Good luck Third, let us know how you get on. They had some simulators at the Lotus party at the weekend. One of them was on a police stand, and the simulator was inside a Lotus Europa police car like this one.

europa_zps481bda77.jpg

It was running GT5, in a Elise 111R around London. We had to sit in the car, and the screen was mounted on the front. It didnt have any sound, and it was set to auto transmission. Both Gary and myself had a go, and we both beat the polices fastest time. No prizes though, although the satisfaction of going faster than the old bill, on their own simulator was good enough.

^^^^ beating the popo on their own sim? lol well done lads.looked like great fun.

Ran a few laps in my lobby for an hour. Only practiced on the SS tyre to get an idea for the lap count for Sundays races. Fastest time was a 1:25.767, with lots of low 26's. Will run some more laps tomorrow from 8.00pm

Am running a little late, so I will be on from 8.30pm.

Practice at Madrid was fun tonight. This track is going to be the toughest track we have driven yet in SC Reloaded. Consistency will be key here. 5 racers turned in times tonight, and when TehLotus was finished, we were joined by his father, Paul, who showed some good pace. Turns out he is a Lotus 111S owner. Times set were on the SS tyre, and Will is the first pace setter at Madrid.

Beating the popo on their own sim?....

I'd like to add that the car felt very sluggish, and looked like they were running it in gt mode. It was probably in dire need of an oil change when we got to it and the coppers had put in times in the car at the start of the day.

Im going to run a few more laps on the SS tyre tonight at 8.30pm. I will only be on for an hour or so, so if anyone wants to join, feel free. Friday night will be the official practice session, when we will use both tyre compounds.

Ran some great laps with Capt Gary, which saw some super close racing. In free run, Gary became the first racer to crack into the 24's, with a 1:24.931. My fastest in free run was a 25.003. We then ran 4, 3 lap races, and we both managed to better last nights times. New times are in blue text, and Gary is the new pace setter.

Hi Ade, you've probably gathered from my Facebook pictures that I am currently on holiday in Florida, so unfortunately I won't be able to make the race on Sunday (as much as I'd love to!).

Anyway I hope you all have a great race meeting and I'll catch you for the next event...

I'm almost a minute faster on a 1.25.2xx

Great fun tonight!

Sorry for the typo. It was late, and after a 14 race/3 and a half hour practice/several lagers session, my concentration was a bit wained. I have corrected my above post.👍👍

Thats fine Jammy, have a great holiday.👍👍👍

Superb practice session gents. I have now gone through the 14 replays and gathered the times from last night. We ran 12 races on the SS tyre, as this is going to be used for most of the racing on Sunday. Some superb times were set, with most racers well into the 25's, and for the first time in Sunday Cup history, I find myself at the top of the leader board.:scared::nervous:

The times above reflect only the SS tyre, with the medium adding about 2 seconds per lap.

The races on Sunday are going to be challenging, with extra care needed in the early laps, especially at the first chicane/hairpin.

Tonight see's us take to the Nurb, in GC Gary's 500pp event, so the next time we will see Madrid will be on Sunday.

After an impromptu practice session after GC Garys 500pp BMW Nurb event, some new times have been set. New times are shown in red text.

Not long until we take to the streets of Madrid, for this 4th event in Sunday Cup Reloaded. Its going to be a tough couple of races, especially early on, so take care in the tight turns at the beginning of the races. Its going to be hard to overtake here, so patients and consistency will play a big part. During the second race, there may be cars that will be lapped, so if you are in this position, please give room for the lapping racers.

Also, eagle eyed GC Gary spotted an error in my car settings graphic. I have it listed as 277 BHP, when the room will only allow me to set it at 276. However, you can go 1 click into the 277, before it disallows you for too much power. I cant change the graphic now, as I cant find my spreadsheet amongst the hundreds of SC spreadsheets I have created. :dunce:

Im really looking forward to tonights races, and hope that I can replicate the pace I have shown in the practice sessions. See ya all tonight.👍👍👍

Ade i will be absent from the event today. i've had not track time. my time will be free starting this coming week so i'll be back then. good luck to all in the race.

Well event 4 is finished. Madrid proved to be a very intense track to race on. There are some replays that need to be looked at, but that will have to wait until tomorrow, for now is the time for the podium sitters, and for the first time in SC history, I find myself enjoying the champagne.....Cheers.👍👍

It was a great evening with lots of great fights. Awesome racing by Will and Ade in the first race. Finally the top step for the old champ ;)

The second race had so many stories and again I had some amazing battles. Fantastic pace by Gary for the win.

Great to see you on the podium Ade! Long time coming and now you are hungry for more. :mischievous:

Congrats Cobani! :D

Looks like my brake pedal spiking turned into a "brake permanently on" problem. I've disassembled my pedals and will clean the potentiometers, but as I currently am short on time I don't know when I'll get around to fix it.

Funny how problems always occur right after the end of the warranty period...

Right, its taken me a little longer than usual to sort the results out from last night. There were a couple of incidents which required looking into.

Firstly, my incident with Weal on lap 13 of race 2. At the final roundabout, Weal took a very wide line, and I had a better, inside line. As I came on his inside, he moved in on me. I slowed, but there was contact resulting in Weal bouncing into Cobani. Weal went into a spin in front of my car, and stopped when he hit the barrier. I could not avoid him. I waited for him to retake his position and go ahead, but he went into the pits and changed from the soft tyre to the medium. I asked GC Gary and Goodwolf to check the replays of this. I didnt think I was in the wrong at the time, and gave the position back, however Weal later retired from the race and from Sunday Cup.

Secondly. Goodwolf/NOMAD81 incident, lap 16 race 2. Goodwolf led the race on the SS tyres until lap 24 when he pitted. On lap 15 he approached teh_lotus's car, which was being driven by NOMAD81. As NOMAD was going to be lapped, he should have let GW pass safely, but it appears that he continued to race him. Goodwolf was flashing his lights to indicate he was going to lap NOMAD, for the entire remains of the lap, and into lap 16. There were several opportunity's to let Goodwolf pass, but no room was given. Eventually there was contact and Goodwolf spun, resulting in him hitting his PS button and his car came to a stop for several seconds. NOMAD continued, but by then Goodwolf had lost a big chunk of time.

I have decide to award Goodwolf a time compensation for this incident, and give him joint 4th place in race 2.

NOMAD joined the race at late notice, and may not of been aware of the rules on page 1 of this thread, which explains the regs regarding being lapped. He will not pick up any points for this race as a result of this incident.

As its taken longer than usual tonight, I have not had time to prepare the next race graphic, so you will have to wait until tomorrow for that, along with my race report.

Well done Ade! A podium in your own race series, about time. :sly:

Race one it all started fine for me. but lap two it all changed as I hit the barrier before the first hairpin and became a roadblock to following cars.:dunce: Grovelling apologies to Goodwolf as he hit me in my attempts to remove myself.

Race two was better, gaining second place after the start on my mediums and chasing Goodwolf who had opted to start on softs. He was pulling away by lap two, but I had also managed a gap to the chasing pack on their medium tyres. Pitting at the end of lap eight I was first to change onto the softs, remaining in second place until I was able to pass Goodwolf in the pits for his medium tyres. Bo was chasing hard in the latter part of the race so I was relieved to make the finish with a reasonable margin.

Once again, well done Ade for your podium and to Will and Bo, Bo and Will for theirs.

Piccy time! Race 1

Great pictures Gary, some fantastic shots of Madrid.👍👍👍

As promised last night, below is the venue for round 5 of Sunday Cup Reloaded. When I first announced this mini series, I said that we would be using tracks that hadnt been used for the respective cars before, as well as city tracks, and short circuits. GC Gary has tried to guess where we would be racing next, but without success. The city tracks are done, so lets move onto a short circuit which will suit our Elise's really well, and a first time visit in the SC2 car to Suzuka.
