Just curious, is anyone planning or working on load cell brake mod on T500RS? I did a serach but it didn't come up with anything.

Stay on topic guys... This isn't a Shift 2 thread.

;)

You're right - it is the T500 RS thread and that is the reason why I ask here because a friend of mine does not have this problem with his G27.. I use a T500 RS and maybe it is an issue caused from the wheel or so..

I have been playing Forza 3 with GT2 for the past week. Just went back to T500RS because of the new K-cup seasonal events. Man, T500RS just rocks! The wheel is definitely in another class when comparing to GT2. I just wish Thrustmaster could come up with a new Xbox360 compatible T500RS-like wheel. Maybe they could name it T360RS. I know Microsoft demands a heft licensing fee and probably Fanatec signed an agreement to have an exclusive rights to make Xbox360 compatible wheel for the foreseeable future. But would you like to have a wheel like T500RS for the upcoming Forza 4 or any other racing games on Xbox360? I'm sure I would and I would pay more than what TM is charging for T500RS to get it too.

PS. Anyone from TM here? Please make this happen...and please make a load cell brake mod for us!

Interesting so it was that big of a difference between the t500rs & GT2 for you huh? Yeah a t500rs that runs on the 360 would be really sweet that platform is hurting for more wheels badly

btw, yeah I think t500rs seems to slowly grow on people as they adjust to it. I'm constantly amazed by it more & more as time progresses

There is another way to use other wheels on xbox 360.

I don't know if it works well but there is a review over at ISR . And its nearly £70 a piece .

This XCM thing doesn't support Force Feedback, does it? It just translates the button commands, right?

It reminds me that I made a Logitech G25 pedal adaptor for that crappy Xbox360 wireless wheel some time ago. With the Logitech pedal(mine has AP Electrix load cell brake<-highly recommended), it sure improves the feel of playing Forza a lot.

I have to agree with dumchidumchi, I too own a GT2 and T500rs and T500rs is just so much smoother force feedback and the pedals aren't bad at all. I do use my clubsports with T500rs for the ultimate combo. Can't complain. If t500rs would work with xbox, I would ditch GT2 but going to hang on to it since I still do forza 3 and will do soon to be released Forza 4.
One thing I wish the T500rs had was a thicker wheel like the GT2 and load cell brake.

Yes... I know for sure the Perfect Pedal (true hydraulic sensor) is in development and I am sure the load cells will be coming...

That is good news! I'm sure many T500RS owners would love this mod.

PS. I went to their site but couldn't find anything about T500RS load cell in development. Left them an email and hopefully I will get a reply.

Have you thought about modding the wheel rim with leather or suede? Check out makimak22 "suede" wheel rim mod. Currently, I am using his wheel...and it's very well made. The craftmanship is top notch. It kind of reminds me of the Momo wheel that my friend has on his Golf GTI some years back. The layer of suede does make the wheel rim thicker...but not as thick as GT2. I found GT2 is too thick for my hands. :)

I've just got my new T500RS. Was rather happy when the TNT guy came.
I just assembled it on my GTOmega rig (with some new holes added) It was interesting working my way around the pedals, took me hours to get it all sorted (really it did)
Anyway I finally get it sorted plug everything in properly, switch on my playstation, Hands well clear of the wheel as I was expecting the start up spin..
All I get is a 1/4 turn one way then the other continuously, No buttons work either, I'm not sure if that's because I need to update something on the PS3 (which I can't do because of the outage that's currently happening or if I have a defective wheel.. Anyone else have a similar issue when they first got it or know what's happening/how to fix it?

@tony1201, that wheel looks really sweet!

@DC9990, unfortunately that wheel sounds defective. The T500rs should work as soon as you hook up the wheel to ps3 assuming gt5 was of course patched to 1.06. But yeah it sounds like your startup spin doesn't work that sucks

Oh btw shift 2 / T500rs discussion was moved under shift 2 section here

I think my GT5 is patched to 1.09 so I'm guessing thats fine..
I was hoping you wouldn't say that, Looks like I need to give someone a call about returning my wheel.
I guess I'll be going outside & enjoying the sun as its too warm to take it all down & put my G25 back up.

Have you tried plugging in the wheel into a PC? I'm just curious which firmware is on the wheel and if it might behave differently although I suspect you'll get the same issue since the self calibration fails on the ps3. The self boot up sequence should be identical on both platforms

T500rs vibrates in GT5 menu, gently from time to time. Is this normal?
Yes normal (in menu wheel return automatically in center, it's probably explain why there is sometime some small vibrations). It's the same when you press "Start" in race.

Same experience here, and happens only sometimes like you say. Its like it thinks its off center and trying to get to the center with small oscillations.

hakuna
vibrates when I make a choice of tires, browse the available paths. randomly when he wants.

Doesn't do it while driving the redbull does it?

Like other wheels.

Damn this dudes and their suede wheels from Hong Kong got me truly jealous. To bad shipping is crazy expensive to Honk Kong if not I would have shipped mine. :)

My original Amazon purchased T500 now has an issue with the right shifter intermittently not working or shifting multiple times. Seems like just a loose connection. In e-mails with support now. 👎 Love the wheel, just wish their build quality was better on these for the price.

Wow...TM just got back to me with exactly how to take the wheel apart and adjust the shifters without voiding my warranty. 💡 Wow. With videos and pictures. That is surprising. Not sure it will work or not, but still pretty impressed they would tell people to do this.

I am jealous too. I thought maki was being picky about getting scratch marks on his wheel. But I just noticed I scratched my rubber wheel as well. I wonder how hard it is to get that leather coating on our wheels here in the US? It appears I will have to make sure to keep my nails trimmed down to avoid scratching this wheel up further
