.

Ooh what time are you racing? I'll check out the the link now the see if I've got time! Probably not though at this late hour!

Ok racers, tomorrow (Monday) I will be practicing at Cheviot to get an idea for the lap counts for next Sundays races. Lobby will be open from 8.00pm if anyone wants to join and get a feel for this track. I will not be about on Tues or Weds, but I may hold another session on Thursday evening. Normal weekend practice will still take place.

Ran the first timed laps at Cheviot tonight. Geordie joined myself, Rosen, Goodwolf and Will at this super fun custom track. Practice is very recommended, as there are a couple of areas of the track which require driver concentration, namely the Reiver Ring, and the back section where the track narrows. With the times set tonight, I am now able to work out the laps for Sundays races.

GOODWOLF...1:12.131

Geordie did set a 1:11.9xx during free run before the timed races tonight. Hopefully he can reserve the TV for Sunday and join us.

For those who havn't experienced Cheviot yet, heres a lap.

Great fun tonight, i'll be on tomorrow night for some more runs if anyone's interested? probably from about half 7ish. catch you all later.

Nice! On my 14th lap at this track I did my PB.
No need to answer the question, what do I think about the track, is there?

PS Practice is needed so you don't end up in the barrier during the race. ;)

Exactly Goodwolf. As this is a custom track, practice is encouraged before race day. But when you have learnt the track, its very rewarding.

Fun practice last night! Even if the draft helped me under .13 I'm pleased to (well almost) keep up with you fast guys.

One issue is the grass... :) Can it be removed or something?

Sunday see's the third and final event in the 96 Elise RM, before we switch to the SC2 Elise 111R RM for the final 3 events. So official practicing using both tyres for these 2 races will take place on Friday and Saturday from 8.00pm BST. The races will be taking place at Cheviot GT, a custom track created by Core GT founder Omnius. Early practice has shown that this track suits the Elise well, but there are some danger points.

1. The Reiver Ring.

Iconic feature of this hilly track at the end of the downhill section after T1. Get this right, and it sets you up for the next section of the track, and a fast lap. Get it wrong, and it will be cruel and spit you into the barrier.

2. The narrow back sector.

After going through the Reiver and the next few high speed turns, The track suddenly narrows. This stretch of narrow track is high speed, with some slight kinks and twists, and takes you all the way to the final turn. It is a good place to catch slip stream, but is very dangerous to attempt an overtake, as there isnt room. So patients along this stretch of track will pay in the end, as the final turn will catch you out if approached at high speed.

Some of you will have raced here in Core GT races many times, and we know that it can provide some excellent close racing, but it can also be cruel, so practicing with other racers for Sundays races is highly recommended. đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

I will be running some laps tonight on the SS tyre in my lobby from 8.00pm if anyone wants to join.

Edit: Ran some laps with Weescotman tonight. We only used the SS tyre, and ran 5 lap races. New fastest lap set in green text, by Will. No improvement on my time.

Thanks for the practice, I think I improved in some way.

Oh, and thanks for the set up! I decreased my brake bias from 6-3 to 6-1 and that made it possible for me to brake harder without skidding up on the hill and in the last bend - where Cobani brake-passed me two times.

Did I get lucky?

Thank you Ade for the practice tonight. Towards the end of the night, times were getting much better. As I was only a guest tonight I will say that lots of practice is needed to keep it clean and fun.

Great practice tonight. Some super fast times set at Cheviot. We ran 7 races on the SS tyre, and 3 on the SM. The times below show only the SS times set. We had some great banter during the races, and learnt about some new cheese, that sounds like a brand of lager. Apparently this cheese is Dutch????

Thats OK gents, Cobani put some laps in last night, and Third already has raced at Cheviot before, so knows the track, and what to watch out for.

With a few of us practicing last night, it became more apparent of the dangers when racing in a tight group. Especially in the back narrow section of the track. Overtaking should be avoided here as contact with the grass will result in a massive spin, or you will run out of room fast going into the final turn, and end up in the barrier. Hopefully tomorrows races will go OK, with no inquiries required. Final practice will be tonight from 8.00pm.

Final practice is done. 6 racers turned in for times tonight. Socal and Lotus added their first times to the table, but no one else could better their previous PB's tonight. Below are the times now set on the SS tyre. The SM is approx 1 to 1.5 seconds per lap off these times.

Tomorrows race will be a first for The Sunday Cup, by using a custom track. We know the track can be fun and fast, but it can also bite you back. Please keep cool heads in the opening laps and try to avoid any incidents that may result in stewards inquiries. The race's will not be won in the first laps.

Cars being lapped, please make room for lapping cars and dont try to race them. Accidents here will be costly.

Race you all tomorrow. đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Just to go over what ade said about this track, if you haven't raced on it practice would be a great idea. Be careful of the loop as there are a few lines that can be taken, and the final section isn't wide enough to run side by side. And finally if your being lapped you will get the faster car flashing their headlights, there were a few last race that did make thip a bit of a pain so keep an eye out later in the second race. Good luck tonight guys, and remember to keep it clean if you put someone off, wait until they pass before racing again.

Not long to go until event #3 of The Sunday Cup Reloaded. As both Will and myself have pointed out, get some laps in if you can to get accustomed to the track. Keep the racing clean, and in race 2 give room when being lapped. See you all tonight. đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

I'm not going to make it tonight :( good luck to all racing tonight, see you in phase 2, from the bottom of the standings no doubt

What a great couple of races to finish the first half of Sunday Cup Reloaded on. Cheviot proved to be a great track for our 96 Elise's. Some great battles were had in both races, and tyre strategy's in race 2 played a great part in the results. Now before we put the Elise's back in the garage, its champagne time for the top 3 of each race. Well done gents.

What a fantastic way to end the first part of reloaded, all the sweeter for 3rd in the first race (off again) and to take my first race win! in the 2nd. great racing from all, looking forward to part 2.
