Wow yesterday I think it was about 87 and low humidity here. It's amazing what a cold front can do.

Twas hot today, but it's very cool now. The first time in about a week when the weather was actually comfortable, either day or night. It's a nice relief, man.

Tomorrow is supposed to be cool, and according to the temp right now, it will be. The night's temperature always indicates what the weather is going to be like the next day. Hot night means hot day. Cool night means cool day.

Yeah, it's much cooler, but still sticky from the very high humidity. And people write how SoCal has no humidity. This year, that cannot be said. I've never seen it this humid. Blah...

You guys are in the same city? Why does one use Celsius while the other uses Fahrenheit?

I guess it's a matter of preference, but I thought certain countries use a certain system.

Well just heard in the news today that it's going to be even hotter in the 1st week of August for most people in the UK. Temperatures are set to go above 101 F. I think it's time to booka few days off.

I have a severe thunderstorm bearing down on me. It will be here in like half an hour. It is producing funnel clouds, but the national weather service says the atmosphere is not stable enough to produce a full blown tornado, but should a tornado touch down it is not likely to do much damage.

Personally, I say they are wrong! Last time they said this, it took out a whole bunch of houses.

EDIT:
Here is a picture. I live where the X is on the end of the line.

Finally, a day that didn't reach or go over 100 degrees. The humidity is down, too. The AC is working normally. But, for how long? At least for the weekend, according to the forecast.

Well, I had to go to Milwaukee. I got on the road and all of a sudden it began to downpour. It rained so hard you could not see, so I had to pull over along with every other person on the road. I ended up sitting there for about 20 minutes.

A funnel cloud did touch down, and we had hail.

Crybaby

It was so nice today. High was probably in the low to mid 80's, and little over 70 in my apartment right now. Yessssssssssssssss!

I read that the heatwave hit California pretty hard, and many people died due to heat related causes. Horrible.

It's not that hot there? It's Oregon, only about maybe 400km away from us - you guys aren't getting the heat wave we got here, a6m5?

We were, but our extended forecast shows high 70's for tomorrow, then low 70's after that. I don't mind 80's and 90's a bit, but high 90's to over 100 was bit much.

People died?

Damn, I move to Cali and suddenly theres earthquakes, heatwaves, wildfires, WHAT haas God got against me!?

Every day its over 100 here. 100--110

81 people died. And a lot of cattle. We live 10 miles north of cattle fields here in the Inland Empire. We've been reading in the paper since last week about cattle dropping dead from the heat. Meat and milk prices are gonna go back up, now.

Just a few moments ago, while watching Bikini Destination, I had to get up from my seat and turn down the AC. It's getting cold in here (67)! I actually need a blanket!

The cold weather should last about three more days, then back to the heat. But hopefully, we wont have issues with the humidity anymore. The humidity usually occurs in late July early August and lasts for two weeks, then goes away. So far, it's been around for four weeks, so I hope it's gone for good.

How is the wildfires and the electricity shortage?

Tell me if I understood your post correctly: California got a break from the heat wave and the temperature dropped?

I didn't know that.

That is crazy. You know where I read about the deaths? Japanese Yahoo News. I think The Headline said 90 deaths, so maybe even more deaths were discovered, possibly. Even the cattles. Just, wow.

Sakiale: California is no stranger to out-of-control fires, earthquakes, heatwaves, traffic, or riots. Good news: It has nothing to do with you. Bad news: You will get used to dealing with those things.

Yeah, it seems this cooler weather is the biggest break we've had for over six weeks, now. It's very cold outside, too. About 67. Compare that to 90 at this same time just a few days ago, and you can sense the huge difference in temperature. It's supposed to last until Sunday.

Weather is finally starting to cool down around here, as it only hit mid 80s yesterday.

I wish it would go down ten more degrees though

Last I checked that is just how it is in California, especially the southern part. I always think of California as having wildfires, earthquakes, and being hot.

Then as an aside I picture riots, protests, and walkouts.

The death toll is now at 132 with probably more to come. Hundreds of cattle dead, too. This break is too little too late for some.

It's odd how the weather effects you; everybody in my family are complaining of sore, stiff muscles and a pounding heart beat. I'm suffering from the same thing, tool. I talked to my mom about my aunt from Holland coming over, and she feels the same way. Talked with my sister, and she's feeling the same. Odd, indeed.

The weather is cool. About 92 degrees, and probably wont go over 95. The second day it wont reach at least 100 degrees which it did for three straight weeks.
