The Things That Annoy You

I've gotten gold in all of them since week 1.

That is not how the traditional "Arcade" racing titles of the past worked, upon which this mode is based.
Also, in the State of Play video the record distance is displayed as over 7500 miles... You can see it here:

That was most likely a beta game play footage, a bug or who knows.
The game does till some what act like old school checkpoint racing as if you run out of beats you lose.

It just gives you a time limit as well, this time limit can be seen as the "Track Limit" as those old school check point racing games normally were point to point based.

But since this is on a track, the song is the Limit

Since I mentioned it, I took a couple of clips that show some examples of really bad pop-ins - GT7 on PS5:

Brands hatch - check at around 06:00 the sidetrack props suddenly popping in are really distracting and right in front of your face:

Similarly, Tokyo Expressway check the whole building in front of you changing LOD:

There is also an awful pop-in in Mount Panorama at the beginning of the track where you see the protective bars on the left side of the track when driving past the pits that appear part by part..

Also, I think everyone has noticed some important car details popping it only when they are really close to you - some of them for example include colors, and suddenly appearing looks really bad, they should probably fine-tune per vehicle to make the transitions, well... less awful.

Blue flags are just for show. If you've ever lapped anyone you'll know the game will show the blue flags, indicating to back-markers that they must pull aside and let you pass, however AI cars continue to follow the racing line which often results in them blocking you.
This, man that 30lap at Tsubaka was annoying as hell, sliding around in a downpour, while trying to gain on the leader who is 30s ahead and being blocked by the slow ass AI.

I have two which I've posted in other forums and haven't seen from anyone else so far on here...

1. The missing 'Car Record' delta on the MFD, as opposed to Session Best. Without it you can't see your best sectors from your best-ever lap and thus where you need to improve. Also useful for when a race combination appears again and you see your historical race pace.

2. Apparently the only mode when you can save an interesting freeze frame as your replay preview using 'Set as Thumbnail' is licence tests and challenges... What a jip. So for a second GT game running I'm going to to have hundreds of haphazardly organised replays (worse than in GT Sport, actually, as they also removed the folders option!)

I discovered a few more annoying things in the livery editor:
-You can't change the texture of individual decals
-You can't group decals
-Not enough texture options for decals

It annoys me very much that in one lap magic you have to wait X seconds before start. It is extremely annoying when you have to restart it and wait another 40 or 60 seconds 🤬
This is what got me to stop playing missions. I don't feel like having the game waste my time when these are exactly the same as other chase events, just with a grid start. All they needed to do was set it up with a rolling start and a large gap like... 90% of the existing races in the game.

It would be nice if they sped up the game between starts
Here i got lucky.

Here not so.

For the first one, they did indicate
No excuses for second one.
Sarah is pretty much "Oh Yeah" from GT4 after a mission failure.

The fact that MR cars handle like garbage off the lot. It's a virtual requirement to add ballast, more front braking, and the adjustable diff for max rear stability under braking.

Never driven a group three car in real life, but I just can't imagine they handle as bad as, say, the Audi Evo. What a POS. I hate that car and hate the fact I had to use it in the Trial Mtn Circuit Experience and hate the fact I couldn't do anything about its **** handling since there is no tuning allow.

That useless car image which shows up on the right is even more annoying when it's a single-make event.
Thinking about it, they could include some useful info there. Maybe player SR/DR, or AI tyre choice. Something which actually benefits the user in some way.

  1. Not being able to sell cars
  2. Not being able to change cars from most of the screens
  3. Not being able to paint a car without having to create and save a livery
  4. Having to apply a livery to be able to share it
  5. Liveries showing up empty for no reason while editing
  6. No UDP telemetry
  7. No proper cockpit view settings
  8. No easy way to track your progress on circuit experiences
  9. Having to press a ton of buttons to change between sections in circuit experiences and licenses tests
  10. The distribution of items on the Tuning Shop (it's a mess)
  11. No way to inspect a car from your garage without switching to it and returning to the previous screen
  12. No way to disable certain music tracks for the BMG
  13. No qualify in offline races
  14. Not having SVG gradients working for pretty much all of the common apps (Illustrator, Affinity Designer, etc)
  15. Camera projection on the livery editor not acting exactly as a camera projection
  16. Inconsistent UV scaling for suits
  17. Not having access to the whole UV of suits
  18. Not having the lap times and data from the people you follow showing up unless you add them as a friend
  19. Night races only on selected tracks
  20. Penalties on Sport mode are still a mess

One thing that annoys me to no end is when you buy a paint chip it doesn't let you how it looks on your current car but it uses sample cars. I don't care how it looks on a Supra I would like to preview it on my current car. It may look on the sample cars but terrible on your car. Like I said it is a little thing but on most racing games you see the color on your current car and not a sample car

When the race is starting and you're sitting in the car, and right as the last light is going out the car (still under AI control) is right at the top of its rev range... as soon as we go green I hit upshift but so did the computer so now it double upshifted so I have to downshift; other times it doesn't upshift and it's bouncing off the limiter.

Minor annoyance but it seems to happen a lot

Ohhh yeah! This annoys the hell out of me. We should at least have the option to change the light condition on the there like we do no the Livery Editor preview.

Hahahaha, that is utter crap indeed! The worst part is that it happens a lot on circuit experiences where .001 makes a real difference.

Apparently you can get track limits penalties in Circuit Experience that don't immediately fail your lap. The kerbs on the entrance to the final turn at Red Bull Ring were the culprit, somehow?

Yeah, it's strange. Thinking I just managed to stay within the boundaries and then... .5 second penalty.

Why not just fail me then?

I had this a few times in license tests too.

I really hate how the AI ignore blueflags and drive like you dont exist(A trait the AI in GT1 had).

I was 15seconds behind the leader with <1minute left on the MX-5 Endurance, was on inters and just pitted to switch to slicks, while I was on slicks, As I am passing the AI in last, he taps me on to the wet part of the track.
That was 1hr down the drain as I would've passed the AI if that didn't happen.

Also the AI seem to be able to drive fast with the wrong tires.
A huge downpour, AI on inters still making laps faster than me with full wets and I am at the PP limit.

I had this a few times in license tests too.
I have had this on A-10
I was like WTF?
If I get a penalty, why not fail me

People that do dirty stuff in a race, like swerving to block on the straights... & Then you go to trash them in messages, & they have their privacy settings preventing messages or friend requests to then message.

Those people are scum, avoiding the rightful consequences of their disgraceful actions.

1. No proper bonnet cam
2. Too many button presses to change car/apply liveries etc.
3. Why can’t we turn suggested gear OFF when using auto transmission?
4. The animation for 'wash car' sucks. Gimme the spinny car thing.
5. The car wash animation guy is using a SPONGE (and probably washing up liquid).
6. People not tagging decals.
7. The paint colour preview thing.
