Sunday Cup racers, This coming Sunday will see us only 4 weeks away from the start of the new season. We know the car, the tracks and the new tyre/pit stop regs.

This coming Sunday will also see massive celebrations across the UK for The Queens Diamond Jubilee. 60 years.

The Sunday Cup has its own celebrations in mind as well, with a 60 mile Exhibition race in the coming seasons car. We cant race in London as it will be far to busy with Jubilee revelers, so the venue for this special race will be Cape Ring Inside.

This race is an exhibition race only, and there will be no points or prizes. It will have no reflection at all on the coming championship series.

The normal Sunday Cup regulations will be followed including the new tyre rules. Please see rules in OP.

Phew, I am so glad it came. ROYAL MAIL, JUBILEE, must be fate.

Had a few runs around Cape ring inside tonight on the pad, on both medium and soft sport tyres. This track is a hell of a lot of fun in our new cars.

Let's go back a few weeks (yes it's been that long!).
Cobani leads Jamesy by one point, one race to go ...

A lot of tension just before the lights go out for the final race of the season ...

'Plan A': "Lead and Leave" is out of the window as soon as Jamesy gets a better start ...

Jamesy leads Cobani, Third, Cobrius and Ade ...

The whole pack through the Esses ...

'Plan B' in effect: Mirror Jamesy as the race developes and see if we can break away ...

The leaders were increasing their lead by a second a lap ...

Jamesy was giving his all, as the pace was blinding ...

The championship battle was indeed just between the pointsleaders ...

One little moment of Jamesy down the backstraight, meant for Cobani to go to 'Plan C': Ease off ...

Final pitstop about to happen, no shortage on pitcrews ...

Flying in for the last time ...

Empty road ahead as Jamesy was going for the win ...

No pressure from behind because of the gap we created in the beginning ...

Just over 4 weeks until season 2, and a Jubilee taster at the weekend should keep everyone excited I hope.

Also here is the new Sunday Cup driver standings table that you will be seeing every couple of weeks. Its blank at the moment, but its not too long until we will see some points on the table.

Yes, thanks Ade.

I always like to do that because it's the number you earned and the number you'll fight for. It represents you, your skill and the position in the race that you'll try to defend. And when you have numbers like Cobani, Jamesy and Cobrius you'll know who to watch out for and challenge.
