Regarding the video above with GT5 triple screens. Does it render each screen individually or does it take the image and drag it out on the sides?

(sorry for OT, hey i own a T500 atleast :P)

There is a hinge pin at the top of the pedal. I would try leaning the set on either side. Just one drop at a time will probably be fine. This is just speculation of course. But after looking at mine that is where I would start.
Thanks, Vince.

The noise has stopped by itself, but I´m worry about the slack side the pedal has taken in so little time (my unit is around 45 days old).

In a pair of days I will made cleaning and maintenance of the pedals, because I see they have accumulated enough dust.

Each screen is rendered individually as you need 3x PS3s (connected by a LAN hub) and 3x GT5 discs to get it working. I am desperate to try the layout soon (3 screens at least, if not 5...)

I am saving up for a multi-monitor GT5 setup. I already have two PS3 and maybe sell my 27" monitor and just get 3 24"s. This setup is awesome specially in cockpit view where you can have grasp of what's going on your two sides. But I read multi-monitor in GT5 isn't working well online.

Triple Screens: pictures can be also separated with different views.

Playing with multiscreens, controlled via the T500RS and using good tactile immersion is quite an experience within the home. To think this surpasses what $10000+ arcade units offered a few years ago.

Just to correct the "different views comment"
You can't actually do that or have independant views to my knowledge, not in single player Arcade or GT mode.

What that guy is demonstrating is using 3x PS3 and an online race. He is using the outer screens and consoles logged in as spectators viewing the race over PSN, not the LAN mode. Only their can you do that and its not possible to dedicate a screen/console to a replay or rear view mirror like past GT games or say like Forza 2/3 allowed.

Perhaps an update will allow more control of views.

That guy uploads great t500rs drift vids and it really highlights one of the major strengths of the wheel (very fast return to center, etc) <- I hope I said everything correctly. I tried comparing t500rs to other wheels in drift vids and didnt notice any of those guys using advanced techniques like this guy does.

Of course I don't drift myself but I still just let the wheel return to center a lot while driving. I noticed the ISR guys in their t500rs review do the same thing do any of you guys do that also?

Just a small update.. Still loving the T500RS. Had 0 probs with it and would recommend anyone that is thinking of getting one to stop thinking and get it. :D You get what you pay for without a doubt.

👍

I'm loving the force feedback and the feel of it. Just wished it was a little quieter or the fan would only come on every so often, wonder if they can change the fan speed/time it stays on by updating the firmware, would be nice :)

I wonder how people are hearing the fan over the game sounds, etc? The only time I ever notice my fan on my t500rsV2 is after I turn off my games and put my ear up to it. much quieter than my PC

Hello,

looking to replace my G25 for this new TM wheel.

Questions, can anyone elaborate on improved laptimes, and what seem as improvements in certain sections of certain tracks, from old G25/G27 wheels, to the new TM T500 ?

I will be my own critic, I am just asking here too :)

Have a nice day,

I'm building a few Racing Cockpits for a LAN Event here in Portugal.

Of course the chosen wheel was the T500RS but one of them as already broken down with a intense electric burnt smell...

As gone to dealer for warranty purpose, let's see what happens.

Anyway, not disapointed at all with the wheel, only thing I've done to all of them was the Alcantara/Suede cover custom made like a normal car.

Lot's of improvement, specially with racing gloves.

Hi All

I'm looking at getting one of these wheels and wanted to know what is the difference between the Version 2 or Version 3 Thrustmaster Wheels.

There is only version 2 available to purchase here at the moment.
I suspect its just firmware i can upgrade but would like to know from one of you knowledgeable lads :)

So should i wait for a version 3 to roll up or pull the pin and buy a version 2?

cheers

I have both version 2 and version 3 wheels and the only difference I can see is version 3 has newer firmware (on underside of both wheels it states version 2 but one of the boxes has a v3 sticker on it).

Any updates on what TM say regards warrenty and for people that have altered the "wheel rim"? Id like clarification on this matter.

I dont have much issue with the rubber but have noticed like others it is a bit prone to marking.

The product is advertised as having a removable/changable wheel so surely then at some point if they released an alternative wheel a user removing the wheel would not be invalidating their actual warrenty?

Can then because of this feature allow a fautly wheel be sent back (minus the wheel rim) for replacement under warrenty if it has an internal problem and a replacement/repair sent out (minus the wheel rim)?

Not much of a picture but@home is the best I've got...

This one is the simpliest rig with the DFGT and without 5.1 DTS sound but the base is the same.

Will upload a photo of the rig with the T500RS and Z5500 tomorrow@work

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

^^ Exactly what I would assume they would be fine with. But one cant know w/o asking them. But since thats an advertised feature of the wheel one would assume they'd be fine with it.

Man when I 1st got this wheel I think I treated it with more respect and reverence. But now that I'm getting used to it, I might be treating it more rough and incurring some scratches. {Yes I am getting those gloves soon thanks again all you guys rock}

I checked youtube for T500 RS and here what I got::gtpflag:

The wheel and the stand is ok for 10 FFB and :lol: this guy is correct, the hands can be sore after playing it for a while :sly:
