The Toyota Fan Club!

Yeah, thats why alot of people liked the XRS versus the EP3 Si Civic, the weight. Toyota has done a good job at keeping curb weights sane, unlike some of the other manufactures...

Still, 2500 lbs seems heavy to me, though it is about what my '99 Corolla weighs. Its probably from the fact that my first car, a '94 Tercel, weighed under 2000 lbs (yes, Elise weight range) and my MR2 weighs about 2200lbs.

The current Yaris is the lightest in its range from what I am finding, at right under 2300lbs. The Fit is over 2400 lbs and the Versa is over 2700 (WTH?) I think most Toyota's have awesome upgradeablity because they are generally light cars.

??

who poked this thread awake? Nice MR2 tho...I've only ever seen ONE around here.

eighteen months ago, I picked up a heavy-milage 4Runner, since then, I've gone through 50/80k, 8 tires, and many quarts of oil

And I own four, hoping to get the Celica going in the next week since I'll have time. And new some pictures of the Spyder.

I don't currently own a Toyota, but I'm looking into getting a nice Mk1 MR2. They're going pretty cheap here in the UK at the mo.
