It's an honour to participate in this well organized series! Thank you Ade and stewards! I'm mostly cannon-fodder round the tracks but I'm slowly picking up speed and most important I'm enjoying myself! :)

I'm looking forward to tonights race! I haven't done much practice on this track and I'm way slower than the fast and furious up front, but I have a two step tactics: go slow and no errors and hope for the best. I have no problem with the first step... :)

To my advantage I have done irl practice this weekend with a red coupé! The engine is midmounted and handles very well, particulary in sharp bends.

Look at the picture and give me your best guess of what car it is!

Thanks for the kind words Rosen, I am so pleased that everyone has enjoyed my series. 👍👍👍

My guess would be a Fiat 500.

Oh, forgot the picture...

Rosen, are you running low or high downforce on that?

Ade, thanks for this well organized series. Good idea with the increasing power 👍. It will probably be pretty exciting to see who becomes the champion tonight, and of course who wins this last race.

One more thing, I have to advertise my Cobra Cup for next Wednesday, check it out here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=253177

Well gentlemen, The final race in The Sunday Cup is over. The turn out was good with 11 racers ready to do battle in this last race, but Dowlin suffered some gearbox problems and couldnt make it to the grid, so that left 10 of us. The pressure was on both Cobani and Jamesy going into this race with one point separating them at the top of the leader board.

The Sunday Cup race 8 provisional results.

1st...JAMESYBOGRAT
2nd...COBANI
3rd...THIRD_REIGN
4th...COBRIUS
5th...GOODWOLF_
6th...ADE3210
7th...R063R_GL4560W
8th...ROSENLUNDAREN
9th...PSN-OMNIUSALX
10th...TROTTERLOVER79

Well done to Jamesy, Cobani and Third_reign on their podiums, and to everyone else who raced in this series and helped make it fantastic.

Firstly i must say a great big thank you to ADE for the time and dedication he put into this series:tup:

I'll second everyone's thoughts!

Finding like-minded GT5 racers in the first place is hard enough, but to find a group as good as the one's I've raced triples the value of GT5 as a game!

I knew when I first ventured onto GT5 online, this was the place I needed to join, and since then GTP has opened the door to some of the best online racing I've ever played. So much so, I think if it wasn't for this place I don't think we'd have ever have had the SC or any other race series for that matter.

It proves if you stick at it and build something up, the people will come and I'm glad we all did 👍

Onwards and upwards racers!

First off Ade, I am terribly sorry for missing tonights season finale. You have no idea how gutted I was about this. The last few days my connection has been acting up and i was hoping I could make it through tonight without much incident but as you know, it didn't. It hasn't been this bad since i tried to join you in the Madrid Mini Madness but had pretty much the exact same problem.

But nonetheless I'm glad you guys had fun tonight and congratulations to Jamesybograt for his victory.

Secondly, my Elise was very upset after not getting to appear in Omnius' group photo...

And finally i'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Ade and also to Omnius. As some of you may know, this was the first time I've been involved in a racing series through GTPlanet. I met most of you through Mini Madness in London which was my first event which led to me getting an invitation from Omnius and later another invitation to The Sunday Cup. And I have to say guys, I've had a blast racing with you guys, I hope i've made a few friends and not just names on my playstations ''friends list'' and I hope, whatever happens regarding the future of any of these racing series that we can still have a few races every now and then.

Thanks very much for an awesome trio of events Ade and Omnius, you guys RULE! 👍 👍 👍

Also gutted.......and I was even there! My niece's 2nd birthday is this week & she was going to bed just as I was finishing racing last night so I muted the sound as she unwrapped my presents, then I turn round to the screen again to see everyone lining up :(

I really loved the series and racing with all of you. The organization was great and that's what I saw when I signed up as a new member of gtplanet. The banner looked great, rules were well thought out and written so I new I won't be sorry if I joined. It turned out better than all of my expectations. It was fun and the competition was great. I hope we'll race together in the future.

Well, that was The Sunday Cup. 8 races over 15 weeks. We had 15 participants in total over the season. Some we saw for only a handful of races, some we saw at every race, some that missed a few, but came back for more and some who joined us late, but had a huge impact on the series. Thanks to all of you.

Last nights race for me was intense. After a good start I managed to hold P5 until I had a spin on lap 2, and was left in P8. I had Goodwolf hot on my heels for the next few laps, and then Omnius made a mistake, and I was then behind Rosen. I got passed Rosen on lap 4, and spent the next 5 laps chasing R063R, until I pitted on lap 9. The pitstop was clean, but I had to work my way through the field. On lap 14 I passed R063R in the pits, and continued in 5th place, with Goodwolf all over me. It was an epic battle, and I could not shake him off. In the last lap I overcooked it at spoon, and ended up in the sand. Goodwolf took the position, and I finished 6th.

Now to the Final results of The Sunday Cup...

I'm grinning from ear to ear. Thank you so much! I will have my official race report ready later this week and in that I will thank every single driver again for their fairplay and respect they have shown. See you soon and definately 'Race you soon!'

Have to say, I'm pretty chuffed with my 9th considering I was only able to compete in half of the races 👍

Sunday Cup racers, the next few weeks will be spent testing, but I would like to give you a time scale for when it will begin again...

All prizes have been shipped, so you should receive them next week.👍

Any change of a sneak peak in the comings weeks?

I may post a small teaser on Sunday evening to see what you think, before the full car spec reveal next Sunday.

OK, as promised I will share with you all a little teaser of what is coming up next in The Sunday Cup. I did have a plan that I discussed with Omnius, but that has been put on ice for now. I know you all enjoyed the Elise's, and after listening to some feedback, the Elise is not sacked off just yet. Instead we are going to park our 16 year old S1 Elise's in the garage, and move into the 21st century. As you know, I tried to make season 1 as real to life as possible, and season 2 will be the same. The newest Lotus Elise is the 2012 Elise S, but we cant use that as its not in the game, so I have tried to reproduce the 2008 Elise SC. We cant put superchargers on the Elise, so the use of turbo's will replace this. Please check out this link, and take note of the BHP (and the nice pictures of Cobani's car) Full car specs and race calender will be revealed before next Sunday.

Season 2 will follow the same regulations as before, with one exception. There will be a change to the tyre/pitstop regs. Gone are the Racing Hard tyres, and in are the sports tyres.

TYREOPTION.png

My testing has included track and tyre selection, and there will be a combination of real world circuits, and GT circuits.

Thank you for your time gentlemen, I hope this is enough of a teaser to keep your interest.
