Well, with all these fan clubs I haven't spotted one single Toyota fan club so I thought, why not starting one?

Welcome!

Since I was a little kid, I could pick out the Toyota's in traffic and when I discovered the Supra at an age of 10 years, I knew I'd never wanted anything else...

For myself, my dad ownes a '95 2.4L Previa with 250,000 km on the mark.

PS:

Should there be a fan club already...well, damnit!

I'll join. I love Toyota's. Supra's, Chaser's, Celica's and Levins and all the rest.

I don't have one yet but that is merely a matter of being too poor. I'm looking at old skool Toyota's as first cars. Ke Corolla's, KP Starlets and AE Levin/Trueno's.

But enough of my whining. Have some gorgeous Supra pics.

They're taken by Clint Davis, check out some more pics of his, he's a good photographer.

I'll join too, I hardly have any time to post on gtplanet but I am a Toyota Fanboy.

I currently have a 3rd gen Supra (MA70) I'm hoping to buy a 4th gen (JZA80) (The one in the pics :D )

My first Toyota (still have it) was a 4th gen Celica (AT160) with the 4A-GE engine.

My dad had 8 Toyotas already. Land-Cruiser (BJ40), Corolla GT (AE86), Corolla 1.8d (CE90) Carina E, Land-Cruiser (KZJ70), Previa (TCR10) (same one as you Floyd ;) ) Corolla Star-Van 2.0 D4-D (CE110) and now he has an Avensis 2.0 D4-D.

You probably don't recognize some models since they are European cars but I can find some pics if you want.

Wow, Can I Really come in here? I mean, I Have a Toyota. Except, it's not a Toyota...It's not even a Scion or Lexus...It's an '88 Chevy Nova. But it's based on a Toyota. AE82 Sprinter.

has a 4A-LC and 3-speed auto. looking for a 4A-GE and 5-Speed. I'd really like a -GZE out of an AW11, but I'll take whatever -GE and 5-Speed I can get my hands on.

How much would one in good, running condition cost me?

I don't own a Toyota, and I'm not planning on really ever buying one....but I like them. Does that count? :D

My favorites are pretty much anything that is RWD, but also the FWD Celicas. I especially like the Mark II Chaser, the Supras, and the very first Celica. :)

former toyo owner, here. to bad I got one that someone had beat the living snot out of

I'm more game happy, but even my dad managed to do some time in a Corolla. where would you get the body style from? would it be on my old pink slip as part of the VIN?

it was a first year 83 Camry

Isn't the one abve a 2JZ-GTE?

Anyway, nice that you own a MKIII. I've seen a couple for sale not too expensive, might consider starting to work for it in vacation :D

My dad also owned one of those old Landcruiser, the FJ40? or something.

The MkIV Supra's chassis name is JZA80 and the engine code for the motor is 2JZGTE.
I reckon that the JZ series are probably the greatest stock motor to come from Japan. RB's can suck it!

:P

Ouch :ouch: my pride.......

:)

One of my Fanfic charas drove an AE86-Tureno-bodied dirt late model when SHE started out racing. had the TRD Group A 20V 4A-GE, (Same motor Bunta put in the Eight-Six.) but modified with Winston-Cup grade materials and a circle track cam profile. and modified to run on methanol. super-high compression meant around 280HP. Ran in a class consisting mostly of high-winding Honda motors under Integra bodies.

Heh, UZ > JZ.

Not to knock the JZ motor (I have one), but those 4.0/4.3 V8s are insanely durable. If the radiator overheats, the motor's been known to take a beating and not suffer any internal damage in most cases. We've seen to examples from idiot customers that didn't change their oil for 35-40,000 miles until the engine siezed up. Again, the V8's a toughie.

Go ahead and count me in (as long as the club isn't for spammer idiots ;) ).

Toyota is my favorite brand just about.

I used to drive a '98 Camry Le.
Helped my brother pick out a '01 Corolla Le.
Eventually bought and am currently driving a 2006 Corolla S.

My plan is to pay off my Corolla S and buy a Celica GTS as a weekend car (unless I find an awesome supra deal).

So... 2 Toyotas under my belt with plans to buy another for weekends one day down the road... Yeah, I'd say I'm a Toyota fan.:P

i think you are:dopey:

Go kent, its your birthday

Yes that is equal to BJ40, the difference is in the engine. The B series was Diesel and the F was Petrol, or it was a newer Diesel than the B... I'm not really sure.

I also agree that the 2JZ-GTE is one of the best I6 in the world. There are many tuned to as much 1500hp and I think that the Engine and Gearbox can go as high as 900hp without any additional internal reinforcements.

I can't belive any of you jerkwads haven't mentioned the MR2 yet. :grumpy:

Thats just after a good wash and wax, although at the moment it's got horrible rain marks all over the damn thing. Also the front wheels are starting to get covered in brake pad dust again. I swear next time i'm gonna buy some pagid pads or ebc's instead of toyota oem ones and hope they don't give off so much dust.

My pic doesn't show up anymore... why??

The MR2 (SW20) is my favourite one ;) And the turbo one is a great machine with lots of tuning potential.

Mines an NA only 175bhp, but it's got enough kick for me seeing as my last car was a 60bhp VW Polo. Unfortunately Europe got shafted and only got a NA version of the car, but the turbo ones are still pretty common and have been imported by the bucketload.

Although the American NA mr2 is pretty laffo, because it didn't get the 3S-GE. It has the blisteringly fast 5S-FE from the (laffo) camry. But you actually got the turbo model so it's not so bad.

I'm going to lower my car about 35mm and upgrade the brakes. I'm not thinking of doing any more mods because I'm aiming for a 4th gen Supra and I still got to learn how to dominate the one that I have now :) I'd like to replace some body panels with dry carbon, but that is waaaaaay too expensive. The biggest problem with my Supra is the weight: 1500kgs
