I am jealous too. I thought maki was being picky about getting scratch marks on his wheel. But I just noticed I scratched my rubber wheel as well. I wonder how hard it is to get that leather coating on our wheels here in the US? It appears I will have to make sure to keep my nails trimmed down to avoid scratching this wheel up further

Yeah the wheel scratches easy. I dont mind the $130-150 to have the wheel sticked, i did a shipping quote to hong kong and it was over $100 each way. That would put this wheel at close to $1000 after covering the wheel. Maybe some from here can point us to a place that can do it state side.

Hey GORDATA2NICE, a couple of my friends are going to the East Coast early September. Maybe I can ask them to bring your wheel back and send it locally by U.S. Post....

You know I paid close to US$1,000 to import a GT2 with CSP to HK. Shipping from the US to HK pretty much double the price of GT2 in the US. I still don't understand why Fanatec insist not to sell their products outside US and Europe. I mean the damn thing is made in China!!!

Thomas, if you're reading this, please consider doing a deal with Microsoft HK and let them distribute your products here. Sony Playstation HK recently did a deal with Thrustmaster to distribute T500RS here in HK and the wheel sells like hot cake here. Just think about the opportunities to expand your customer base with the upcoming Forza 4 release.

Anyway, the suede wheel is very nice. Definitely worth it. 👍

Or wear racing gloves. I find the wheel a bit heavy than normal and felt like I need to wear gloves or else overtime my hand will be calloused from driving.

Sorry for double posting:)

Ah thanks, I will go purchase some gloves. Is there any place you guys recommend where I can go to order some or is there a popular store chain where I can grab some right quick? (I never used racing gloves before thats a great suggestion)

I ordered some Mechanic 0.5 from Amazon. They work fairly well. My only complaint is a lack of body heat on my finger tips for when I need to use my iPhone. There is also a lack of sensitivity for touching wheel buttons. All of that aside, I like the gloves a lot.

Or go with fingerless gloves perhaps?

yeah, the wheel scratches very easily. Came home today to find that my wheel got all scratched up by my little nephew. what's worse is he used a quarter! damn it!!!!

One reason MS won`t sell the GT2: it is also compatible with PS3...

I don't think this is the reason. MS has already stopped making their crappy wireless wheel so GT2 is the only wheel available for Xbox360. Wait...that is also that Madcatz wheel...anyone actually using this?

I remember when MS released Forza 3 here in HK, they have a special event where they gave away a Fanatec Turbo S to the first person in line to purchase the game. I know this is just a one-off thing, but MS could do what Sony Playstaion HK is doing with T500RS. Get a batch of wheel somewhere and distribute here in HK. Limited supply...get them before they are gone kind of deal. It just makes good business sense in promoting the upcoming Forza 4 game. Imgaine they release Forza 4 and they don't even have a wheel for the game in HK! How stupid would that be?

Sorry for being off topic here...let's get back to T500RS. Has anyone done any mod on the brake pedal yet? We've seen the oversized brake pedal for left foot braking. Any load cell mod?

Hey thanks a lot all for the racing gloves suggestions I am getting ready to order some now because I don't want to scratch this rubber rim on my T500rs any further.

Just get the cycling gloves as dumchidumchi suggested. That is what I am using now. I first bought a pair of racing gloves from a local Nascar novelty shop and they are too thick, too much padding. You want something that is just enough so you can still easily press the buttons to go through the menus.

Dave, why not the padded gloves?

They add too much bulk for this application. Which is fine for riding a bike. You need support because of the weight you're putting on your hands. There are some riders who prefer no padding at all. They just want added grip and protection from blisters etc, while allowing your hands to not get all sweaty. Which is what I'm looking for in a driving glove.

Hello, dear T500 RS owners.

After many extended hours playing, the gas pedal of my unit has started to make a nasty squead sound. I also found it caught some clearance side.

Do you know it this has an easy way to solve?.

Thanks in advice.

Sounds like a drop of machine oil would do the trick.

There is a hinge pin at the top of the pedal. I would try leaning the set on either side. Just one drop at a time will probably be fine. This is just speculation of course. But after looking at mine that is where I would start.
