My 1-year is coming up fairly soon (didn't really keep track) but I can already say I relate. I'm not sure if there's ever been a show that's changed who I am as a person as much as this one. I wouldn't even say I'm that involved with the fandom but it's still had an affect on me. No regrets 👍

If it hadn't been for that hilarious mess in the funny pic thread, I wouldn't have even found this thread. Subsequently, I would end up watching it and eventually posting in it not even because the show, but just because I found interesting people here. And it all went downhill from there

That was at about the time I first discovered MLP. As well as stalking this thread for a month or so after until I got the courage to post here.

At the time, the only thing MLP I saw was avatars of various characters, still clueless where they were from, up until I stumbled across this on another forum:

This was the very gif that led to a 26 episode watching streak of season 1 the following morning.

I remember in November 2011 coming in here and giving Bronies negative words... Yet I had absolutely no idea that it was about My Little Pony... Just that it was something related to cartoon horses. I should have made the connection.

Trust me, I know the feel, this fandom, and most all of, the lot of you have really helped me improve and realize a lot of things about myself I never would have otherwise. Its not just suddenly teaching me to be a better person, either. Its exposed my problems in a way that lets me deal with them. Problems I otherwise would've struggled with without ever realizing it.

Thanks. And 👍, agreed. It seems the show makes it easier to be open about problems, and makes others more willing to help. In other words, it shows people how friendship is meant to work.

Mmm, agreed. I'm barely involved with it either. I released an original song once... It was intensely rushed, and not exactly as in my comfortable vocal range as I thought (the verses were just too low for me). It hit 100 views on youtube with 1 like every 20 views... Over the space of a long time. But still, Blunosereindeer seemed to think it was enough that he wanted to have a go at the song (probably because my writing was good, but the production... Wasn't).

I just need some money so I can get my own recording gear because my brother won't let me use his if he were to find out why I was using it (he hates ponies). I have so much pony related material written that if I were to be given the gear to record it, I wouldn't have to write any new material for an entire year. I never thought I would write a 20 minute long song (my longest ever) dedicated to ponies.

And also, how does Canterlot royalty find so many identical looking stallions for guards? I can swear those guards make up for 75% of male population there, and they all look identical.

The detail of the heart breaking when the cake splats is awesome.

Well I was using this and this for refference, mainly for nailing the look and how her mane looks when wet as I did for the others.

The gold strip at the of her head in the middle needs to actually be orange, and the orange strip needs to be red. That second pic of the wet mane is very dark.

So, about the IP Hasbro alluded to in the the other week, and them filing a trademark for "Equestria Girls" recently...

At least it's a spinoff and by no means a completely new direction for FiM (thank God). I bet it won't last more than one season unless it ends up being something considerably more awesome than I expect such an spinoff to be. And honestly, this is somewhat better than the rumors about the TV movie having humanised characters.

This month will be remembered for the crazy amounts of drama. I swear...

Well, looks like the "My Little Human" joke that's been tossed around in the fandom is not just a joke anymore. I wonder what sparked this idea. Must be the massive amount of humanized art, whatever caused that. I hope this turns out well, along with [I BELIEVE IN M.A LARSON].

Maybe this is just the beginning of spinoffs. Maybe we'll finally get The Rainbow Dash Show.

How does a spin off of a popular show makes them desperate? Otherwise it would've been just another crappy Strawberry Shortcake show to play in between episodes of Pony.

I know it's going to aimed at teens rather than younger children, and they thought that to throwing them into the human world to make it work for that target demographic. But it's most likely to shift new merch since Hasbro said they were adding "dolls, doll clothes and accessories" in conjunction with "Equestria Girls".

It... should be interesting to see how it develops.

They've tried twice now to transparently copy elements of the show and transplant everything about it to another Hasbro property, either to bolster their lineup with something else that a wide audience would be receptive to besides MLP and old episodes of Batman: TAS or just so they can get wider revenue than the show is providing them. Both times (that Care Bears PR disaster from last year that clouded the entire series' run and the non-event that was the relaunch of Littlest Pet Shop) haven't worked out, so making it a direct spinoff is likely little more than their third attempt at it.
