Wonder if it works with ENTER on a keyboard :)

And as for car damage ...who cares lol rather a ingame car then my brain getting fried ! :dunce:

You did 3 hours of A Spec grinding in a automated way without any manual intervention? Could you explain how you managed to do this please?

Did you watch the video?

I have been doing this too. The car will get turned into the wall occasionally but it's gone for several hours with no problem. I just check on it now and then. My aspec is at 31 and it just takes way too long any other way.

True. Longest I've gone w/o incident is 4hours so far..lol. Not too bad I suppose. I left it on, went out for dinner, had a couple of drinks, and came back a couple of million credit richer :D

The one thing you didn't think about is the damage your doing to your car. You will eventually need to do a Frame re-fresher and your bill won't be cheap. Keep doing this and you will keep losing money.

It's ok... I can have the car replaced :D

Protip: portrait video is pointless and insanely unnatural.

Ok, noted. :D

Works with the Enter button on a USB keyboard as well.
Forced max wings, all driving aids on, TC 5 ABS off. Works like a charm !
Last night I set it up but on with all aids off and wings on lowest but on the 3rd go my car ended up driving in the barriers after overtaking other cars I reckon, so been spinning wheels for few hours lol.
Let's see how it goes tonight with new settings.

Does it? so it will re enter the race if you have the enter button pressed down once the race is over? (i dont have a controller with rapid fire, but i have a USB keyboard)

Ye works for a keyboard just fine,, keep enter being pressed and sorted.

However thought i leave it for 2 hours to find coming back that after 45 minutes it was spinning against a wall again. Trying some other settings but think it is down to pure luck or lack of.
Playing pc games I just watch the screen now and then and it always works...leave it alone and for some reason it messes up lol.

I now let it run while having the left steering stick ever so slightly to the right so you sort of gently scrape the wall all the time and it seems to work flawless.
Grind money at night and enjoy new cars and stuff when you have time ;0
Downforce: 50/50 - Automatic - TC5 - Skid.rec. On - Ac.St. Mild - ASM - On - ABS1

And to the guy calling it pathetic.....if you think doing this manually for weeks on end to reach 40 isn't pathetic .....
Sure you can just leave it and maybe you will rach 40 over a year or what whilst just doing online races or whatever but doubt I be playing it that freakign much lol cause the amount of exp needed is mind bogling.

Nice to see that someone appreciates this 👍 :)

For all those still not believing that it works. With the X1 it DOES work, stock, you do not need to change anything, just make sure the right analog stick is always pushed up all the time. I had admitadly a few accidents, where the car spun but that is rare. I do this in the dream car championship, 10 laps on the oval. With loading times only 8 minutes for 108.000 cr. and 9.800 exp, could be much more actually, but that's the best way to grind in the game.

Get a string/rubber band and make sure the left stick is pointing up and to the right (very slightly) so that your car goes to the outside wall after the race started. I'm doing this with the X1 and it will still do 235+ on the straight while grinding the wall. It runs all night without a problem.

i have some trouble with the te fightstick

it only taps the throttle for like 10% of the way....i guess it's because it is because the dpad buttons are pressure sensitive?

I had it run overnight for 9 hours straight and my god, it is still running but does need a oil change now hehe.

The trick is to use your standard ps3 controller, use a rubber band to keep the right analog stick pointing upwards for full throttle all the time.
Use a knife or whatever you can think of to keep the left analog stick steering to the right a small amount. Make sure you can still reach 400kph on the straights but this way you will drive along the rail all the time and never have a accident with the other cars on track. Without this trick no matter what settings at some point you will crash and keep spinning into the wall.
Got me 7 million overnight and went from 20% in level 34 to 5% in level 35.

👍👍

Awsomeeeee! loved it, i hate hate hate how this game has this ridiculous grinding crap, cant even sell your rubish prize cars not happy with this aspect of the game in the slightest. Grinding in a race game sucks!

This method FULL OF WIN and two fingers to the griding s***

Awesome, one question though. How did you get the DS3 to automatically restart the race once the previous race has ended?

Use Antispinner v1.0

You will finish 12 and get ~2800 exp, its not ~3500 but You are sure the car will not spin.

LOL antispinner v1.0 !! LOL!!! this has sooo made my day! lol

how about instead of grinding the game silly.. you actually play it? and u know.. do the races and licences and season events and the likes? isn't that why u buy a racing game? to race? or do u guys just want the X1 and race every race with it so u r sure to win? where is the excitment in that :/

I use my G15 keyboard for that. I just plug it into the PS3 and stick a piece of hard paper next to the Enter button so it stays down.
What this does is the same as keep the X button tapped so to speak :)

You're missing the point, Online races, FGT, beating the LMP cars with a Furai, Special Event golds, shaving seconds off your Nordschleife time, all of those things when you're playing, then leave it doing this at night to earn XP and credits while you sleep. Of course it's cheating but so what? It's a race against stupid AI cars on an Oval track, you can be 200hp down and win this race first time. I'm going to try this tonight, and remember to plug the controller in so it doesn't die.

To answer your question: I done every event accept 5 Enduracnes which are left. Got gold in everything inclucing vettel stuff and this will net you LvL 34.3. ( no aids ) So from here on even if you have done the last endurance races you will still have about 200+ hours CONSTANT playing/racing or more left to do to reach 40.

I like racing and hotlapping but not that much especially not in this game, even with testing and tuning cars trying to get me new fastest laptimes and even with online racing it will take to much time. Hell don't think I'll ever finish it then. For a challenge I'll keep to online racing and leagues, more on the PC SIM racing then in GT5 which is just some side fun to me.

But EACH TO HIS OWN ! Whatever people do to finish this game respect to them because if that is how they enjoy it, hey its their time their, money, their life in the end.

Ahhhhh I see... I'll have to try this when I get home, lol.
DS3 (to auto accelerate + slight steer) and Arcade stick (to restart race)

👍 EXACTLY!
It's not like i've not been doing the seasonals, or special events, or licenses or winning the events. Heck I'm even currently involved in an online tourney. which will last all the way to April.

The fact of the matter is, to fully enjoy GT5, meaning having the cars you want etc, doing all the mods, you need a load of credit. And how do you earn that extra amount of credits? Grinding. Sad but true.

So this method is to help everyone out there. I'm pretty sure this method is healtier as well. :)

Yep below is a picture of the setup.

Summery: ( Some credits to Poyol ! )

For easy Money and easy EXP in A-spec so you can just enjoy online racing, tuning and buying testing cars without spending hours to get enough cash yourself: ( Or to reach LvL 40 without damaging your limited lifetime and brain itself ! )

Choose the Dream Car Championship - The first event being on the Indy course - 10 Laps.
9800 Exp and 108.000 credits in just under 8 minutes if I'm correct. ( Will check later to give exact numbers. )

Setup:
Downforce: Lowest 50/50
Rest: Default

Options:
Automatic Gearbox
Traction control - 5
Skid Recovery - On
Active Steering - Mild
ASM - On
ABS - 1

And then make sure you rig your controller and keyboard as in this picture.

The left stick is pointing to the right slightly, in exactly such a way that you still reach 400kph on the straights but you keep grinding the wall. Test it out on the track to make sure you got the stick locked in the perfect angle.
Without this last trick you will end up crashing and most likely have the car spinning against the wall for hours on end at some point and that we dont want !
Make sure you connect your controller to the PS3 or it's battery will run out of juice.

When the event is ended the keyboard with the constantly pressed enter button will make sure the race gets restarted every time.
See my keyoboard in the background of the image with a small piece of paper stuck in the keyboard at the numlock enter button.
It will act as if the x button on the controller is being pressed over and over.
Hope you got a spare keyboard with USB connection else you can't do much on your PC ( and PS3 obviously ) as like me!

So I just leave it running when I am sleeping and away from home to work, sport, work on my car, enjoy other hobbies and spend time with friends and family.

Now you can leave your PS3 running for how long as you want. Just make sure it is standing up straight for better cooling and it is not covered in dust to prevent overheating. For the rest it will be fine.
For your own state of mind you can backup your savegame every now and then. In the UNLIKELY event anything happens ( Flood, Hurricane, Power Down, PS3 dies ) you got your progress saved on the USB stick which then you have to keep safe offcourse.

got it working with my usb keyboard, but i can't seem to get it to win if i have the left stick steering it into the wall. if i have it without the steering it can win but its hit/miss weather it ends up getting spun out from hitting other cars :(

Test it some more then, you need to drive into the wall VERY little.
You can see my stick only pointing to the right ever so slightly, the idea is that you turn right at all times so when you bump into backmarkers you will drive in the wall again else you will indeed crash eventually.
Can't describe it anymore precise then I did in my above post really, I have it working flawlessly and will let it run whenever its not doing Bspec races or im racing myself.
