Removal of all the confirmation for buying parts. I know what i want to buy, so 2 clicks would be perfect. I wouldn't have bought it if i didn't want to install it right away. And i know that i bought it cause i clicked OK 5 times, i don't need one more to make me feel safe.

- Top Gear track has an option to have standing start for time trials & practices at least.

- Add an extra Feild Of View option to display three quarters (or more) of the wheel in
cockpit view. (FOV similar to the Ferrari F40)

- Ability for the DFGT wheel to not blip the throttle for you when changing gears.

- Remove duplicate cars, just include the best version of a car.

Eg. Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version II ‘95
Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version III ‘96
Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version IV ‘97
Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version V ‘98
Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version VI ‘99
(Pretty much all the same car, should just include the best version instead of many versions of what is basically the same car)

- Remove duplicated Premium/ Standard cars
Eg. P Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) ‘02
S Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) ‘99
(Basically the same car)

They couldn't remove cars because that would look stupid and they would be admitting error. If you'll check the process standardization topic though, I'm planning to assemble a hypothetical GT6 car list that we can debate. I'll try to keep duplicates out.

This seems more like a GT6 wish lists. Many of these would require redesigning the game from the core and an entire new game worth of content.........

My main issue with GT5 is the lack of tracks and events. Already mention but adds another vote to the need for them. Aside from that:

-Individual gear changing - GT5P had it, why take it out

-Longer Championships - GT4 had like 10 races. Add some tracks
-Qualifying/Practice for Championship - Car setups will vary per track(not sure if Expert is longer. Haven't gotten there)

-Allow car setup saves

-Save during Championships/Endurance - Feature was suppose to be in Endurance to begin with.

-Race Restriction Credits - GT5P had it. Hated it at first but forced better tuning and driving skills. (Do Not do it for all races though)

-Give us the G25/27 option under wheels. Make it 100% supported. Meaning button mapping works as well. Re-code to suite Logitech if they won't for recode for GT5.

P.S. For GT6 make it two disk like GT1. Arcade / Simulator. So much space can be dedicated to the GT Life mode. And eliminate all the repetitive cars please. Add cars from around the world to make up the difference. Japan is not the only place this game is played.

Just not necessary. You tell me why you think GT Life takes up more disc space than the car, track, audio and image data?

GT5 does not come close to the 50GB max. In the age of installs, swapping discs for arcade and GT mode would be prehistoric and ridiculously impractical.

I thought GT5 was 13GB.

First off what your talking about GT Life takes up more than the car, track, etc. I never said that and it doesn't even make sense what your speaking of. But I will tell you why. How much stuff is missing from this game. How may premium cars are there compared to standards. How many tracks have weather and day changes. How many bad texture maps can you count. All this HD quality stuff takes space. If you knew graphic work, 3d software or programming you'd know how easily space can be eaten up. Kaz also stated that the disk is near full months ago. Whether they used a single or dual layer disk, its nearly full. As far as swapping disk. I never even play Arcade. Even with GT1. I don't use it so why take up resources when something else more useful can go in its place. Besides its my suggestion not yours. You didn't ask for it so apparently its not for you.

I would like to be able to change cars once at a track. Having to go back to the main menu and access my garage then go back to the same track is a waste of time.

Allow me to access my garage when I'm already at a track.

1) In addition to "give to a friend", add:
Lend to a friend, Sell to a friend, Trade with a friend.

2) Change organisation of arcade mode track selection, so that you first select the track, then select which variation of that track, then select the weather, and finally select the time of day.

3) Don't give you cars as prizes that you have already paid for. If you already own the car that they want to give you, then you should just be given another car of equivalent value.

4) Add a mode that lets you do the Top Gear test track with the 'reasonably priced car', and shows your name on the celebrity leaderboard at the end so you can see how you compare against the celebrities that have been on the show.

5) There should be a time trials leaderboard that shows your best laptimes compared to your friends. And it would be awesome if you were automatically sent a little message to let you know when one of your friends has beaten one of your laptimes.

6) The ability to switch between manual and automatic gears without having to go back to the main menu screen. I play manual, and my mate plays automatic. It's extremely frustrating.

7) Future races in DLC should be much harder. For MOST races, this game isnt about being good at driving, its just about having a car thats faster than the rest. So there should be better restrictions on which cars can enter which races. Maybe every race should have a "maximum BHP" restriction to make it fair on the AI drivers. Many people wont agree with me on this though.

I'm just wondering what part do "You" feel in terms of data makes up GT Life and Arcade mode? Arcade mode is nothing more than a mode(not gigabytes of data), it takes little to no space to implement it and shares all the same assets as GT mode.

Your suggestion is flawed is all I'm saying. Arcade mode does not take up any space, its just a mode. The graphics and art work for that mode's menu couldn't be anymore than 50MB

Quality over quantity. And i think its the variation of GT5's car list that appeals to people, not necessarily the '1000' number. But removing duplicate cars would be more suited to GT6.

I never said what space GT Life currently makes up. I was referring to for everything that is missing, the space not associated with GT Life can be put to another disk. So then explain why they did it for GT2. There wasn't any room on one of the disk to add info. This was a CD and not a Blu-ray I admit. This was also graphics from the late 90s. Sooo much has changed. Like I mentioned, understanding graphic file size for HD quality would help. For example take a video of a 720p vs a 1080p and notice the file size. And this is just a compressed video. To have HD quality, compressed files needs to minimized as much as possible. On top of that compare an animation DVD to the same Blu-ray animation. Your telling me that the info on the blu-ray doesn't need any more space than the DVD. Besides its not the disk itself that matters, its the info on it.

Anyways whats wrong with me wanting a two disk set again. As many times as I have mentioned it in these threads before your the only one that in blowing smoke up my end for something that I would like to see. Even if they did make a 2 disk GT6 you'd still buy it and you'd still swap the disk if you had to.

This may be a weird way out of order request, but I love cars, its why I play GT5 (and the other games in the series) but I would like the option after you build your own track, to also be able to pick what cars race on that track, I want to pick 6 different fords and 6 different Chevy's and watch them go at it. or Ferrari vs Lambo. Of course this would also mean having to fix the AI so that it wasn't retarded so the faster cars would actually pass.

That is impossible due to memory restrictions. To be able to do that, they will have to reserve memory space to load the garage, taking up space that is currently used for the track. Most of the time that space will be wasted.

1. Add an option to control the amount of head shaking in the cockpit view.
2. Add an option to remove the hands and wheel from cockpit view.
3. FIX THE SOUND ISSUES, and get rid of that annoying tranny whine
4. Give us an event editor with selections for cars, HP, weight, location, etc.
5. Add support for TrackIR, since so many people already have it and shouldn't have to buy a PSEye.

BTW - you need to update your list and scratch off the items that were fixed with the latest patch. ;)

That's goofy; unless the PS3 architecture took several steps backwards and got rid of the concepts of memory swapping and virtual memory...which I highly doubt. :)

This has to be the ONLY game I have ever purchased where the complaints outweight the positive reviews..

This thread is a perfect example. 13 pages of people coming up with simple suggestions to fix an ailing game.

This stupid company should be sued for misrepresentation. What happens in the commercials DOES NOT take place in the actual game. Way over hyped and under delivered. Americans love the lawsuit I'm surprised a class action hasn't been started lol

Personally, Id like to punch the head of development (Kaz I guess) right in the throat with a hand filled with a roll of quarters, stupid douchebag.

To keep on topic. I like the last suggestion where you can pick cars to race. That would make for some interesting events.

Bring back ALL tracks from previous games (Motorland from GT2 with karts :dopey: )

Bring back ALL cars from previous games

Make ALL cars premiums

I seriously hope GT6 will have these.

- When you check the cars you've stored in your garage it should be like an actual show room. You should be able to zoom in, walk around them.

- It should be possible to go insided cars (without a glitch) to take pictures of the interiors.

- It should be possible to upload replays to youtube.

UPDATE: This is taking off hard and the number of suggestions is becoming overwhelming. So hold those thoughts guys, I'm closing suggestions for now until we get some of the existing issues cleared.

Moved to top because everybody seems to have missed it and is continuing to post suggestions.

The time is now. The opportunity is here. Kaz has officially announced updates. He also said he watches forums. We have the chance, right here right now, to give him ideas and to seal GTP's place in the history of the New GT.

So, basically what we do is argue over what we want, weigh that against how long we're willing to wait for GT6, put a bunch of legalese on the final request, and find a method of contacting PD.

What I'm hoping for is:

-A livery editor
-More course editor themes
-THE RETURN OF THE MISSING GT4 TRACKS
-Maybe a few more premiums
-Time-based, rather than laps-based, online and arcade mode racing - is this in from release?
-And maybe a bit more in-depth customization, possibly including a return to GT3's list of racing tire compounds.
-Machine test. Added to master list with no debate - no idea how I missed this one.
-Various random bug fixes, can't argue with this.
-More precise control over the track maker

A combination of livery editor, more customization, and more premiums could easily lend itself to a highly complicated and in-depth OLR series, which is why I put them on the starting list.

Any ideas? Anything you want to add or remove? If we get this done in time, we can more or less choose where GT goes from here.

OK here are some:

-Hood view for standards
-Option to fully or partially remove HUD
-Online leaderboards
-Full G25/G27 Support
-Fix jagged graphics
-Return of FPV (White & Nerdy adds: Hyundai Accent Rally Car too!)
-More cars eligible for RM
-Remove the Car delivery system from SP (White & Nerdy adds: how exactly does this work? I've seen very little about it)
-Weather for all tracks (W&N says: time change too!)
-Remove the paint collecting method and just give us a bloody pallet (W&N: That or allow us to buy colors independently of cars)
-Bring back old GT tracks missing from the game
-Option to review paint on your car before you actually use it.
-A confirmation for the restart button in the pause menu of a race, so that when you accidentally press it you won't have to restart all over
-Be able to upload cars and credits from Prologue
-End copy protection on save game files
-Point to point option in course maker
-Change rims on standard cars
-More balanced car list - more American and less Japanese, especially duplicate Japanese (W&N says: What's done is done. There's still hope for more balance in GT6, however)
-More world real life tracks (like Mexican "Rodríguez Brothers Racetrack" )
-The track, grass etc.. with more imperfections,(actual asphalt&grass looks very "brand new" and looks a little unrealistic ) even more realistic smoke, more detailed graphics. (W&N: Not likely now that the game is finished & released. Also, edited for grammar & spelling)
-More rims and they must cycle (White & Nerdy: Uh...)
-Replace the random/cycling new car dealerships with a static dealership a la GT1-4 (W&N says: this was my idea, but I didn't add it to the main list because I wanted to see how it would go over here first)
-LAN mode
-Kia C'd/Chevy Lacetti (complete the TG portion of the game)
-Support for HP & weight restrictions in online lobbies
-Porsche (W&N says: even if they did get the licensing worked out, they probably wouldn't be able to model any cars quickly enough to use as GT5 DLC)
-B-spec speed back up (W&N: What does this mean?)
-If you start a race, and you forgot i.e. to set-up your car, you have to go all back to Main-menu and start all-over again
-Should be easier to skip the award screen if your doing license and want to go gold
-Traction Control is activated on Sebastian Loeb challenge, seems strange to me, maybe it should be changed?
-Brake Bias is always 50/50, I don't think real cars are like that, maybe it should be changed
-I can't go to A-Spec screen and take a look what car i should buy when i currently have the PDI Kart activated (W&N: I'm barely getting your meaning here, but whatever)
-If there is a problem to connet to the server, game freeze for 30 second until timeout when exiting A-Spec menu, should be fixed if possible
-Repetetive menu BGM (W&N: Does it really matter?)
-It should be easier to filter cars, like in GT4, the power-to-weight filter is missing
-In Online mode, it should be possible only the room owner starts the race, also in regulations it should be possible to set a power limit (already covered), in tire restrictions Racing Soft is missing.
-Check the pad controller code for bugs
-Give advanced users more pad configuration options
-Adjust the G25/G27 clutch-gearshift debounce speed
-Allow permanent disabling of all driving aids so you don't have to turn them off before every race
-Escort Cosworth, Sierra RS500, Fiesta RS, VW Scirocco, more M3s and Golfs, more significant American cars
-Make all cars available in arcade mode with a patch or a $10 special DLC (W&N: Really?????)
-Enable headtracking in all modes
-Stronger FFB
-Multiscreen
-Show personal best time for all tracks
-Reintroduce fast forward for B-spec
-Allow us to change our racing suit
-Premium/post-03 Subaru Legacies
-Reintroduce brake upgrades (W&N says: why was it taken out in the first place?)
-Enable custom soundtrack online
-Enable HP rather than KW power statistic in the Russian version
-Enable tuning to increase the value of the car
-Turn off annoying Spanish people talking while racing online There's no mute button? If someone's annoying you (and who am I kidding, that certainly does happen), just mute them. Suggestion CLOSED.
-A Reliant Robin Since this is even more ridiculous than the Premium Panda I'm going to assume it's a joke. Suggestion CLOSED for now.
-Premium Fiat Panda '90 Joke Submission. Suggestion CLOSED

Remember, we can't ask for the moon, especially if we want GT6 in less than 10 years. So feel free to discuss/debate/argue over what should be DLC'd and what should wait.

UPDATE: This is taking off hard and the number of suggestions is becoming overwhelming. So hold those thoughts guys, I'm closing suggestions for now until we get some of the existing issues cleared.

@Famine: My intention in changing the topic title to "The official un-official petition" was somewhat humorous, but it's hard to explain. Whatever, it's not worth talking about.

I think you forgot the moon on a stick.

I already told you whats wrong with it. There's nothing wrong with having two discs, your idea is just pointless because arcade mode does not use much space, it's just a mode. You keep avoiding that point. I'm just trying to help you understand because...

.....You think there is an arcade file with 1000 car models and 70 track variations as well as GT mode file with 1000 cars and 70 track configs. Remember GT4? One disc.... shared files for Arcade and Sim mode just like GT5.

👍 I completely agree with this. Same goes for some Nissans, Mazdas and Hondas. By doing that it would free up some space for more premium cars or just different cars in general.

PD Please Make an option to choose the steering angle of the steering wheel (the virtual one) in the cockpit view; 900 degrees (for people using 900 degrees real steering wheels) or 180 degrees JUST LIKE Live For Speed
I do not know about You guys ... but i really hate it when i turn my wheel more than 90 degrees to one side when im using the cockpit view and i only see 90 degrees On the screen !!!!

I want a clock which tells me for how long I've been playing the game. It's a little bit late for GT5, but maybe for GT6.

Yea i find this kind of annoying too, this would be a welcomed feature.
But i do wonder if they didn't include this due to memory restrictions, because having the on-screen steering wheel turn 900 degrees would require an extra animation of the drivers arm, which would require more memory :indiff:
