I think you are right zacharyPL. I say this because my V1 wheel came with v33 which I received from Frys just two weeks ago. Likely, the manufacturer just took the wheels out of the box, updated them to v35, and stuck them back in. I don't think these are entirely reworked wheels, given the fact that a "sticker" was put on already-made boxes. But this is just speculation.

2x Aura Pro Tactile

They will be used on seperate channels not all using the LFE. Basically you feel effects transfering from surround to front or left to right as you hear them. The centre channel is great for feeling the engine/throttle and cars in front. Its pretty awesome sensation.

Some of us have experimented a bit with this as its not the norm with "greeze" being one other thats taken a liking to it.

Honestly it SHOULD have been here yesterday. Look at how long it took UPS to pick it up. Normally if I get a Prime order in by 3, it will get here next day. This is the first time I pretty much "peordered" from Amazon. I

was expecting emails the instant they changed the status to "in stock". I had to send them an email to kick 'em the rear end and find out what's going on.

Missed Fed Ex by like two minutes. Now waiting at his pick up to get my wheel. Sadly I won't be using it for a few weeks


After some Carbon Fiber research it seems to me a waste of money to use CF. This is a stable rig with no motion. So no need for light weight strength. I honestly am looking into Di Noc by 3M. It is faux Carbon Fiber sticker. Seen it used and it looks great.

On that my kids have talked me into a X2010 Prototype theme. All Carbon with silver Red Bull. Will have lots of billet and either stainless or alloy framing. Undecided. Either way tig welded and very race car frame like. That the plan for now.

Let us know if you got the V.2 from Amazon US - I went by Fry's yesterday and the latest shipment they had was still V.1 (nothing on packaging to indicate, so we opened it up and checked the SN on the wheel and it had V.1)

Hopefully somebody will get Thrustmaster to elaborate on the differences

Still getting used to the paddles being fixed, but I like that.. just gonna take a little time. What FFB are peeps using in GT5.. I have it set at 2 for now, and that already feels quite strong.. but NICE

I like the FFB at 10. I haven't tested the other two options on that screen to see if they have an effect on the T500 but I just leave them on simulation/off.

Nah my GT5 is up to date.. Yesterday I was using FFB 1, today I tried it at 2 and it was noticeably stronger. I always ran FFB at 5 in GT5P but felt it was stronger in GT5 so was using a lower setting. 👍

my t500 arrived this afternoon.. :d

first impressions are that is a seriously nice bit of kit, the feel of the damping in the wheel and the way the ffb is delivered is really amazing, pedals feel very smooth also. More later, after more laps :d

just ran a load more laps in some of my fav ingame cars.. I really love the feel, it feels so smooth and precise. Really very impressed so far 👍

Guys have any of you experienced a rasping sound coming from the wheel when turning it to the left?? Mine has developed this sound after only a couple of hours of play. I've got my FFB at 5 atm and its just right for me. A little concerned about this noise now!!

Before I sent my wheel back for replacement, I could hear a very subtle difference in sound when I turned the wheel to the left vs. the right... could be described as rasping... but it was so faint and such a subtle difference, I could not tell if it had developed over time or was always there. I never actually noticed it while playing.

Well I don't have my T500. Waited an hour at the last pick up. Low and behold there is Three different FedEx trucks that deliver. Why? It is Beyond me, UPS seems ti do really well with one truck. Little salty. Fry's never sent me the tracking info. Logged in and it just said it was shipped no more info.

Note. Never order from Fry's. Never ever accept Fed Ex delivery. That's twice now they created a hassle. Last one caused me to miss the last drag race of the year. Freaking guy came that day and did not leaver parts. Ugh /rant. Hope this is not the beginning of a bad experience.

Mine has had such noises for a while now. Used to be quieter. But wheel still running fine.

The G27 seemed to get louder as it broke in. Never really got worse once it did though.

That may have no relevance. But I know electric motors get broke in as well gears seat as they are used. So some extra noise after use would make sense. Not discrediting cause I have not heard the noise. Just offering ideas

I've this wheel since now around 2 months. At beginning sound is not exactly the same on left & right direction. Apparently comes from powerful big motor & very large dual belt system. So it's normal with no incidence in gameplay. In addition this noise decreases with time 👍

Where I could see things wearing into less tolerance and getting quite.

Sometimes gears wear and get loud though. Really hard ti say with having seen inside one.
