Interesting the way the race unfolded. I could just about see the leader's exiting the pits about 12 second's ahead of me. I was about a minute down on the leader's after my pitstop.

SoKa and I lost a lot of time after we had a "moment" at turn 1 on lap 30. This enabled Will and Bo to pass us and would explain the time discrepency when we exited the pits starting lap 34.

My apologies to @scholesy1899 @Captain Roh and anyone else who had problems with my racing. I promise I was trying my best to keep out of the way, but sadly my best isn't very good yet. I take your comments on board though in the constructive spirit they were intended, and assure you I'll do better next time!

Edit: I saved the race replay, although I haven't watched it yet, however I will do so, mainly with a view to seeing where my own racecraft was lacking when I got in the way of folk, the better to understand where I went wrong, and to avoid doing it again.

I could see something had happened on the map and a bit of a gap opened in the leading bunch but it closed back up pretty quick. Not having someone in my rear view mirror (or in front of me) all the time gave me a bit of an advantage, i think.

That's all you can do 👍 everyone here will help if they can. By breeding a better standard of competition, we can all get better.

Great graphics Ade, the results table though, it was Bo who finished second.............I blame the orange juice!

All correct now. Cutting and pasting on the spreadsheet, and making sure all the info in the rows is correct can sometimes take some time. I usually write everything down, and transfer it from my notes to the PC, but this time I took pics of the screen, and used them. Oh, and it was apple juice last night.;)

We all had to start somewhere mate and I think that you are fortunate enough to have picked a nice friendly club to begin your virtual racing career. Like I said before, Sunday Cup has drivers of all skill levels, which makes the racing good for everyone. Gary is right in what he says above in that there are plenty of guys here who are willing to help a fellow racer improve his racing experience. 👍👍👍

Very true every word, I've had loads of help. Probably the best club here.

My performance was abit of a Disappointment to me. The plan was to get more track time Before the race but real life is real life... The week before the race I broke into the 1.18 and Yeah, now I got it! But no, not really and I didn't find the touch again.

If my performance was bad, I had equally loads of fun! Trying to chase down GC, Nomad and SuperGrover, gained some teenth here and there then came T1 and a slide there was very costly. I pitted two times, the last with only about 8 laps left but fresh tires and some fuel did the last laps more drivable and it paid off - passed a spun out SuperG and Nomad who was suffering a empty tank.

And Shin, I'm sorry that we didn't worked out the lapping in a better way. I had you in my mirror and thought that the sharp bend after the tunnel should be a good place to pass so I went to the left to make way for you on the inside and yes, you came like a rocket and ended up in the gravel. So I Think my bad was that I took the raceline instead of leave that to you. Or I could have choosed Another place. :)

Looking forward to Tsukuba and the fifth season! :)

It isn't a Lotus, but it is a Mighty Miata! Set to fly the SCAR banner in this weekends Daytona 24 support race, we hope you get a chance to follow our progress on the live stream. Myself and Ade are making our Enduro debut so fingers crossed we can make it a good one :) Any help you could offer us this week would be greatly appreciated, there are a few lobby procedures we need to get our head around before we attempt to take on the world :D

As Shin has said above, we will be popping our enduro cherry this Saturday in the D24 support race.

Also this coming Saturday GC Gary and his team will be taking on the full 24 hours of Daytona.

Any support that any of you can give us will be very well received, whether its helping us out at practice for both the events, or joining in the facebook team comms, which is now live. If you would like to be included in the team comms, please either post in here, or message Gary, myself or any of the usual members to be included. Previous events have been a blast and the support on there does spur everyone on.

Both Shin and myself need to acquaint ourselves with the procedures of an endurance event, as well as getting some track time in. We have both put in some laps this week, and our times are looking good.

We will be racing in the Mazda Roadster touring car. Completely stock, apart from an oil change and running at 195 BHP.

Garys team will be in the GT500 Honda. The following cars they will be up against are below.

Each cars spec is as follows:

Deltawing Nissan. 295bhp 515kg
Deltawing aer 295bhp 535kg
Courage C60 Peugeot 485bhp 950kg

We will be practicing tomorrow evening. Club rooms may be used, so keep an eye on the thread for when a lobby will be open.

Sunday Cup 1st official Tsukuba practice will be on Saturday evening, and will from 8.00pm until late and then again on Sunday. I will run an additional practice session next week to make up for this.

Good luck to everyone involved in the Sunday Cup Affiliated Racers (S.C.A.R) entry's into Today's GTPlanet Daytona 24 hours and the Mighty Miata support race. Both races will be streamed live on the GTPlanet You Tube channel. Details available HERE.

If any of you would like to show your support in the team comms instant chat on facebook, let any of us know, and we will add you to the conversation. Your support is always very well received.

Sunday Cup race 1 first official practice at Tsukuba will start tonight from 8.00pm.

Thank you.

Ade.

Great first practice tonight. A little low on numbers, with only 5 of us turning in times, but that is to be expected with the GTPlanet Endurance event going on.

Getting into the 07s was the order of the evening, and Will managed to blast a very low entry. Capt_D also hit the target time of the night. Times will be posted tomorrow after I have viewed the replays.

Practice will resume tomorrow, but I will still expect low numbers due to the team racing at Daytona not being finished until 7.00pm tomorrow.

Good luck team SCAR Honda R.

Clearly I'm going to need to alter my techniques, because in order to stay in front (the delights of the reverse grid) I'm being mullered in the braking zones into the slower corners. I thought I'd found how to drive the Elise but evidently I haven't - yet - and the hairpins at Tsukuba are presenting a real challenge to me! I figured I wasn't doing too badly in the mid 1.08's then Will and Gary started hitting the low 1.07's and I knew I was in trouble! Even Paul came along and whupped my sorry ass. Then I kept pushing too hard and making silly mistakes. Still, it was fun, and good practice just in case I make the cut next Sunday!

Also, a great performance by Shin, then Ade in the Mighty Miata - I watched the whole race on live stream, and it was awesome stuff - you should both be very proud of your achievements!

Result times from last nights official practice at Tsukuba.

Tsukuba times

Weescotman sets the first benchmark, with a 1:07.380. There were only 5 for practice, as this weekend GTPlanet 24 hour endurance race at Daytona is still ongoing.

Tonight will be 2nd practice, but I do expect numbers to be quite low, as the enduro doesnt finish until 7.00pm.

Lobby will be open from 8.00pm

Well the Daytona 24 comes to an end. Fantastic racing from the SCAR Honda R team. Well done guys. Also massive thanks to Shin_Roh for being my team mate in the support race. Horrendous conditions for the start, but he held it together. The results from both teams will be published some time next week.

Sunday Cup practice lobby will be open at 8.00pm

Hi guys, thx for the racing tonight, first time out in the Elisa and really enjoyed it, pleased to get a couple of laps into the 1.07's, but still struggling with that final corner consistently... But it was only my first run...

Sorry I missed the pre-season event - gutting! - I've had a lot going on lately though (life's been a bit stressful to be honest) and I didn't even know it was happening, until after the event... Need to start getting involved on this forum again.

Catch you sometime next weekend all being well.

Busy little practice session saw more racers than I expected last night. 12 took to the track over the course of the evening, and the times came down as expected. Soka GT took the purple time from Weescotman, but only by 2 100ths of a second. With many racers into the 07s now, could someone smash into the 06s? We will find out this coming weekend.

From these times set, I am pleased to be able to confirm the lap count for this coming Sunday.

Official practice will resume on Thursday from 8.00pm. (As we did miss a session on Friday due to the endurance race practice)

Also guys, I would like to bring your attention to the race calendar. I have re jigged a few of the dates. This is so that there are no clashes with qualifying and races for the remaining 2 endurance races that team S.C.A.R has entrys in, whilst the season runs.

This means that there will be a 2 races with a 3 week break and 2 races with 1 week break between them. The new calendar is below, as well as on the OP. There a fully documented details of all date changed and reason in the OP.

Shouldn't Cpt Gary be top of the leaderboard? He's a full minute faster than everyone else! Lol. Enjoyed practice last night. Brought down my time after official practice had ended, as did a few others! Will try and replicate the performance on thursday! :)

It's going to be an amazing season. I'm particularly looking forward to trying out the Elise at the A1 Ring (because I can't bring myself to call it Red Bull Ring and by the way the corners are still Powerhorse, Gösser, Lauda, Jochen Rindt etc I mean what sort of a name for a corner is Red Bull Mobile?) and the awesome Spa - my two favourite circuits. But what am I going to do after 24 May??

Fingers crossed I'll have learnt how to avoid getting in people's way by Brands, that's going to be a hectic congestion fest with 16 cars charging round!

Corrected, haha. Im sure there something wrong with my finger, or keyboard.

I'm a bit under the weather at the mo, see how I am Thursday. Watched support race and Daytona from the comfort of my death bed. Another great showing from the boys. I'm getting a little itch to get more involved in this down the line if schedule permits.

On the stream AJ commented (may have been pre-record from Willow test) on how 'professional' the Lotus Club GT/S.C.A.R./Sunday Cup team is.

Absolutely fantastic, I'll try to support more of these off shoots in future, let's see how SC5 goes first though.

If you thought Daytona was good wait till you see the rest of them where our cars will preform better, as I've said before I want to do bathhurst 12hr, and the ring 24hr, then I'll have completed my dream enduro series. This frees me up for some support races if there's a spare spot.

As for the Hsv, it's a great car to drive, as Gc has said it doesn't want to kill you as the other GT500 cars do.
