You can get some of your investment back if you sell your G27 :)

Yup... big emphasis on the IF... hard to sell right now, it doesn't matter if it has any flaws or looks brand-spankin new... I'd hate to sell it on ebay but have no choice because of the extra fee :ouch:

Really? Is nobody buying? It seems to be sold out everywhere, and at least here demand seems to be decent.

Well hopefully I get to sell this bad boy soon. My guess is I have a better chance selling it here than ebay, plus I get to lower the price here 👍

My advice to you 360hype. Keep your G27. You never know when you may need a backup plan. I had the DFGT and had it up for sale after I recieved my T500. When the TM wheel went up in smoke I had to decline on the offers I had on the DFGT. If not for that I would have missed out on some race time, or resort to using the pad.

Thanks for the advice! Not in too much of a hurry to sell it, and the T500 is already paid anyways, so I will be waiting for the right offer. Though it would be nice if I also have some money after that spending spree :dunce: I might close my listing in ebay when it expires since they charge for every listing, and probably just leave my list here. 👍

Yes I do use both wheels. Also Cant let go of the GT2 Because Forza 4 is around the corner.
I am going to try to pick up another set of clubsports for the T500 wheel. The T500 pedals are good but not clubsport good.

But the T500-clubsport combo only works for PC right? I hope there is a way to *officially* mod the T500 pedals and make them a load cell type. Just how different is it?

Has anyone found any diagrams of the Thrustmaster wheel, giving dimensions?

Looked everywhere and can't find anything, thanks in advance.

Be nice if they release a cad drawing. We all know they got them. Simple as making them a jpeg and posting online.

I had reversed engineered some of the wheel for my current cockpit build. Been very handy to have had a blue print.

What do you think of the fanatic GT2 compared to the T500?
I really want to get a GT3 RS even though I have the T500 as it does look like a quality wheel with the thick alcantara rim and want to experience them club sport pedals : )

In my book there's absolutely no point in burning money on the gt3rs if you already have the T500rs. You can use the CSPs in conjunction with the T500rs on the PC. Pretty much every game is playable on the PC with exception to the big two (Forza, GT5). ofc I am omitting the previous classics that are console only and the fringe titles (TDU, etc). edit- {ok fine maybe that's a strong enough reason}

Yeah I know what you mean but the only thing I am console user only, playing GT5 only and maybe the new Dirt 3. But I'm beginning to think that I should get into PC racing however I'm a mac user!

Yeah if you don't embrace the PC side of this wheel you will for sure miss on it's full potential. rFactor (realfeel plugin + maybe leo FFB), iRacing, & GTR Evo all jump into the fore front of my mind when I think about games that unlocks the full potential of this wheel.

Also to get to the point, I agree the Fanatec no doubt has the edge for console gaming. It's only natural for a console racer to be drawn to them.

t500rs really comes into it's own on the PC for now til more ps3 titles emerge.

Yeah I feel you... mac here. I think majority (or if not, all of them - not sure) of the games are on the PC, and I have yet to encounter someone who uses their wheel for a mac... although I might be wrong because I don't search this atm. :) But if you really want to do PC games, just get the CSP.

I was about to suggest to look for a steering wheel cover made of alcantara (like one of those rubber or leather ones) but that was a failure 👎

I might look into running boot camp on my mac. Looks like I need to take part in some PC racing to experience the full effect of the T500rs. Although I love the wheel atm on the PS3/GT5.

I am a macbook pro user myself and I just decided to build a gaming rig recently. It ran perfectly but I wanted triple screen setup so I made the switch.

I like the thickness and suede of the GT2 setup but I love the paddle shifters on the T500rs. Makes the paddles on the GT2 feel very plastic. The club-sport pedals work beautifully. Then we have the shifter which really add to the real factor.

Idk, I am happy with both wheels. Keeping both, when fanatec releases the club-sport shifter. I will probably order two and complete the t500rs package.
