OK guys. So we have reached the halfway point in this series. Never before has it been such a tight championship at this point for the top 3 places. Below are the top 3 point standings at the midway point from previous seasons.

SC4

CAPT D 56 POINTS
WEESCOTMAN 47 PONITS
COBANI 45 POINTS

SC RELOADED

CAPT D 90 POINTS
THIRD REIGN 83 POINTS
GOODWOLF 78 POINTS

SC3

HELLRAZOR 62 POINTS
CAPT D 54 POINTS
COBANI 47 POINTS

SC2

COBANI 61 POINTS
COBRIUS 46 POINTS
GOODWOLF 45 POINTS

SC1

COBANI 48 POINTS
JAMESYBOGRAT 43 POINTS
COBRIUS 36 POINTS

So now we move onto Monza and the second half of the championship.

This race will be very interesting.

Last years winner Jammyrex will be wanting to see if he can repeat last years win.

Theewar will be wanting revenge.

Champion Capt D will be wanting to grab back some points and close the gap back up following his last lap fuel misjudgment at Motegi.

Soka will be using his new wheel, and will be eager for top points again.

Will will be after another top step to increase his 1 point lead at the top of the standings.

Cobani will be back.

Practice will begin this Friday from 8.30pm BST and during the practice sessions we will go over track limits before the race on 19th.

Also, NOMAD will be racing using Damons account to see if this fixes his DC issues. We want to try this, as Paul lives in France but uses a UK PSN, whereas Damons account is french and he doesnt seem to suffer from these DCs as Paul does.

HEEELLOOO!!!

Motegi. Here I opted to start on CS tyres for a change and make for the pits at the end of lap twelve for SH tyres and fuel to the end, or so I thought! I had a scrappy first corner after the start but made steady progress to gain on others as they engaged in their own battles. Something should have alerted me when I was the only one to pit, that perhaps my strategy was flawed. :dunce: Later in the race my "master stroke" looked to be paying dividends as I was closing in on the front runners now on their CS tyres. I attained the heady heights of third place before Warren, after a few laps great battling got by and on to a drive of the day win. Lap 37 and my fuel is in the red and I realize I could be in trouble. I ease the pace just enough to stay ahead of Will but am out of fuel on the last lap.:banghead:

Congratulations to Warren on the win and oh so close Jammy for second. Well done Dudo, third place, well deserved.

Motegi moments:

My gear down paddle stuck on so mine was re packaged and sent back. Awaiting replacement :grumpy: In the meantime old faithful is back out and the forces are A LOT less.

AWESOME pics Gary. Another cracking set of race shots.

Well, it was beginning to seem a bit quiet on the Lotus facebook page, but today we got an excellent mid season write up which included the driver standings after 4 races and 3 of Bos Pics of the day. Great stuff.

FB.PNG

And it didnt stop there, with the first news on a prize. One of the top 3 at the end of the season will receive an officially licensed Lotus Exige 8 GB USB flash drive. ( Capt D won one of these last year ) More prizes will be announced when I get news.

Motegi Race day and quali is done.I went CS and felt I had good pace on them, not against the SH,but against the other CS runners which half the grid went for. The lights go green and its a good start.

Twin Ring Motegi East Course_1.jpg

First turn and its tight at the front but my attention is on the drivers to my left and the two just at my rear.Ive made up some places and Its time to try and hold on to them in and out of the first turn.......

Twin Ring Motegi East Course_2.jpg

Turn two and just in front of Ade who is running the SH tyre,There could be trouble ahead.I knew Ade would get by me being on the better rubber and the heat he was putting on me as soon as I passed him,It was now about where and how it went down, without me dropping more places.

Lap two and its about to go down just before the 2nd underpass,Ade has the inside and ive got other things on my mind, A Mr Megg who is not very far away from the change over point.

With the 3 guys behind me now keeping each other really busy and Ade now clear. Its time to push on without over pushing the car and tyres.Had I a Plan?...Had I ..... 🤬 ....but Found myself in a Good place. It was a catch the Pigeon moment and I was the Pigeon.....

16 Laps later, now on SH and with the Cpt just rolling by me after making his stop a lot sooner,it was part two of my race,No not at all surprised to see the Cpt but it did mean I had to push even more for the last stage of the Race.

Twin Ring Motegi East Course_10.jpg

Many Many laps later and Still behind the Cpt.. :dopey: .. The hard work of getting by the front Runners had begun,Not an easy Job when you take into account the tallent of the drivers in this Championship.

Twisting my Mellow Man...... Still behind the Cpt! but still moving forward and I think things could change very soon as I am now a lot closer to the Cpt and on fresher tyres at this point,ok its only four or five laps worth of better but it could be just what I need to finish in front of him.Not knowing at this point what I know now.

The 2nd underpass has been kind to me today.Another Fantastic Track/Car Combo Ade 👍 ...... Is that Jammy just on the other side of the underpass.... 🤬 Could I at least get near enough to take his mind off things,my car still felt really good and there would be 1 and a bit laps left to make up the ground from where I was right now.Like I said, the 2nd underpass was good to me today!!! Hello Mr Jammy,Fancy meeting you here.
Twin Ring Motegi East Course_23.jpg

This was it and still feeling good in my car I went for Gold.

Fantastic race and win Warren, may there be more like this one. Very good looking pics also. Great pace by Jammy, keep it up mate, there is another great battle coming up at Monza. As for Dudo, excellent job, I knew I had it coming.
Also, my condolences to Cpt D.
Not much to say about my race, I was sweating like a pig trying not to suck, sorry for any bumps I was lacking control of the car. Changes in track position during the race made for a thoroughly enjoyable race though.
I cannot describe how much I want to race you all at Monza. New wheel feels amazing. See you tonight!

Can we default gearbox at our own discretion, or are we going to opt for the same routine defaulting it?
What I've done so far is I've stripped the engine, defaulted the gearbox, then added everything again. Top speed is 226 - 227 just before I hit the breaks without hitting the rev limiter. Engine tops after half fuel tank.

The same routine please. Take off all power upgrades so you are left with just the 6 speed box and soft or hard suspension. Then press default on gearbox settings. When that is done add all the upgrades listed in the graphic and do not default the box.

Lobby will be open from 8.30pm.

Thanks! It was an epic race! I'm really happy that I'm finding some form & getting more competitive now...

Really enjoyed the Monza practice tonight, nice racing everyone. I started to find my feet towards the end of the session and had a great battle with Soka in that last race.

Great first practice at Monza last night with 9 on track. Before I post the times though I will go over the upgrades again as there did seem to be a bit of confusion regarding setting the gearbox back to default.

So please follow theses steps. (if your car is still set up from the last race)

1. Return the gearbox to its default setting. To do this remove the sports exhaust, so the car only has the 6 speed gearbox and either sports hard or soft suspension. (if you have already put all the new upgrades on remove them so just the 6 speed box and suspension remains)

2. In gearbox settings reset the box to default. It should look like the image below.

gearbox 1.jpg

3. Add the upgrades in the table below.

RACE 5 UPGRADES.PNG

4. Add the ballast to get to 900KGs and adjust power limiter to 98.5 to get 217 BHP.

IMPORTANT.

OK, onto last night. The extra power has certainly made the car a lot more lively. A bit too lively on the back end to be honest, even with the SM tyre. After we ran the races last night, I mentioned allowing the use of the LSD to stop the back end from stepping out. The general consensus in the lobby was that this would be a good idea and that this is what the car needed. So I looked into this today, and although this is not a standard part, it is an option to buy at Elise Shop. (Which is where I have done most of my research regarding after market sports parts)

So in addition to the upgrades in the table, please also add the fully customizable LSD to your cars.

I have updated the upgrade table to reflect this below.

Onto last nights times. Jammy managed to top the table at Monza, setting his fastest lap on the final race of the night with Soka only 7/1000ths behind.

Tonight is GCs 500pp event at Brands Hatch. Details are HERE.

Monza practice will resume afterwards.

Good little practice session last night after 500pp club. With 7 on track in the first runs using the customizable diff and all 7 bettered their previous times. Weescotman tops the leaderboard with the first time set in the 04s. Tonight will see more of the same, with 5 lap runs using the SM tyre. Lobby will be open from 8.00pm.

Awesome Sunday practice with 10 racers turning in times and some super close racing. PBs were smashed again, with Capt D getting into the 04s and Theewar almost there to, knocking Jammy down into 4th on the leader board. Times are really beginning to tumble now as we get used to the combo. The next practice session will be on Friday, when we will do some more 5 lap SM races and some 8 lap pit stop/tyre change runs.

Also, I mentioned before that we would go through the track limits before the race next Sunday. Monza will provide some great close racing, but there are limits to the track that we must stick to. The chicanes in particular must be taken with care. In the heat of close door to door racing, sometimes this will be unavoidable, and they may be unintentionally cut. However please try to do your best to avoid cutting the turns. 2 wheel on the track at all times, with the curb considered to be part of the track. The graphic below details the track limits for Retifilo, Roggia and Ascari.

I've been compiling the monthly quiz (British Legion Club) for a couple of weeks, as well as other stuff. Each team has to do it.

It's tonight and I'm also quiz master, so will get some practice for the rest of the week.

I was hoping to put in extreme amounts of practice, work out strategies and generally see improvement this time round because I knew this would be one of the best seasons ever, but lots of things have stunted that.
But it's great to see improvements from nearly every driver. This is why I had a plan, because if you stand still!.........

But that just means life must be good at the mo.

Laters chaps, great photos (me facing the right way on track!) and race reports. I never remember the minutiae of a race, its all a blur, but you know why that is. Exhale!

Updated times from last nights practice are below. Another great session with 10 on track and still the times came down for some. Soka showed his pace by setting the fastest lap so far, but Weescotman responded in the same race with a time just 3/1000ths off Sokas benchmark.

OK. Im not sure if I will be around tonight, as its Mrs 3210's birthday early next week and I think she has plans for going out today/tonight. If anyone wishes to open a practice lobby for this evening that would be great and I will join if I am home early enough.

If I could be consistent then you might need to worry, but my guess is I'll still be that dot in your rear view mirror! .....one of these days though...
Go Alistair 👍👍👍
Looks like I'll have my work cut out for me Sunday.

I won't be able to step in this time. Sorry. My brother is over for the weekend.

As expected I didnt make it home for practice. An 80s evening at the local and I managed to remain Jagermeister free, so the hangover isnt too bad. Unfortunately I cant say the same for the better half. Haha.

So its race day again. Usual procedure. The lap count is 32, which should take us just over the hour mark, so fuel strategy's will come into play again.

I'm at the BTCC today at Donington, enjoying a super day's racing.... hoping the traffic queues getting out of the circuit will be kind to me later so I can get back in decent time for SC. The final BTCC race is at 17.17, hopefully get back to car for just gone 6. Half an hour to get out of the car park and 2 hours to get home! Fingers crossed.

Well done guys for another great display of racing at Monza. Usual suspects on the podium I see, congratulations to all three. I'll be waiting for pictures to get a feel of what happened in the second half of the race. Didn't turn out to be a great race for me though, with a good amount of inconsistency and a little bit of bad luck. Truth is I didn't feel very well with my rear left tire after the first 6 - 7 laps where I was pushing hard to correct a mistake on the very first corner of the race. Paid the price for that with a big off on the exit of parabolica. A repeat of last year's race I thought, only to get dc'ed a few laps later, which ended any hopes for a come back and a shot for the top five maybe. A little disappointed I guess, but happy to see Will is beginning to run away with the championship. A very deserved win tonight which goes in line with the great effort he's put in this season.👍
I guess I have to wait a bit longer to celebrate a win using the new wheel...
