No need to dig deeper, the specs are here. Both cars have been tuned to replicate their real life racing counterparts. The Evora is based on the GTE Enduro, and the NSX is based on the 1994 Kremer racing NSX. Both cars give almost identical lap times at the hands of GC Gary and myself. Tyre choice for this race will be RACING MEDIUM, and RACING HARD, given the heritage of this race. Both have been tested on the medium tyre so far. The results are good.

OK, last night I posted that racers will be split into teams. I have started work on the list, and I am trying to pair everyone to make fair teams, with 1 fast racer, and one not so fast. This is proving difficult, as Will pointed out there are 15 divers registered. These are the teams I have come up with so far.

GTP_CAPT_D.....GC255
SOKAGT.....CANARY_WOOLF
THEEWAR.....NOMAD
COBANI.....ROSENLUNDAREN
JAMMY_REX.....SHOLESY
ADE3210.....NORTHLANDER

This just leaves Weescotman, Dowlin and Third_reign. I didnt want to pair any of these faster guys together, so they may have to enter as privateers, unless we get any late entry's, or any racers drop out.

So now you got the specs guys, its time to discuss with your team mates, which car each of you will use, and decide on team racing colours.

Privateers are free to choose either of the cars, and their own colours.

:ill: whats wrong with sports tyres?

I don't mind flying solo, I will most likely opt for a NSX

Try the NSX on the tyres, and the Evora. If you going for the NSX, you will love it. The Evora is a bit more of an animal, but with a good set up will fast.

This looks awesome, love the sound of the teams doing battle! :)

I've not been very well lately, but on the mend now so hopefully will be more active on the forum and online again.

A few things... you mean evora '09 as theres no 08?... specs need adjusting of both power limiter and added weight? The evora works out at 95.7PL... Ballast weight 72Kg......The NSX comes in at 89.2% power limiter and 4Kg Ballast Weight.... I am just checking to see if thats the figures you guys got also? THANK You both for the time put in to this:cheers:

Without having my game in front of me those sound right. Both the ballast amounts are bang on, that much I know from memory.

P.S Make sure you drill Nomad thoroughly, I want a good race with him 👍

Go on then,I'll be the 16th part of the puzzle.👍

Great to have you aboard Geordie. As you also have in the past shown that you have a lot of pace, you can also enter as a privateer, giving you a free choice on which car you use. That makes 16, and a full grid.

Super stuff, just one more question. Are we doing the 2009 c.d.l.s or the 2013 track?... I need to get going on this.As you know,my team mate is(A legend in his own lounge) :( ..

2013 track will be used, and Gary is correct, just adjust the power limiter and add ballast to achieve the required specs once all the tuning has been applied. Rigidity improvement is optional. I hope to be able to run some practice sessions every night from Monday up until the race.

So that is it gents. All that remains is for those in the teams in the post above, need to decide who will drive which car, and pick a colour scheme for both cars. If you want to also pick a team name aswell, let me know.

This is a team, and individual event, so points will be awarded to each racer, and also to the teams aswell. There will also be additional points available for pole position, and fastest lap.

.

Cheers Ade,I don't get nearly as much practice as I used to so my pace is suffering a bit.Happy to enter as a privateer though and see where I can get up to.
Probably go for the NSX.

Well I managed to join in with the Le Mans practice session last night.... good to get back on the track, had been a while...

....But, looks like we have division one and division two in the speed stakes between Evora and NSX, really don't see which way the Evora went on the straights!

My experience was, when trying to tow down the straights in the NSX, still can't hang on to the Evora, therefore with no chance of overtaking on the straights, and then not close enough when braking to make up any advantage (if there was any) in this area. Just my thoughts from the initial session I took part in!

When we tested the cars, they were run using stock suspension set ups, and were very close in terms of lap times. The Evora did have more straightline speed, but the NSX made up for this through the turns, and was a much more forgiving car to drive. Obviously with some good set ups, a division may appear, or it may not. The idea behind having the 2 cars at realistic racing tunes, is to give us 2 different classes. This way we may well see many battles throughout the race between drivers who are usually at the front end of the race, and those who are at the back of the pack. You also have to factor in heavy damage, and the difference in tyre and fuel consumption over the course of the race.

There is no "divide" Warren ran the evora which was stupid quick, then went into the nsx, which surprise surprise ran the same sort of speed as the evora or quicker. The only thing missing is a decent tune.

Warren did win a race yes, but he also himself said he was about 2 or 3 seconds off his Evora pace.

Perhaps a decent tune is the answer, but it's much easier to overtake on the straights than to ever attempt sending your nose in for a corner here, with heavy damage! But like I say, you couldn't get close enough for a pass from the straight anyway.

That's not so bad, if we have equal number of each car then it might turn into two classes, but it'll still be fun :)

I'll do some tuning. First with the NSX , when I get a decent setup, I'll post it here.
With this track and chosen settings of the room, laptimes will vary hugely. If the Evora is harder to tame, a mistake will cost you dearly. I'd rather have a stable car which is a few miles down on topspeed.
Now we just have to get the NSX stable ...

EDIT: no stable tune found. :dunce: I'll take the Evora as Rosen drives the NSX.

I think I'm leaning towards the Evora myself, just because the custom spoiler looks better on it in my opinion. Will some of you guys be practicing on Sunday? I have not had a run out in the cars yet and thats the only time this weekend that I'll get a chance.

The cars were tuned up in the week by PRR? and shipped off on Sat afternoon.

They arrived at C.D.La S. this morning about 0600.

Engineers gave them a once over, before the heavy tuning and setup work starts in earnest this week. They then handed them over to the two drivers for some reccying, an afternoons smiling for the camera, and a few donuts for the early arriving hardcore at Le Mans.

Check out the PRR press release photo for this event soon!
