Yes Capt Gary, your pictures are stunning. Thanks for taking the time to do them. 👍👍👍.

First few runs tonight at Monza, and the car feels great. We were in Theewars lobby, and SokaGT couldnt get in. It would be a good idea if everyone on the below list makes sure they have everyone on their friends list, as there is normally something going on almost every night in someones lobby.

Anyway, looking towards the next race, the first official practice will be this Friday. Any times recorded before then wont count, but tonights practice has given us a benchmark time of 2:06.6xx

Loving the pictures and just checked the YouTube video, nice to relive the race again... Just an observation, I think this one focused a little too much purely on the front runners (as exciting as that was) , I think the previous video at Monaco struck a better balance at looking up and down the field and having a look at other battles that were going on, just as real life highlights would do also :)

It's a shame that the lag issues spoil the look of the replays somewhat, with the cars unrealistically skidding and bobbing around.

Looking forward to Monza folks! :)

Fantastic Race,Pics and great Video,(I would agree with jammyrex about the race highlights been focused on the front runners a bit much). So after almost 3000miles testing and practice, race day was here and I found myself in 2nd place (again:D) ,Lights go Green and its a go,go,go.I like to take my time on the first lap just to get the car and myself up to Temp,Not today though. The four guys around me,one in front and the 3 right behind me and not forgetting the other 11guys just behind them had other plans. The first two turns went well and I held 2nd place.Turn 3 and V-2NR was already pulling a gap and looking to break away and do his own thing.Turn 4,5 and 6 seen me make a small break on the pack behind me and move a little towards V-2NR,the next few laps was more of the same but then V-2NR on the way into turn 7 slowed right down and came to a near stop  ,This was No time to start thinking about how bad the online connection issues are.Laps went by and I was up to a 4sec+ lead V-2NR was now back in the jaws of the pack behind. I was running my own pace but keeping an eye on the GPS Map,I seen a few changes in places behind me.Gap now getting smaller and what do you know, its V-2NR,3sec,2sec then there he goes by me.Its a few laps before the pit stops and the gap behind me was big enough for me to think about my next move.Lap 26 and in I go for a pit stop,V-2NR makes his way around for another lap, quite right as Ive come in a lap early,I wanted to add fuel so the ballance of the car would stay the same but while doing the fuel thing I forgot to change my tyres to the other compound and only seen this while leaving the pits :dunce:.Its ok I thought because you came in a lap early so the 9lap rule will still be good..But F F S what was I at..Lap 27 and the pit lane of shame awaited me..in I go and the guys put on the right tyres, all looking everywhere but at me .Out I come now in 4th place but on the right tyres :embarrassed:.9laps left, can I do anything about 3rd and 2nd place?,short answer was no.What about behind me,I was ok as long as I kept it on the black stuff. The race ended with me keeping 4th place which is a fantastic result when you look at the lineup of drivers that day . Looking forward now to Monza and not making the same mistake in the pit stop 🤬.

Points taken about the highlights vid. To be honest, it was really hard to squeeze an hours worth of racing into 15 minutes. I knew that there was a lot of action going on up at the front, so kept my focus on that. I did try to see if there was any close battles going on behind on the mini map which I could switch to, without making the video look to jerky. In future it would be good to hear of any good battles that you want me to capture, and I will endeavor to do so.

Great write up of your race Warren. 👍👍👍

Also, our antics have been reported on the Lotus facebook page and The Lotus Forums page again today, with a terrific write up, and Cobani's Pic of the Day. We got lots of likes and shares. 👍👍👍 Thank you Lotus, and TLF.

It's very nice for a new player like me to be able to post fastest times even if it's pre official practice. I didn't think that would be the case, since no major changes to the previous setup took place. Apart from an adjustment to the gearbox for the never ending straights of monza, other key parts remained the same. So please, feel free to try it as I am about to share every little detail..

Suspension Ride 90 - 130
Spring 3.50 - 4.00
Dampers (all) 3
Bars 7
No camber
Toe 0.05 - 0.25
Brakes 9 - 7

Transmission Max 250 kph
1 2.750
2 1.878
3 1.465
4 1.158
5 0.931
Final 3.575

Drivetrain Torque 12
Acc 60
Brake 20

I did 15 laps on medium tyres using this setup the other night managing 2:05's for the first 5 laps. As the tyres warmed up and fuel started to deplete, times consistently dropped to the 2:04's with a fastest time of 2:03.9xx on the 11th lap. I also tried 10 laps on the harder compound and noticed no significant time losses as I was on the 2:07's (not 2:05's) throughout my run.
I won't be able to join tonight for the first official practice, but will definitely follow the results here tomorrow.
Until then..

Just to clarify guys. This is twice someone's mentioned fuel. Are we simulating it anywhere (practice) because we definitely aren't in race.......are we?:nervous: Swear my gauge stayed at the default 1/3 full mark on both races.

Or did you turn that option on in your own private practice.

Feel free to unleash dunce hat or head banging emote with simple answer.

Dad's birthday today and we're having a few swallies ALREADY (sesh), took half day. So if not tonight I'll see you lovely people tomorrow.👍

Steady midfield spot awaits me. Seasons aims being met......well it's my first true season so every finish is a bonus and to even tow some draft off of some of you for a lap or 2 = Scholesy Happy

I did turn it on in a private practice. What, fuel doesn't deplete in races? And I've already taken part in two of them. If that's the case I'm an arse.:ouch:

OK guys, tonights practice will be from 8.30pm, when we will get to test Soka's set up. Also, got a new lap top today, which seems powerful enough to run my capture card through twitch TV, so tonights practice will be broadcast live. You can watch tonight from the link below.

Woohoo! wish I wasn't getting Scammell wheel nutted/ Batfinked/ Banjaxed right now.

Great fun practice last night. Over the course of the evening, 9 racers joined to put their times in. I have been through the 10 replays, and gathered the times to put on the table. Veloci's time was very impressive, and in clean air.

Sport medium tyre.

Monza is a fast circuit, with lots of straight line speed. We ran a couple of races with the slipstream set to real, rather than weak last night. Tonights practice will see us do the same, and a decision on what we will use will be made depending on whatever gives us closer racing.

On the subject of slip streaming, bump drafting will not be permitted. Whilst this practice can be good for catching up, and getting great lap times, it is also risky.

The live stream seemed to work very well, although there did seem to be a delay of about 60 seconds. Tonights practice will be streamed using another service to see if there is any difference to the delay. In the tests I ran yesterday, JustinTV seemed to show my broadcast earlier then TwitchTV, even though they are the same company.

The lobby will be open from 8.00pm tonight.
