ISR interview with Dirt 3 developer just posted up (I am still watching as I post). At 3:20 you can see a pro driver using a T500RS (? - eh, maybe its the logitech in that frame) for 2 frames to test out the feel of a vehicle.

Link (I need to learn how to embed a youtube proper):

The developer claims they play the game with the steering wheel 1st and foremost, then pad. So hoping for good control. Seemed relevant to this thread so thought I'd share here. They already confirmed in an earlier interview with ISR dirt 3 will support the T500rs btw

edit- oh sweet they reconfirm t500rs support for sure at the end of the video

That is good news . By the looks of this thread the T500 is selling well still .

I hope it is the wheel of choice for developers 👍

Not much of a picture but@home is the best I've got...

This one is the simpliest rig with the DFGT and without 5.1 DTS sound but the base is the same.

Will upload a photo of the rig with the T500RS and Z5500 tomorrow@work

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Here's the promised photo:

The TM is still in ruber, this picture is a month or two old.

Do you make its for sale?.

Those rigs while nice kinda made me laugh a little.
I understand the purpose of the wheels on them for easy mover-ability but couldn't help thinking they look like those mobility electric cars for disabled or OAPs. :)

Think you missed a trick on the audio.
As a car/audio specialist why did you go for Logitech speakers rather than use a far better and higher quality sub/speaker setup from one of the car audio brands?

Still nice though...

My first thoughts too! lol

What differences have you noticed if any from updating?

From the TM site!! "BOOTLOADER: Added protection and recovery procedure to avoid any risk of definitive firmware loss"

Finshed the 24hr Le Sarthe race now.. Wheel was a joy to use and performed flawlessly throughout. 👍

Yeah Thomas is tossing out strong hints about a Clubsport Shifter announcement for E3. So I am sure Thrustmaster will be paying attention and hopefully sped that effort along (competition is good). Perhaps Thrustmaster may make an announcement at E3? ofc I realize they were quiet as a mouse about the wheel development. I am hoping they will be less stealthy now tho

Anyway I'm getting by really well with just the paddles honestly. The FFB is so strong in iRacing, not sure how I would take my hands off the wheel to shift to be honest. My arms seem to always be sore after driving in that game due to all the nice surface ffb. In Shift2, all the race cars I am driving all seem to be using paddles as well so its matching up nice

Still would be nice to use a shifter tho here & there for the cars that still use a stick.

Funny you mention E3 as its been what I assumed/discussed in the past would be the time/place for Thrustmaster to show their "Shifter".
Had a look just now because up until about a month ago (when I last checked) they "Thrustmaster" still were not listed as exhibitors which was a bit worrying, although they now are.

While this doesnt confirm anything about a shifter being shown their. If anywhere is a good place to launch/showcase products it's E3. How Id love to go their sometime, just to experience it.

Will be interesting to see something from Fanatec also but they as yet have not to my knowledge introduced a major product release that hasnt had several months pre order and then delays before even a limited number first batch launching. So again I very much doubt a "Fanatec" one will be in gamers hands before this year ends.

Thomas is welcome however to prove my assumption wrong.

Well the thing is shifter on PS3 will make clutch work in gt5, for me having a hobby getting sidways in gt5 that would make me more happier since I will be able to use the clutch technique. I mean thats really what is missing out the GT5 with T500 atm :(

And E3, yes I hope they atleast will show a prototype so we all know how it will look like, and if it will be compatible with ps3

You've said it all, the wheels are for the easy mobility of the rigs, since we use them in LAN weekends or rental's.

This is the best price/quality/size/easy use/DTS 5.1 system I know.

The idea is to keep it simple and there aren't any systems on the Car-Audio world capable of these 5 features with this price tag.

Also Car-Audio systems are 12 Volt and we use for the LCD, TM, PS3 and Z5500 the 220 Volt available in any power outlet, needing no converter.

Thanks on the compliments.

That would be a big blow if it was a PC only shifter. They already have a lot of choices for PC. The official shifter would no doubt support ps3.

Whats going to hurt- I don't see game devs going back and patching in support for the shifter after it comes out (beyond gt5) :indiff:

Well it won't be an official GT5 steering wheel anymore if they make a shifter that will only work for PC... unless PD releases a PC version GT5:)

GT5 on PC? Forget about that one :P

But that does make since that shifter will be instantly compatible with gt5 since its the official wheel, otherwise I think pd will have to do some work to make clutch work without shifter, that btw would be a good idea for a new patch of gt5 lol

Thing is they could have more than maybe just a shifter to show us.
A new wheel rim or alternative model is possible as they have always stated the wheel rim is changeable.

They hinted on Facebook sometime ago that they still hold a Ferrari Licensce and regards the shifter it will use separate USB on PS3 also.

Well yes it is an easy to use and install option.
I just thought that in the position your in and if wanting to develop a demo cockpit as a real showcase and also a commercial option either for renting/purchasing then car audio subs and speakers could be implemented into maybe a more deluxe unit.

You don't need to utilise actual car audio amplification, use AV Amplifer/Reciever with 4ohms to run off 220V but power the sub speakers. Ive purchased multiple basic but cheap Xplod subwoofers for my own build. So Id of loved to of seen what a company with experience and the products you have could come up with in sheer audio awesomeness in a much more impressive or substantial cockpit.

Going off track here regards thread discussion/topic.

i just installed my T500RS v3, and play Gran Turismo 5 with latest update (1.08).
I played using Ferrari F2007 and suddenly the wheel was not responding to any input. No feedback, no steering, no pedal response, nothing.. my car just went straight without control.
After a few seconds, the wheel recalibrate itself and it was responding again.
This happened repeatedly. I tried using normal car and the problem repeat again.
I notice the problem happened during hard braking after long straight, and the LED indicator on bottom left of the wheel was turning orange or flashing green for a while

I live in Indonesia, and I dont know what to do as I can't return it to the dealer.
i hope you can give me a solution.

need your help, please.

Little teaser pic.

T500 RS steering wheel adapter hubs. These will mount the Momo F1 style wheel to the T500 RS. however they can be made to adapt wheel of choice.

Expect these to be available shortly through a GTP member. The parts are on the way to him and he surely post install pics and pricing.

Got any more info on that - models, prices, shipping and how to order?

Yes, soon they'll be available with all the information related.

Can be custom built for each one specs, different seats, different wheels, with or without the electronics, whatever, you name it!

by the way, this is my setup using T500RS
