OK guys, the countdown to Lemans begins. Tonight I will open a lobby from 8.30pm to get some laps in. I will only be on for just over 1 hour, as I have to get up at 5.00am for work. These sessions we will look at the balance of the cars performance against each other, and if necessary make some adjustments to the tuning set ups.

Also, this event is a bit of a pre-cursor for something else coming up soon. Some of you know about this, so keep yoy hats on for now please. Full details will be revealed on Saturday, after the race.

Sounds very intriguing! Will await this news with interest!

Last nights first runs at Le Sarthe were good fun. Benchmarks were set in each car, with Warren setting a 3:57.053 in the Evora, and Rosen turning in a 4:03.817 in the NSX. In the final race we ran before I had to go, Warren had switched to the NSX to see if he could find a good set up for his team mate, NOMAD. We will wait and see what sort of times can be squeezed out of the NSX, and then decide if we need to balance the cars a bit more.

I will be opening another lobby tonight from 8.30pm, again only for an hour or so. The same as last night, we will concentrate on set ups, and lap times on the RM tyre. Tomorrow we will do some runs on the RH tyre, and also do some heavy damage runs, and Thursday we will do some night races, with heavy damage, and a pit stop.

Cracking second session tonight. Benchmarks will be posted tomorrow.

Please note.

There has been an adjustment to the NSX, to try and bring it more in line with the Evora. Reduction in engine tuning to stage 2, and install racing exhaust and adjust BHP to 390.

The next session tomorrow will include some laps on RH tyre, and heavy damage. Lobby open from 8.30pm.

This is real bad timing for me this week. Work wants blood. I'm not finishing until after 9pm so far.

I'm currently in the middle of installing 5 brand new 6-axis robots. 3 nearly done. With a view to having some advanced training with the Staubli engineer that came with the robots at the end of the week.

This means, if I practice this week I'll be on after 9pm if I get on at all. Knackered so far as 7am start.

Friday I'm hoping to get away early, either 8 or half past.

If I miss quali so be it. But really hoping, if I'm not present by say 9:45-9:55 if the race start could be stalled for 5 to 10 mins?

I'm hoping if I can get away early enough this shouldn't be an issue. Just wondered if needs be I can have a little leeway?

With that in mind, I could do with an Evora tranny if I get no practice at all. Try and get on tonight!?

Cheers guys, sorry. If all goes well this won't matter!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to race on Friday. I got a new job a few weeks ago and they are putting me on nights tomorrow and Friday to see how I do before I go onto them permanently. The good part is that I don't work on Saturdays or Sundays so for future Seasons I should be able to attend them but this Friday is a no go unfortunately. Best of luck to everyone taking part 👍

OK Dowlin, cheers for letting me know, and good luck mate. 👍👍 "The good part is that I don't work on Saturdays or Sundays", This may be handy, as your services may be required after this race. It all depends on who is up for a mega challenge. :sly::sly::sly:

I have been a bit rushed tonight, and havnt had the chance to go through last nights replays, so I have no new benchmarks to post yet. Needless to say the NSX was more competitive with the Evora with the additional tuning. I will confer with Warren later to determine how much of an improvement he thought there was.

I will be on again at 8.30 tonight to do some RH tyre and heavy damage runs

@scholesy1899 . I had the race time planned for a 9.00pm start in my original post, due to the length of the race. I could hold back for maximum of half an hour. Otherwise we would be looking at a finish after midnight, and I am planning on a very late night on Saturday, to watch both Lemans, and the England match. I hope you can make it for then.

OK, guys. some news. Firstly, prizes have been sent, so Warren and Will should be keeping an eye out for the postman this week. Capt_Gary/Den will be receiving his in person at Silverstone. Would be great if we could get him on the podium there for a picture. Haha.

OK, onto some more news. As some of you may be aware, through a few teasers, fire works and date clues, and some cameo appearances at some practice sessions, GC255, and myself have been preparing a special event. So finally we can reveal what it is.

On the eve of this years 24 hours of Lemans, The Sunday Cup, together with The Type R Cup, will be hosting a heavy damage endurance special event.

Full and final car specs will be posted nearer the time, but I can tell you that there will be an equal number of each car available. The event will use time progression to fully capture a full 24 hour race experience. Tyre and fuel wear will be set to fast to try and recreate an accurate amount of pit stops for the duration of the race.

Some of you may remember that we tried this before in the Evora, as a Christmas special in 2012. It was a great success, with Dowlin just missing out on the chequered flag. It was also GC Garys first introduction to Sunday Cup, as he posted the room settings for the day/night cycle for us. Haha, we started the race in the dark that day, but this time we will start in the daylight.

The estimated duration for this event will be approx 2 hours, so we would be looking at a 9.00pm race start time.

Registration is open, but you will not be able to pick your car until we have finalized the full specs.

I got invited to a World Cup viewing party, so I won't make it to the race. Didn't have much time getting settings that work on the in my opinion too grippy racing tyres anyways.

Racing tyres are 🤬 stupid on these cars and way overkill, serious turn-off for me to be honest.

Fair enough Third. If the combos not for you, I understand. Im not prepared to change the tyre choice now, as everyone else who has practiced has got on OK. The tyre choice was chosen because of the nature of the race, and the tunes applied to the cars. Also heavy damage, fast tyre wear and the 24 hour over 2 hours race element were considered. If this isnt for you, thats your call mate, and we will meet again in 500pp club.

Sorry ADE I meant to put 8:45-8:55. We're talking a ten minute delay something like that if at all.

I re read my post and then worked out what you meant.

Shouldn't be an issue though. But I can see a situation where I come blaring over the mic while your all mid quali, that's worse case scenario for me really.

Awesome, I can hold on then. PHEW!

EAT, SLEEP, RACE, REPEAT!

OK guys, last practice tonight before tomorrows 2 hour endurance race. The additional tuning to the NSX seems to have evened things up a little bit, with Will managing a 3:59.xxx last night. The Evora does just have the edge in speed, but the NSX makes up for this in the turns. The Evora also goes through fuel quicker, so pit strategy's will play a big part in this race.

Anyone who missed the additional NSX tuning, here it is again.

Engine tuning stage 2.

Racing exhaust.

BHP set to 390

In true Lemans style, the race tomorrow will feature a rolling start. The procedure for this is as follows.

When the lights go out at the start, the pole sitter will lead the pack around the circuit at 60 mph for the first lap.

Everyone must stay in grid order as we make our way round.

The race will start once racers come out of the final turn, (the last chicane) and onto the start finish straight.

Also guys, please dont forget the mandatory driver change pit stop. This must be carried out between 50 and 70 minutes of the race. Once you enter the pit lane, make your tyre and fuel selection. As your car enters your pit box, and stops, press start on controller/wheel. Your game will pause. You must keep it paused for 4 minutes, before resuming. (It may be a good idea to have a clock nearby for this)

I will be on again tonight for our final practice session at 8.30pm. If I can get on earlier, I will. Pit stops, and night racing will feature in tonights runs.

Doesn't gt6 feature a rolling start option?

Not sure mate, but doing it this way gives the tyres a chance to get a bit of heat into them, and will spread the pack a little bit going into the first turn after the formation lap. This should reduce the risk of first lap accidents.

Ok guys, here is the final drivers briefing. Hopefully I will cover all the relevant points.

This afternoon I have been doing some time testing in the lobby. The race will be set to 2 hours duration with time progression set to 12. This will give us a full 24 hour day/night/day transition. The race start time will be set to 14.00.

Tyres are racing medium and racing hard. You must use both compounds in the race. You must use the racing mediums for a minimum of 5 laps.

Damage will be set to heavy. Please be careful. If you do cause someone to have an accident, you must wait for that driver to rejoin the race, and take back their position, regardless of how many positions will be lost by waiting.

In the event of causing someone damage which warrants a pit stop ( this should be indicated by the car in question driving much slower/erratically ) you must sty behind that car, and follow them into the pits, even if you dont need to pit yourself.

Keep inside the track boundaries.

Kurbs through ALL chicanes. 2 wheels ON the kurb through all of these.

The right hand turn at the end of Mulsanne has a white line to the left of it. Keep 2 wheels inside that white line when taking the turn.

When exiting Porsche curves, the final left hander has some rumble strips just inside the kurb to the right. Keep 2 wheels on that kurb, and as you enter the straight, keep 2 wheels inside the white line on the right.

Mandatory driver change pit stop.

This must be carried out between 50 and 70 minutes of the race. Once you enter the pit lane, make your tyre and fuel selection. Tyre and fuel depletion will be set to fast, so dont forget to keep an eye on your fuel level.

Finally guys, enjoy yourselves.

The lobby will be open from 8.00pm. Qualifying will start at 9.00pm with the race start at 9.15pm.

Normal lobby rules apply, reboot ps3, clear cache, and mics off for the race.
